Terrible customer service, truck was dirty and on empty. Location pickup wasn't even open until 2 hours after scheduled pickup. App didn't work for early pickup. Everything was terrible about UHaul. I ordered 2 dollies and the location did not have them. They never told me. I got the truck home and did not have them. I called back and all they did was apologize. I had to pay my guys by the hour and it took longer to move to the 3rd floor without them. The service was horrible and the truck smelled musty.Porche M.

The truck was fine. We had rented furniture pads to use for the move. They smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that we didn't even want them in the back of the truck, much less on our furniture!! The pickup location reeked of cigarette smoke too so not a surprise.MOLLY G.
This location is in an old convenience store. From the looks of it, sales of lottery tickets and video poker are all that is keeping the lights on. There doesn't appear to be much movement of the U Haul products. The store is dark and wreaks of stale cigarette smoke. Not a very appealing environment. Not at all like most of the U Haul establishments that I have rented from in the past.darren W.
The owner was very belligerent with me. He over charged me and after me bring this to his attention, he took my keys and cancelled my uhaul reservation after I made made the initial down payment. He realized he was wrong and advise his employee to give me back the keys. He shouted at me and told me to contact customer service about my refund. I advised him that im am active military and I'm on a tight schedule and I also just payed for my rental and I also have a family that I'm moving he took 140.15 twice and 42.50 once plus my initial payment of 156.00 which was all my money that I had to move to Florida with. This owner should not be an authorized agent for uhaul I know this is not what uhaul stand for. I will be reporting this to legal once I get settled in. To treat an armed service member this way is heart breaking. My wife cried at this location. I held my composure it took everything in me.arkelle E.

I didn't like having to pay a dollar per mile plus put gas back in the truck. I never had to pay so much money before when rent before from you all. First I payed 70, then 39.99, then 69.95. for millage. I hope I don't have to use your services no time soon. Too expensive.mary W.

I booked thru the Horner Blvd location for a 1:30 pm Sat pick up. The attendant was not prepared, had no knowledge of my appt. The key was not in her available box, and I walked to the truck 3 times to verify it was not in the truck. I asked her to ck the drop boxes, she told me she had. She made several phone calls to the other location? and finally ckd the 2nd drop box - it was there. She couldn't get my reservation to process in the system, several attempts and finally accepted. LACK OF TRAINING, LACK OF PROCESSES in place for morning attendants ck in at location. I finally left w/the truck after 2:00 pm. NOT happy.Jennifer L.

Inside the store itself is VERY run down, dirty and in disrepair. The attendant took our word for the mileage and fuel amount. She never came out from behind the counter to even look at the truck. It could have totally wrecked and she wouldn't have even known. Not a good experience and I would not recommend anyone to use this location.bonnie S.

I don't have much to say about the location as I do my overall experience with uhaul. UNPROFESSIONAL and changed my reservation on me last minute. Also, told me a pick up time which store wasn't even opened at that time. 30 min drive out of my way. I have many complaints and will call. A move is stressful enough. We are military and after 20 yrs of service and moving, this has been the worst!Elise S.

Attendant had a hard time figuring out computer system and took exceptionally long to enter my information. Did not offer to help hook up the trailer and did no pre road inspection to check lights etc. Also I was given no printed contract which I was told the last time I rented from U-Haul would be used as the registration for the trailer if something were to happen.AARON B.

The guy was nice enough, but there is no service. The printer did not work and I had to hook up my own trailer. After hooking myself up, I drove to the store and asked him to come out and check the lights, which he did. Although the attendant (who was also watching the store) was polite and friendly, this is less service than I have come to expect from U-Haul.Francis G.

Part of reasoning was their internet was extremely slow. 2 people working on contract and had to enter all information twice.No printer on location so no receipt. No help getting hooked up to trailer.ANDREW P.

Was called twice in an effort to rush my drop off. No receipt given when leaving the equipment. No inspection on returned equipment. Worst of all ... the stench of cigarette smoke was so strong I was only able to enter the store as long as I was able to hold my breathe. When I went to turn my truck in (one way turn in, about 5 minutes closer than the one printed on my paperwork), first there was a long wait since only one employee handles both the UHaul and the convenience store. He was very rude when I explained that I couldn't read the mileage due to a "change oil" message. When I brought up my paperwork, he tried to tell me I would be charged extra for dropping it off at their store and not the one on the papers. When I told him that wasn't true, he then acted like I couldn't drop off there because I hadn't rented from there. He finally had to call someone because he didn't know how to look me up in the system, and told me that I could just leave him the key without checking it in. Next time I have a turn-in, I'm just going to use the key drop off, but I'm definitely never going to use this location again.EVAN Y.

Get rid of this place as a distributor. He spoke barely any english, the store was run down and in a bad neighborhood. He had no idea what he was doing when attempting to do the computer work. Even though I had done the online check-in, to expedite the process. I could go on, seriously, I was there over an hour.ADAM S.

Owner is rude. Equipment that was guaranteed to be available wasn't there and he told me it wasn't his problem. No offer to help find the equipment at another location. Totally useless. UHaul doesn't hold their franchise owners to any standards whatsoever. Most don't have any regard for their customers time or money, as this owner very clearly demonstrates. I dealt with 3 locations. The most helpful was D&D on Carbonton Road, who exchanged blankets without any financial benefit. I highly recommend them for their service, and would have preferred to deal with them. The Sanford Food Mart reeked of cigarette smoke, and they didn't have blankets or dollies. Although the truck wasn't overly dirty, the box had enough dirt and debris from the previous move that I felt it was necessary to clean it before use. Obtaining blankets etc. required a trip to the Regal Inn down the road, which was so filthy that a cockroach ran across the counter during the transaction. The blankets reeked, and were so nauseating we ended up exchanging at D&D.Jeffrey B.

The location where I eventually picked up the uhaul was fine. It was a bad experience because the place I went to was closed, even had a reservation in southern pines, nc. I traveled to 2 other places out of the way and then had trouble renting because they couldn't find the reservation. Uhaul is usually seamless but not at all this time. They did issue a credit so that was good for the hassle.Charleen B.

Ensure reservations are correct so that customers do not have to wait around and burn time and money while things get corrected. Location smells of cigarette smoke!! The 26ft truck I rented needs new headlights, the current ones work but are extremely dim. Location billed me for two days truck rental and Safemove when I only used one. Would only recommend this location as a last resort.
