I was guaranteed a truck at the loves park location but at last minute you guys changed my pick up location to Beloit , wi. 30 minutes away compared to 5 minutes. Then I had movers to come here at 8:00am but my pick up time was now 12:30. I was pissed off to be honest but then truck pick up was at 9:15 after I complained. Movers were called and I was lucky that they said they'd come later.RICHARD R.

i never got a text call or an email saying my pick up location have changed to this location so I called the original location and they give me the 888 number to call now that lady was rude and did not even portend to look into my info and kept repeating this is the nearest we can get a trailer for you when the other lady in the location planed for me said we have one but cant give it to you because you are getting a text saying you have to go to Beloit location keep in mind that my appointment was at 11:30 and I called at 11:00 since I never received any contact prier to my call this was a bad service from someone and it trickled down and mad me mad I was late for my appointment and I had to drive back from Illinois to Wisconsin to get the trailer and then go to my appointmentMOHAMMED A.

We were delayed 4 hrs leaving due to faulty wiring so the running lights wouldn't work to drive at night. Tony's came out to repair and the technician was a absolute champ. He repaired 4 different corroded connections and wires that were gone if the insulation on the wiring. After repairing what he could get to on the roadside, uhaul determined we needed a different trailer. The closest one was a 40 min drive one way. This delayed us another hr and a half. The second trailer worked flawlessly. We were promised a discount over the phone from uhaul. But good old corporate uhaul processed the bill Wednesday at the full rate. Not impressed with being lied to by uhaul support.BRADLEY S.

Employees were not wearing masks when I picked up truck. I ordered furniture blankets on the website, but the location did not have them. The truck cab stunk of stale beer. Had to wipe down the vehicle's cab with clorox wipes and purchase an air freshener.austin S.
Remove stickers from the cargo van window. Clean ice from windshield-it wasn't done. Caked up on wipers. Gasoline or e85 was a question. Delayed return. I bought mobile data for my phone and the mobile return location system failed at the u-haul website. My smartphone worked. Return took too long. It was after hours but an employee was leaving when I got there just after 2:00 while trying to return. I wasn't offered assistance. Usually I have a better experience at that location. Honestly after dealing with the pick up taking 45 min to complete because no one bothered telling me it was gonna ask for my lease, a passport and a lot of other non applicable things to rent a truck, then the mileage cost on top of it.. I will check out Budget for the next time before using uhaul again. This isn't the Schultz people, its how uhaul is set up. Not very user friendly. The drop off was easierJane E.

The only reason I didn't give this location an excellent is that I already had a receiver and ball from U-haul but I needed the ball removed and flipped to the other sided of the receiver. I was told that this location doesn't have a wrench big enough to remove the ball from the receiver. I had to purchase the last receiver and ball that they had on the shelf now I have two U-haul receivers. Otherwise everything else went really smooth.Stephen C.

Unmanned location so if you run into problems, you're stuck. Two of us sat on hold with the UHaul service number for over an HOUR with no help. We couldn't reach anyone on Chat either. We had to drive all the way to Loves Park, IL to find a staffed office with someone who could help. Then we had to turn around and drive back to Beloit to pick up the truck. The UHaul website is NO HELP if you run into same-day problems. Also, the UHaul service number is NO HELP if you run into same-day problems.Heidi N.

Inwas told the gas tank was full. After I drove it 16 miles total, I refueled and it ended up taking 8 gallons of gas. If that truck really does get a 2 miles to the gallon, it has a problem.JAMES W.

Schultz Power Equipment was great. The serviceman was outstanding and made the transaction easy.... Getting through to uhaul online and on the phone was terrible. I spent 3 hours on the phone trying to resolve my reservation that Uhaul cancelled. (I had a reservation made in advance and then was told there was no trailer available within an hour of me). Each person I talked to had a different answer and couldn't seem to help me. It was only after I called for a new reservation did I get directed to this station. There seemed to be no way to reach a local representative. The agents were nice. They just couldn't seem to help. Again. This location was great. The man in charge was extremely helpful... but the phone service of Uhaul will have me questioning whether I ever try to rent from Uhaul again.Richard P.

My only complaint is is booked at another location closer to my house. I never go a notification or call from Uhaul that my pick up location changed. I called he day before just to confirm, and found out it had changed to another town& state. Had I not called, I would have never known. What's the point in choosing my pick up location, if you don't have the trailer there??Stacey M.

The facility was extremely un- helpful and we had sooo many issues Wiff the online no contact server , sat in the facility parking lot for over an hour trying to get the keys to simply leave . The uhaul was in ok shape And obviously well maintained but floor was quite dirty . Ruined our morning, will never return to this facility again . When we tried calling uhaul customer service , we waited in a queue for ten minutes then was disconnected. What a horrific experience!Carsom B.

The business as a whole is the relationship provider with UHaul. The front counter lady was way less than helpful. I would never shop at Schultz. It was conveyed to me that she has no idea about anything UHaul. Only one person there knew anything what to do. I had to go chase down the one guy and find out the situation from him when everything that I needed was actually inside the store. Collectively their incompetence wasted another 20 minutes of my time when I should have been able to simply get moving pads and a key and be on my way. Instead I waited in line only to be told that counter lady had no clue what was going on and I needed to go find their one and only employee who deals with UHaul.Felicia K.

Originally I reserved a vehicle transport at the Cranston Blvd location, but the day I went to pick it up they told me they had rented it to someone else. Thankfully they were able to find another one at the Madison Rd location so I could still make my trip, but it would have been a major inconvenience had that not been possible.Nick W.

If the customer only needs the truck for a few extra hours there should be a cheaper option or prorate the amount. Because charging for almost full day's use for an extra 3 hours doesn't seem right. I paid $56 initially & for an extra 3 hours it was another $47. That doesn't even add up.Raven D.

My confirmation email sent us to the wrong location. I reserved a pick up on Prairie Hill Rd but there are no vehicles there . Because we were late to pick up, they cancelled our reservation. When new rental was made , they didn't give us a full 24 hours. They told us to fill it up with gas. It took over 11 gallons, but we'd only driven 25 miles. They then said to only replace the gas we'd used. They should have rented it out with a full tank. No customer friendly. Hard to manage exactly how much gas we used and how much to replace. They would not reimburse us for the additional gas. Seems like a great way to get free gas. Not a happy customer. The entire process was difficult and a pain in the ass.Abigail S.
The price was alot more expensive then what was advertised the $29.95 a day added up to almost 140 for 2 days after adding on all of the extras. Last year I rented and for 2 days cost less then $50.00, what a year makes.Tammy S.
