When I arrived to return the trailer, I showed up at 350PM. The lady who checked me in was nice. There was another lady behind the counter who was very rude. She told me they close at 330PM and I would be checked in the following day. I politely mentioned my contract states the return time is 4PM. She reiterated the store closes at 330PM. The lady who checked me in thanked me and said she would check the trailer in on time. I will be taking my business to the U-haul in Indio in the future, they have really good customer service.

JENNIFER HI went there for the convenience of location, but there’s no real customer service. There is no one in the office so I did it online through the app. The last time I was there I went in the office and they told me to just do it on the app.

Steven NWe checked in online and when we went to the front desk, they proceeded to tell us that they had accidentally just given our truck to the couple before us. They then had to scramble to fix it in the system, and they proceeded to give us a car that had a defective fuel tank. It added many hours to our trip because it added 30-40 minutes to each gas stop. Something is wrong with the fuel tank, and no gas pump will stay engaged in it. Every 1-2 seconds the gasoline would bubble up, triggering the gas pump to turn off. We had to sit there and pump it by hand for 30+ minutes at every stop until the tank was full.
Jewel CAs soon as we arrived at the location, we were greeted with a very negative attitude and were immediately told that there were no vans available. I explained that I had a reservation, at which point the staff proceeded to ask for our information. Throughout the entire process, the staff appeared annoyed and unwelcoming, which made us feel very uncomfortable. When we were finally given the keys, the van was in poor condition and appeared unkempt and dirty, both on the exterior and interior. When I returned the van, I was accompanied by my supervisor because I had expressed how uncomfortable I felt during the initial interaction. Unfortunately, we were greeted with the same negative and unprofessional attitude upon returning the vehicle. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The customer service was unpleasant, and the condition of the vehicle did not meet my expectations. I will not be returning to this location and would not recommend it to others based on my experience.
Anitza JThe front tires were bald....like down to the steel belting with metal exposed. Had a blowout in the middle of nowhere and waited four hours for a tow truck to install new tires. One front blew out and the other was bald and had the exposed steel belts. Ruined my day and ruined my customers day who I was using the truck to serve. Really really dangerous and bad maintenance protocol to miss the condition of those tires. I should be able to hop in the truck and drive without worrying about maintenance and condition of vehicle. That is your job to worry about

Mark Fthis is a large U-Haul facility coupled with a storage facility. There is no one at the facility to help with disconnecting the trailer or repositioning it where they want it stored. I had to use self-check-in which was a major disappointment. I expected the facility to help disconnect their safety cables which are very short, very stiff and they have large spring loaded hooks that were VERY difficult to disconnect from my BMW X5. It took about 10 minutes lying on my back under the vehicle to get those oversized hooks to unhook. Self-checking likely saves U-Haul a lot of money on personnel, BUT it is really BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Leslie MThe customer service person did her best. She was the only person working while seven people were waiting in line to sign out a truck. She asked me to use the U-Haul app to return the truck, but it didn't work. The company needs to improve the app; it's not user-friendly. I had to wait in line, which was upsetting. If she had taken care of the problem at the counter. I wouldn't have to wait in line again.
Veronica DDespite being advised that the drop off location was open until 5 pm, when I arrived at 4 pm they told me that they do not accept returns after 3.30 pm. The lady (Rachel) was not very friendly and the entire return process via the UHaul app was very difficult and took almost 1 hour to complete. Would not use this facility in the future amd hate using the UHaul return app which doesn't seem to work reliably. We had to make numerous restarts to get the app to work correctly. Very frustrating!

MARIO DYour vehicles are 5/5 stars. Cecilia in the Security Public Storage office was amazing! She did an excellent customer service job, she was very helpful and knowledgeable. She is a great asset to have there! She is very calm despite the very busy work that she does and very efficient with all the customers in the location. Again, she is a great asset and I hope she is there for many many years!.

Jack SThe truck wasn't cleaned between uses. I cleaned it before using, and before bringing it back. Upon return, the person at the counter didn't want to check it in, and just suggested it get the app to do it online myself. Essentially, I did her job for her. Whatever.

LESLIE CThe truck we rented had no lights on the dashboard. The high beams won’t stay on. The headlights are really dim. This truck is dangerous for night driving and should be repaired asap
Manuel RGreat location. The only issue was the staff did not seem to have the correct drop-off date. This might have been do to the load share program . The load share gives you an extra day and extra miles. I have done a couple of load shares and U-Haul has gone over and above to make it easy.

Maribel PThe truck was dirty inside the cab. Soda sprayed on the interior of the windshield and spilled down the side of the cup holder. There were food crumbs on the floor. The back had not been reset; the dolly was handed to us as we left the office and there was a used furniture mat loose; not placed back in the equipment bag. The floor was filthy in there as well. Lastly, I didn’t find Cecilia to be very friendly.

daniel kI received an email the night before my rental changing the pickup location from the original one to a nearby one which is fine. The email confirmed that the pickup time was 8 AM at this location. When I got to this location at 8AM the location was closed with the hours clearly posted on the door indicating they open at 8:30 AM.

Joseph OThe manager Cecilia was amazing, truly . She made my wife and I feel welcome when dealing with the reservation. She had a great story which made me resonate with her and felt compassionate. She seemed to understand our situation even if it was a truck rental and gave us good information about the truck and what to do once we brought it back.
Erick AWas billed incorrectly. Service was slow. In fact nobody was onsite when I first arrived. No one was available to attach the trailer so I did it myself. They couldn’t find the truck and had to go look for it. The gas was just a little over 1/4 of a tank.
Frank CCargo trailer was dirty. There’s was a motor oil slick all over the inside of the cargo trailer. When I got home and noticed before loading, I called the location and they told me it was out of there control and I had to contact 800-U-Haul. I did, the phone operator could’ve cared less about my issue.
Timothy WTwo issues: the light harness was damaged. It was replaced by another harness but that was also faulty and would not plug fully into our tow vehicle flat 5 socket. We held it in place with the spring loaded plug cover on our tow vehicle. Also, I was clear that the trailer was going to be dropped off in Escondido on the 1st by 4pm but I still got charged for an extra day when I dropped it off. Not happy about that.

José GI dropped off after hours. They called me because they didn’t have a code to the UHaul lock. It doesn’t seem like the communication is great between the facilities.
Robin BDid not receive confirmation call from uhaul. The requested equipment was not available at pickup. Was able to rent larger truck for same price. It doesn't make sense to potentially have a customer drive across town to pick up a truck, especially when the customer is paying for mileage. As a customer I choose where I would like to rent from based on proximity to the work I need to do and convenience.

Robin SCons: All was well but was not able to find a clear place to drop the keys off after hours. There was no ‘U-Haul’ orange box at all as directed. Pros: clean and well-lit. Plenty of space to park.

amy lI reserved the equipment across the street from my office. The equipment was available when I ordered but, the day of the pick up it wasn't there and I was required to drive 6 miles out of my way to pick up a truck. The truck's check engine light was on and the check gas cap indicator was on. I was told, "that's the only truck that size we have." I'm confident the truck was running rich, costing money on fuel. Driving out of the way and the truck running cost me money on a very tightly budgeted move.
