Drop off - I pulled up, the worker was talking to a buddy about fantasy and completely ignored more for MINUTES. I eventually got him to take my keys and start the return process. He goes back to talking fantasy football with his friend over his cell phone and completely ignores I'm there. Lounges back and laughed away with the friend. After 5-10 minutes, I got frustrated and told him he looks like he has things handled. As I walked out, he said, â€œBro, I need the mileage of the u haulâ€. I told him I have been here for 5 minutes and maybe you should've told me that besides setting me aside while you talk fantasy over the phone. He then got up *sorry for the language* and says, â€œ What the fuck did you just say. I will beat your ass, bro.â€ I walked out and he chases me out of the return all office. He says, â€œGet the fuck back here. Give me the fucking keys, I will do it myself. Get out of here or I'll beat your assâ€. I was threatened and ignored. There were multiple witnesses and I hope this location gets shut down. Absolutely unacceptable. If you don't believe me, look at the security footage. I about called the police. The worst of it all is I waited over an HOUR to talk with customer service about the experience. Got the guy on the phone and he had the I don't care attitude. Just ignored everything I told him about the man. Obviously, uhaul doesn't care about the safety of their customers. Unless I hear back that this has been fired, I will find another company to conduct business. I am still fuming over the behavior of the customer service rep and the one who I returned the uhault to. I would like to see a reply to make sure this actually gets read by management.Aaron B.

Although once I got the truck the experience was fine. But I had a horrible time trying to get a truck this weekend. The truck I was supposed to get Saturday never showed up. And then Sunday I waited a hour and there was no dolly avaiable which is what I ask for. The gentleman at the location was very nice but my experience getting a truck was horrible. I pick the UHaul up at 6:30 pm and brought the truck back at 9 pm and it was not due back until 10:30p. Got there and the guy said he would check me out in the morning because they was closing at 9:30 and they charged me for the next morning and that's not when I returned the truck. Reserved a 15' truck - had to take a 26' truck which was way larger and used much more gas than I needed. Reservation was for 7:30am. Location had staffing / computer issues and didn't get truck until 8:30am which put me behind scheduleDAVID D.
Left rear tire sensor showed low pressure at time of pick up and there was NO air fill at this location. I was told I needed to drive down the road and fill the tire myself. That's not good customer service. I was not pleased that I had to fill the tire myself, and by the end of our trip, the tire pressure was low again.James S.

Poorest customer service I have ever encountered. The clerk and district manager were rude and inappropriate and expected it to be tolerated. I was told by phone my location changed and I could pick up as early as 7. The original reservation was for 9 because the original facility opened at 9. When I arrived the clerk was rude and difficult and partially answered questions. I said I would drop off at an alternate site but quickly changed to return to the pick up location the clerk said she already charged the and couldn't change it. I said we would call to fix the charges and she gave me directions on how to return the vehicle. When I returned she told I couldn't drop it off in the same rude manner the district manager called and asked what happened and continued to interrupt and tell me she didn't throw the keys at me she did in fact they landed on the counter. When I responded verbally as they were speaking to me they threatened to call the police and banned me from uhaul. Poorest customer service everTroy H.

The transmission on the truck was slipping. The truck definitely needs to be looked at prior to renting it out. If someone is not experienced with trucks, they might not know there is an issue, potentially leading to a serious accident. This location also only had one woman working the check out for the gas station and u-haul truck rental. I had to stand in line for 20 minutes to return the truck. This was not a problem for me, but this could be an issue for someone who is close to the end of their "rental time." In addition, I requested a furniture dolly, and this location did not have one, so I had to pay more for a utility dolly. This was just a little thing, but another annoyance. Moving is stressful enough, and I was not thrilled with my experience of renting the U-haul truck. I would have preferred to use a location that I am familiar with, but unfortunately, I was relocated to this pick-up location.Carrie L.
At the time of this rental I was greeted at the store by a rude woman who told me I couldn't use a credit card to pay for the rental and then questioned if I had the $100 cash for the deposit. I ended up needing to cancel the rental, never used it, and called in to the company (u-haul) to get a refund of my deposit and to tell them about my horrible experience at the store and I was told that a Manager, Nathan would be calling but I have not heard from him or the company and I still have not received my deposit back. No comments regarding this location. But the overall service and issues with reservations not only for the truck but with movers who were set up and schedualed through the site. I honestly would not recomment Uhaul to anyone with the poor level of service received all the way around on a move ffrom PA to OH. Not to mention the equipment reserved and promised was not even available and the move not completed because we had to use a much smaller truck.Scott A.

The online check in process is a joke! I tried for one hour to check in online and it would not work. I went inside and your system was still not working properly. This issue made me late for my item pick up because of this delay. This was the worst experience!Adreana T.

Horrible communication. Charged me extra when I returned it on time. Absurd. I forgot to put on mask, and they said I need it on rightfully so. Then they weren't even wearing masks themselves. One just had it on his chin, and the guy stocking didn't even have one on at all! Don't recommend!John M.
Location fine. Nothing worth writing about. However, the online check in and check out process is a major pain in the butt. First off, when it gave me the options it said â€œGo inside store for keyâ€ ORRRR â€œMobile check inâ€. I then had to fill out the forever long check in and STILL GO IN THE STORE TO GET MY KEY!!! And why the heck is it necessary to call the other contact I list on the form? So dumb. Then it's late, dark, and cold when I return and now I have to take pictures of everything??? I've rented Uhauls before and went into the store for the process and it was way easier. Never had to take photos or do anything extra. Also, don't make it seem like the mobile process will be contactless, when it's not.Carlyn D.

I had picked up the truck on Carnegie, and dropped it off in Willowick. I was given 50 miles and did not use all of them. The attendant said I would get e-mailed a final invoice with a reduction since I didn't use all the miles and the gas charge. I received the gas charge but no updated invoice with the reduction.. The clerk was on his cell phone during both transactions for pick up and drop off of the truck. I requested moving blankets that were not in the truck. When I told the clerk he said to check the other trucks and we had to retrieve them ourselves. The inside of the truck was dirty. We didnt even put our coffee cups in the holders they were filthy.DIANA R.

Fix your system so it doesnt show the truck as returned when I'm picking up. And your vendor should probably handle issues like this, not telling the customer to call U-Haul themselves. They decided to make the extra revenue renting U-Hauls so they should probably do the legwork on customer issues and serve as a better liason. An absolutely terrible experience all around. Will be renting from another service in the future.Patrick S.
