Actually giving people the supplies they order, i.e. dollies, pads, etc., would go a long way towards giving customers a decent experience. As it stands, I won't be coming back.Peter S.
The uhaul, smart phone check in at this location needs revamped. It will take 30 minutes to get checked in for your reservation at this location. Have to deal with gas station customers also, I understand their transactions are quicker, but then uhaul should make their process quicker. The fuel gauge was not where the system had it was noted, is this a marketing practice in the hopes the consumer doesn't check or does your unit have a fuel leak in which case the customers should get a fuel reimbursement, or is someone siphoning off your fuel. Paperwork from house purchase from previous customer sitting on dashboard, wet on the bottom of cup holder with paperwork in cup holder, crushed pill on floor of cargo area, could be just the last customer had no respect for equipment. The online reservation system cites a fee if you can't do the return process on your own, but the check out process requires so much input from the facility, employee has to see drivers license, customer has to take pictures of license (could be done online). Pictures during checkout process need to be of better quality to show previous damage, had to take several photos to ensure damage I noted could be seen in photos. Also system needs to allow user to zoom in on photo they are submitting to ensure the damage they are seeing is visible in photo.Nathan P.

They lost keys to U-Haul truck. We had to wait 1 hour until found keys . The U-Haul truck check Engine light was on and it had a bad exhaust leak. Was not impressed with U-Haul!!!Craig L.
The AC did not work in the truck and my son said that one of the struts may be going, he happens to be the used car Manager for the Classic Auto group in Mentor. He had are 91 year old grandfather going for the ride. We are all doing are best in the world today. Im also the the founder of the VFR - VFRhomefront.org . . Im not here to say anything bad, but the maintenance on the truck was a bit off. We appreciate the use of the Vehicle and the followup and set up was Great !!!!!David K.

The truck was filthy!!! The service was basically lazy and other â€œgas station customersâ€ we taken in between our transaction making it longer for us to be serviced and permitted to get our truck! The return was just as bad. We had to make several trips from the store to the truck to obtain information and the utility dolly from the truck. Had the clerk told us all this upfront but would have done in one trip and even prior to walking into the gas atation. Each time we had to walk out and then back in we were forced to wait in line while other customers were serviced. Oh have a picture of the inside of the truck. It was gross!! U-haul should be embarrassed that this site is permitted to use their name! Will never use this site again and will NEVER recommend it to anyone! On a scale of 1-10 and 10 being the bestâ€¦they deserve a 0 for Customer Service and Cleanliness of Truck!George D.

The vehicle had no gas and I had to fill it myself in order to complete my move. In addition I was supposed to pick my vehicle up at 7 am, and the store wasn't open till 8 am. It threw the whole schedule off for my moving day. The person that checked me in was extremely rude as well. I will never rent from U-Haul again.Ivy E.
The ignition was sticking and took several tries to get the key to turn. Upon starting the vehicle, the â€œservice tire monitor systemâ€ message appeared on the dash. I alerted the clerk in the gas station at the location that I picked up the vehicle and he said â€œyeah, they know about itâ€. While driving, the check engine light come on and remained on for the duration of the rental. When braking.. the steering wheel violently shook. Upon returning the vehicle, I informed the clerk who seemed completely disinterested.Kevin K.

We got to the shop at 425 for our 430 arrival. When we got there the guy said he had to go to the bathroom and asked us to step out so he could lock up. He was gone maybe ten minutes then he helped 4 other people before he finished us. We said something after 30 mins of being there and he got angry and vulgar towards us. Finally gave us the keys and we left. The Uhaul had little to no gas. Just very inappropriate behavior from the guy.Melissa R.

Gas was left basically empty and then charged for low gas when returned with the same amount. Got to the location and then waited 32 minutes to be checked in. The attendant wasn't able to tell me which truck I was taking so I had to just try to get into all of them.JESSICA B.
Good afternoon today I had a reservation at 12:00 at 29000 lakeshore sunoco gas station, I request a 10" truck with a appliance dolly. There were no dolly inside the truck, I was told to check the other five uhaul trucks, to determine if any dollies were available. There were absolutely no dollies present. I had to call customer service to have them find me a dolly, at a another location. Now I'm behind my schedule an hour and had to go to a another location at 36200 euclid to get a dolly. Im very disappointed with the service and would consider a refund. My family and I didn't have a enough time to finish moving. I'm very disappointed with this service and would like for the management to consider a refund please and thank you.WILLIE M.

The truck was filthy when I picked it up, little gas in it, and it took quite awhile to get the app going which in the end meant going into the gas station to pick up the key anyways. It ran horribly, at 144 thousand miles but since I was only using it for the day I didn't bother saying anything or returning it for one that was mechanically roadworthy. As for the return, it should be well documented at this point at UHaul. The "owner" of the Willowick Sunoco said my card was being charged much more than it was supposed to be and when i asked for a copy of the breakdown he refused. The guy obviously wasn't the owner but still was adamant stating he was. He said he wasn't going to give me the "fucking" receipt for the UHaul and then told me to get the "fuck" out of his station. I have moved way too many times and have used UHaul in the past but after this experience I wouldn't consider it and should have gone to the police. Then I looked at reviews online of this gas station and it said just 5 days earlier a couple had major problems also with the UHaul rental here. Take a look at the reviews and believe them. Another review said he refused to give them a receipt because the customer was charged double on their back statement. The different reviews showed me that all of the problems here are systemic and not one-off. This station and the "owner" should not be allowed to operate in Willowick, it belongs in the ghetto, not here in Willowick. If you want to be screamed at (without him wearing a mask), cussed out, refused a receipt, and charged more without explanation then have a go at this. I will say the UHaul Area Field Manager did help pacify the situation meaning I didn't have to go through my cc to fight the charges. The UHaul name is definitely tarnished by the Willowick Sunoco and should consider partnering with a different small business in the area. If you are considering renting from this place, use a cc that will back you up as you will need it.Mark K.

YES!!! It would have been NICE for the agent to KNOW the ins and out of the Uhaul contract when it comes to mileage. I misunderstood the mileage and offered to increase the amount but she told meâ€¦ â€œit doesn't matter!â€ Well it turns out it DOES matter!!! I was charged 99 cent for every mile over which cost me $100. I was livid because we had a conversation about that specifically and I was given the WRONG information and it cost ME dearly all because the agent was NOT fully knowledgeable or didn't care. Drop off - I pulled up, the worker was talking to a buddy about fantasy and completely ignored more for MINUTES. I eventually got him to take my keys and start the return process. He goes back to talking fantasy football with his friend over his cell phone and completely ignores I'm there. Lounges back and laughed away with the friend. After 5-10 minutes, I got frustrated and told him he looks like he has things handled. As I walked out, he said, â€œBro, I need the mileage of the u haulâ€. I told him I have been here for 5 minutes and maybe you should've told me that besides setting me aside while you talk fantasy over the phone. He then got up *sorry for the language* and says, â€œ What the fuck did you just say. I will beat your ass, bro.â€ I walked out and he chases me out of the return all office. He says, â€œGet the fuck back here. Give me the fucking keys, I will do it myself. Get out of here or I'll beat your assâ€. I was threatened and ignored. There were multiple witnesses and I hope this location gets shut down. Absolutely unacceptable. If you don't believe me, look at the security footage. I about called the police. The worst of it all is I waited over an HOUR to talk with customer service about the experience. Got the guy on the phone and he had the I don't care attitude. Just ignored everything I told him about the man. Obviously, uhaul doesn't care about the safety of their customers. Unless I hear back that this has been fired, I will find another company to conduct business. I am still fuming over the behavior of the customer service rep and the one who I returned the uhault to. I would like to see a reply to make sure this actually gets read by management.Aaron B.

Although once I got the truck the experience was fine. But I had a horrible time trying to get a truck this weekend. The truck I was supposed to get Saturday never showed up. And then Sunday I waited a hour and there was no dolly avaiable which is what I ask for. The gentleman at the location was very nice but my experience getting a truck was horrible.
