I attempted the mobile pick up for the first time, choosing the location closest to where I would be using the truck. This was not a good choice for me as I have a disability making it difficult to walk and climb. Due to this, the checkout and check in procedures take far too long. Also had to walk around the building to go inside to get the key which had not been put in the key locker, then had to wait while the c-store clerk called the boss since the clerks no nothing about truck rentals. I rent trucks several times a year for business purposes and will use a different location and in person checkout/pickup for future rentals.Elizabeth B.

The lady was very unprofessional, did not explain where she wanted the trailer, asked me to write the information on a sticky note as she was putting ice down her shirt to â€œstay awakeâ€. The truck was bigger than I need but nothing smaller was available so they gave me a smaller truck price. Although, the truck itself was horrible. No cruise control, no CD player, not even a hookup to play music off of another device. The engine was very underpowered and gas mileage wasn't good at all even with my attempts to make it better. Not even a turbo charged engine like most trucks are. The only thing the truck had was good air conditioning.BRADLEY K.

Veronica was very accommodating and friendly. Great service.. Note that she wrongly attached the trailer. She wouldn't allow us to leave the way we had attached it and she changed what did. We had rented earlier just a few weeks ago so we knew what we were doing. And, when we arrived at our drop off location, the staff they were shocked at how she had attached the trailerMaureen N.
Clerk did not seem to know how to rent the equipment, suggested that the person who left earlier was the one who was supposed to rent things and he didn't get paid to do the rentals, but he would do it to take care of customer. When I expressed concern that the ratchet mechanism on the tow dolly was rusted and would not spin/tighten correctly his only solution was that I unload the car, unhook the trailer and go somewhere and purchase lubricant to fix the issue. He said that normally someone does maintain the equipment. I would decline to return to this location in the future.Timothy Edward B.

Allow us to pick it up where you stay we drove several hours from where we live because the day before we were supposed to pick up we were informed he didn't have any trucks this has happened many times before apparently Wyoming and Montana aren't important enough to make sure that when you reserve a truck you get it. Then when we got there they didn't have one and we had to go to another location after waiting several hours for them to locate a truck for us if it is within my power I will never use U-Haul again very frustratedJulie D.

I completed an online reservation more than 15 days before the rental day, and they didn't have the truck that I reserved. I reserved a 20' truck, and I ended up with a 26' because it was the only truck available in Billings. I'm so disappointed, and it was unacceptable the way I was treated. The lady in charge told me over the phone in a rude way, take that truck or cancel it, it's your only option. Also, I had to pick up the moving equipment I bought/rented somewhere else. The truck was fine, but my whole experience renting the vehicle was horrible.Luis C.

The hidden â€œrental chargeâ€ of $39.90 basically doubled my bill to $79.90 for one day. I understand charging for insurance and mileage. But the rental charge is not disclosed and it is outrageous when you advertise your rentals are only $19.95 per day.George H.

I received a bill the day after I dropped off the truck. It was in clean condition but not inspected to confirm as much. It was returned on time but the young lady said the owner wouldn't be inspecting it or doing anything with it till Monday morning. I called about the additional charges gave my information to the employee on duty. I expect that if it isn't put into the computer as being returned today I will be expecting another bill for an additional overage. I am not impressed by this and hope all of this will be handled in a prompt manner I expect a callback from the dealer and/or Uhaul soon to assure me this matter has been resolved. Pulled up to the drop off in Billings and the young, poorly dressed attendant said he had to go to the bathroom, just write your name down on this piece of paper and I'll take care of it. Just drop the trailer off out next to the other ones. Never looked at the trailer, didn't help me unhook, nothing. I dropped off off the trailer 28 hours after I rented it in Spokane. Today I get an email with a 20.80 charge for an extra day. What the hell, so I called Billings to a kid answering the phone,â€what's up?â€. Very professional! I'm not happy or impressed. As I shared in another review, the owner is not pleasant to deal with. It appears that when I returned the truck, he was made aware of my comments and he was unpleasant. There were some crumbs in the truck/driver area (minimal) and he said clen out or I will charge a clean up fee. It was quite absurd, but, I complied. I don't think the truck was spotless when we picked it up. We were 3 hours late, but, we could not call because as I shared in the prior review, the telephone number does not work at this location, so we could not call. I think the time fee should have been prorated but it was not worth discussing. As I shared before, calls to Customer Service were worthless; the wait was always a minimum of 25 minutes and when you are traveling, espeically through rural areas, this is really unacceptible. Once customer service was on the line, most often they were not informative and the call was dropped.Kim G.

I called Customer Service twoce when I called this location at the number on my contract(see note) over 30 times.and there was NO answer. I was uncertain whether the facility was still open. Customer Service at UHaul did NOT help and we finally drove to the facility in Billings. The dealer was RUDE, NASTY and insisted that they would have answered the phone had we called. Then, another staffer said, "oh Uhaul has the wrong phone number" I called both the number provided by Uhaul and the telephone directory. Neither were every answered...I am so disgusted with Uhaul and the service that I will not ever use your services again. I still have two pieces of equipment. Your Customer Service is totally incompetent. The representative, when I was calling from a remote location, could not distinguish the contracts and expected me to do this. I asked 8/7 for a Supervisor to call me back, this never happened. I am spending voer $1000 plus for this equipment and with the exception of the Sioux Falls Uhaul (pick up location for truck) it was the WORST experience ever.Kim G.

The employee at the Sinclair station was very pleasant and helped us obtain the truck while doing his job of waiting on customers for the gas station. After taking the truck to the house and having it more than halfway full to the ceiling, we received a call from a man who said he was the U-Haul supervisor. He told us in no uncertain terms we had to return the truck as it was an in town truck only. We explained to him how far we had come packing our things into the truck and he still said we had to bring it back in. We explained we had reserved the truck two weeks earlier and at that location it was the only truck that size. That was the one we got to use. He said he would charge us double to get the truck back to Billings if we did not return it ourselves. We told him it was their fault and their problem but if he wanted to send another truck over with people to help switch them, that would be okay. He wasn't willing to do that and stood his ground. We explained that was what the rental agreement we signed said and he finally gave in. It was very unprofessional of him to treat us this way.Bob L.
