The representative named Sarah (she works for Esso on Stratford pickup location)on this location had no idea what is customer service. She was rude and ignorant, was swearing frequently and I don't think that is a mature way to greet customers.ARUNA P.

I was really frazzled because I had ordered a vehicle that was too small and I had people waiting for me plus deadlines re: elevators etc. Kelsey remained calm and got the transfer paperwork done very quickly but carefully - and she explained things clearly. It was all very smooth. We returned the truck well before the deadline and the clerk, Novget (?) was very nice and very helpful.Wendy M.

We spent over 25 minutes of rental time clearing ice and snow from windows of the rental. There was no equipment available to clear said ice and snow in the vehicle. Had we not have had one in our own car. This rental would not have happened. The rental as a result was not ready or in condition to be rented. I am furious over this.Gary G.
I have a VERY strong suspicion that the when re-filling the gas tank upon returning the truck, the gas gauge was RIGGED to reflect LESS that what was refilled. The needle stalled at just over half filled, despite CONSTANT top-ups!! I was then asked to pay a hefty fee at the service counter to compensate, but I was given the option to refill it again, with a suggested estimate, and when I did 5 minutes later, the needle then jumped and naturally I overfilled and probably paid 20 or more dollars for gas than I should have. Again, upon returning the truck, I kept topping up (3 times in fact) to get to my original departure level, but the gas gauge STALLED. Unfortunately, I suspect u-Haul, with its supplemental installed 'eco gas' gauge, is aware of this glitch. I'll be looking into it further. Also, the truck was really dirty inside and out. When the side mirrors, for example are so crusted with dirt that it makes difficult to see what's behind you, that's dirty.Ralph S.

Our Uhaul ended up not coming with the equipment we ordered so we had to wait for them to talk to 5 other uhaul places . Eventually sent us to mitchell to go get the equipment ourself. Get there and the lady doesn't even know what we're talking about as if the person from Esso never told them we were coming. We were charged an extra $100 for a security deposit and we STILL have not received it and have not been getting any response about itAshton C.

You phone me and told me my contract had an additional 50 Kilometers added because you made me pick up the truck in waterloo. When I returned the truck the 50 extra kilometers was not there. And I had to pay for the extra mileage. Not nice.will B.

Was unable to complete move using my u haul truck as location booked out 10ft truck that I had rented for 2 days and gave my a 9ft cargo van that they assured me would fit a one bedroom apartment. It did not. I was charged further moving expenses because of this inconvenience and was not offered and discount for my troubles.Laura B.

Not so much the locations fault- they were nice people - however last minute call from uhaul the night before my arranged local pick - you all changed it to approximately an hour + further away and with resulting problems at location put my start back 3 hours on moving day ..... very disappointed .guy K.

It said I could pick it all up with my phone. I, however, had to go into the store as there were no keys in the truck. The store had to call head office as they couldn't access my reservation through their computer etc. It took 35 minutes from my pick up time to actually get the keys to the truck. It was not a streamlined process and was not a good start to the day. Please look at fixing that issue, if I had movers waiting that would've been much more of an issue. I have also been overcharged as my receipt does not match the charge on my credit card. Im looking into that already, but not an overly positive interactions unfortunately.Terry S.

we were originally supposed to drop off on Erie St location, day of move, i got a call saying i had to drop off to the Home st entrance. Got to the Home st site and no one there. Finally got ahold of the person at the location and she told us she couldn't issue a refund because she didn't know about it. After 20 min of trying to find out what to do. Drove to Erie st location. Thankfully the lady there was amazing and very helpful. She gave us our refund. All together the UHaul experience was exhausting and just horrible. I dont think I would reccomend anyone to rent a uhaul, unless they are willing to go to Erie St in Stratford.TAMMYLYNN W.

friendly clerks, when I went to pickup the truck, the clerk was unable to take a payment online because when it tried to do that, the screen would go back to the beginning, it did this several times. She then called UHAUL for help and was advised to give a receipt and go ahead and give me a truck. This took almost 25 minutes, I was not impressed, however, the clerk did apoligize to me.Nadine W.

I ordered this uhaul a good month ago, ordered it with a furniture and appliance dolly, and never got either one because they didn't have them. I also was scheduled to pick it up at 4pm on Friday May 29th. I arrived at 3:50pm and didnt get it until 4:45pm... I asked about my $50 and was told I have to do it online. I was first told that a 26 ft truck would be available at my preferred location. Then 2 days before was informed that I'd have to book another location. I reserved an appliance dolley and 2 dozen blankets. Neither were available at the new location. I returned the truck prior to the 24 hr limit but waited in line at the gas station to be served. Then was charged for an additional day because the time stamp was later than 24 hr. Absolutely terrible experience overall. Will not recommend Uhaul to anyone.Robert H.

This location prioritizes their own gas and convenience store customers over UHaul customers, which really slowed down the return experience, scattering the attention of the (only) attendant, making them make mistakes on my return along the way. Not terrible by any means, but not great.Michael N.

The staff at the rental pick up location were fantastic! Unfortunately the U-haul check in and check out system are not user friendly. The U-haul check out screen makes it very difficult to check out with out adding shipping supplies. I decided to add them even though I didn't want them only to discover that the items were even available. I spent half an hour on the phone (mostly on hold) with U-haul only to be referred back to the U-Haul location. I tried to utilize the moving help service - the movers were a no-show and didn't even return my calls.Sandra-Jean S.

I had a 15 foot truck # DC 3185N AZ license AE06370-AZ from this location. The truck was dangerous to drive. Steering was very sloppy and extremely difficult to keep on the road. Always wandering and difficult to maintain in the lane. Poorly maintained equipment.John M.

I was attempting to do it all myself online which was next to impossible and the website is not user friendly. The woman at Esso was great, but I would've preferred the online option to actually work (especially because of the Covid-19 concerns currently). The website kicked me out twice when attempting to upload a photo of my drivers license then I had to sign in again with a code and kept getting error pages so I went inside. Still satisfied with my experience as it was my first time, just think the website/process needs some updating/eyes on it.Chelsea M.

the upper shelf of the 15 ft truck was dirty and the roof leaked and soaked some cartons. We had ordered a dolly, providing lots of time, but when we came to pick up the truck we were advised that there we no dollys available. It would have been helpful to know that ahead of time so that arrangements could have been made to obtain a dolly - to avoid the backstrain that ensued.Roy H.
