Reserved a 20' truck weeks in advance. I booked it, my husband was going to drive it. I provided his driver's license phone number ect. He had the app and went to pick up the truck the day of our exciting move into our first home and the app threw an error. He went into the store and the gas station attendant told him he probably had an unpaid bill or something like that. So he took another cab home to get mad at me I chatted with an agent, she couldn't tell me what the error was about, there is no unpaid bill, she said she cleared the error and we still had the reservation, I saved her lying transcript. He takes a third cab out there and it threw another error, this time the attendant called U-Haul for him and got him the truck. But at this point we were two and a half hours past schedule, missed our babysitter drop off and had left our movers waiting in the heat of the day. We recieved the truck with unfolded blankets, dirty floor and no dolly. I was charged for the dolly and there was a sign that said I would save a cleaning fee if I folded the blankets back and swept, but it's not like they made it clean for us! The steering was loose and the gas tank was at less than a quarter, so we had to waste our mileage on getting enough gas to make our trips and then fill it again before drop off. What a racket, we wasted well over the cost of the rental in everyone's wasted time and the money for the cabs. We will NEVER use a U-Haul again.

Philip SYour booking process is not good. When I select a time and location, you show lots of availability of whatever truck or trailer I need. Then when the confirmation call comes, I either have to go to a major center far away or substitute to a smaller truck or trailer. This happened the last 2 times I booked or attempted to book. Very frustrating from my perspective.
