The computer connection took awhile to check out the truck. It was very frustrating and I was late renting the truck.

ALAN PI went to rent a 26' truck, the Haul system was not allowing my transaction to happen. Tracy was trying so hard to rent me a truck. it took 30 mins because the haul system would work properly. I just needed the truck for a few hours and was driving under 10 miles. His original estimate was $61,00. He had to try to run my card 4 times. Brian and tracy both tried, they took my card several times. When I finally got tired of them trying I told them lets cancel and reschedule for next week. Then they said it worked. I took it based on the price and didn't have to return it for 24 hours. When I returned it they told me to just park it out front and they drop the key in the key box on the fence. I did that. Tuesday morning I woke up to 2 emails saying $82,00 and another for $275.00. I was not happy. I called them and they told me they could do anything to help me correct the invoice. They gave me a number for someone in Moreno Valley. That person told me someone would get back to.me about it. I called the back and disputed the charge. BAC cancelled my credit card just for. the 1 dispute. I use the card for all my business transactions. This put another fork in the road for me. I went to Sun City hardware again to see if they could correct it they told me I should have scanned the QR code on the key box. I had no idea to do that. This was the problem. The system didn't know I returned the truck and just charged me for way more Than I agreed too. I'm without a business card for my business and no one cares. This sucks. I won't recommend this drop off system to anyone. I will tell 9 other people of my bad experience.

Michael KThe U-Haul truck only had 1/8 of a tank of gas, which is not something I would expect from a company focused on customer service. Renting a truck to move is already stressful enough without having to stop for gas immediately in the middle of hauling a load. It felt very inconsiderate and inconvenient. The truck itself ran fine and did the job once we filled it up (although cosmetically not looking like its best W/ scratched and marks galore), which is why I’m giving 3 out of 5 stars. Overall, though, customer service standards just don’t seem to be what they used to be, and this is a good example of something that likely never would have happened before COVID.

MADELYN BI rented a trailer for in-town use from Menifee CA, but discovered after we loaded that it was better to take the load directly to Denver, CO. I called the place I rented from (Sun City Hardware, Menifee, CA) and they said to coordinate with Traffic Control and gave me the phone number. I called the Traffic Control folks at 951-485-2500, and was told, sure, they could arrange that for a $200 change fee and the regular $520 one-way fee from SoCal to Denver. So we set it up. They said I would pay the outstanding cost at the dropoff location in Denver. Three days later I'm dropping the trailer off in Denver. They told me that whatever the Traffic Control folks told me was wrong, and that I needed to pay $1134, well over what the Traffic Control folks quoted me, or I take the trailer back to SoCal at $30 per day. Nothing they could do about it. They called someone, possibly Traffic Control, who told them the same. The extra cost was from "an illegal droppoff" to a place not previously arranged, despite the arrangement I had made with Traffic Control three days before. The "illegal dropoff" charge aparently is two times the usual one-way rate. No one informed me of that until that time. Had I known this up front, I would not have taken that trailer and its load to Denver, but would have rented a different One-Way trailer and transferred the load to it before hauling it to Denver. Needless to say, being out an additional $300+ after this event leaves me now wanting to do no further business with your company. Any outfit where the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing, costing the customer hundereds of dollars, is not worth my time or money. The place I rented from was great. The folks at the dropoff site not particularly helpful. The folks at Traffic Control are really messed up, since they appear to have not entered the arrangement we made into the computer record so the folks at the dropoff site couldn't find it, and didn't believe I had made it. Thank you for your time.
