The location and personnel were fine. The overall experience from making the reservation to picking up the vehicle could not have been worse. That should be part of the rating. If a U-Haul executive had to go through the crap I had to go through they would resign and embarrassment.John F.
The clerk behind the counter had a customer getting a van so he contacted somebody on the phone to help set me up so I could be out the door sooner. Friendly competent service.David M.
Neither my reservation nor that of the guy behind me in line, were showing up in the records at the gas station. However, the man (ibthink store owner) was fabulous. He was professional and accommodating and did everything he could to please both customers. He turned around what could have been a very bad experience. I was supposed to pick up truck n Monticello, FL and had to go to Tallahassee, FL to pick up. So I had to arrange a ride to go get the truck when I was originally going to walk to get. I also ordered furniture pads and when I got to the location to pick up the truck they had no furniture pads. I had to give furniture away that I was going to wrap with furniture pads because they had none for me. Super disappointed on how it was handled and the heads up I got about picking up n a different location with no furniture pads.Todd L.

I was told to return it anywhere and handed a key. That's it. Had to go out to the lot and find the truck myself. Then when I returned the truck anywhere as I was told, there was a 20 fee for returning to the wrong location.Joy A.

I went to this location and it was inside a gas station. The guy that took my process was drunk and wasted. He gave me the wrong key. They told me I was getting a 20 foot and at the end the gave me a 15 foot. They charged me twice my credit card by mistake and I'm still waiting the refund. When I return the truck I clean all the truck and they still charge me 25 additional. It was a very bad experience and nobody cares.suzette H.

Truck was dirty. Didn't have hand truck or blankets that I ordered. Tow dolly was defective, 2 hours into my drive I had to call uhaul because my car was coming off the straps. When I picked up truck the person was not friendly at all and was on the gas station phone which was being touched and breathed on by everyone else. And this wasn't even the location originally picked. Uhaul should not be sending people to this location at all.Rick Y.

Absolutely awful experience; owner showed up 45 minutes after scheduled pick up time, the gas station cashier was clueless-- rightfully so, since he is a gas station attendant, not a uhaul employee-- and the trailer had a broken strap so I had to provide my own to make it work. He then refused to take the trailer on a return the next day and sent me to an alternate location across town, who was nice enough to wave the alternate location fee that the sonoco owner didn't tell me that I would incur. The trailer was also attached to a uhaul truck in the gas station parking lot so I had to move the uhaul myself so I could unhook the trailer in a tiny parking lot and hook it up to my truck. Will not be doing business with any uhaul location except for bo's furniture at 2636 Appalachee pkwy who provided excellent help and customer service upon return of the trailer.Colin M.

I wanted a receipt at drop off and received a hand written note with the date, time, and signature from the gas station attendant. I did receive an email later letting me know it was returned along with a $60 bill for being an hour late. It would have been better at the time I dropped off to be aware of the charges and to make sure nothing else was an issue.Ronald H.

They took my hole deposit. I went to two places to return truck they didn't have my deposit. Then they took my deposit said I had extra miles and gas. Lol when I got the truck with no gas then they made me pay for gas for the next person. I will never use uhaul againYvette H.

The person who assisted me when picking up my truck was courteous and efficient. The truck I had reserved was ready and waiting, and it was clean and in good working order.Lee K.
It's a gas station. It did not have proper staffing. If you inquired about a reservation, they gave you their phone to talk to a representative. There wasn't adequate parking. When I had a return problem, I had to wait 15 min on hold over the phone to resolve it.Jeremy P.

the problem is that the drop off location was a gas station, with the U-Haul representative not being available. The gas station attendance could not find the record of me having to return the truck there. I had to call another office to figure out where I need to drop it off, even then, no one was sure. After 15 minutes U-Haul representative showed up to ensure I had return the truck and gave me the confirmation. I would not want to drop off a major equipment without U-Haul personnel present there.TOURAJ T.
Inside of the truck was disgusting. Dog hair, cigarette ash, dog food spilled behind the seat. The truck itself had worn out front brake that squealed upon braking and an exhaust rattle that was very bad. The windshield wiper blades were shot and missing the rubber component that cleared the window when it rained, which it did on my drive, making half the window useless. Lastly, they did not have the rental mats at this location.Daniel P.

The worker wasn't able to check the truck in while I was there. Told me to just leave it and he would get to it later and I would receive an email. I'm thankful my husband took a picture of the mileage and gas because I was charges for fuel and I had way more left in the truck then when I rented it. We ensured the entire truck was clean inside, back and out and was changed a cleaning fee when there wasn't nothing to clean.Angele H.

Every time I make a U-Haul reservation I am met with some sort of obstacle. This time was no exception...when I arrived at the U-Haul site to pick up my truck, I was informed that they had rented my truck to someone else - literally minutes before I arrived. I was sent to another location to pick up a truck, at a convenience store where the person working there did not know the process and had to call someone on the phone and I had to complete the transaction over the phone. Additionally, I had reserved furniture blankets and a hand truck, both of which were not available at the 2nd location. I had to go back to the first location to obtain a hand-truck, but I was informed that they did not have any furniture blankets. Moving is a frustrating and exhausting process as it is without the added aggravation of a company that cannot follow-through with reservations.Margaret E.
When I got the uhaul there was only a quarter tank of gas in it and there were cups in it and garbage. The cab of the truck smelled like body odor. Never again! They also were to cheap to print me a copy of my contract in case I got pulled over from driving state to state. If police stopped me I couldn't present an email to the police.Patricia P.

There was no check in that u haul said would happen. He wanted to get the key with no receipt given. Never looked at truck, mileage or blankets to ensure they were in order. Told me I had to take pictures. I did. It was returned on Sunday at 4 pm. On Monday afternoon I got a call from Uhaul asking where I'd turned in the truck.
