There was a discrepancy about the blankets. I was told that this rental site doesn't rent blankets, but we must purchase them. Upon returning the truck without the blankets, I was told I had to return them. It was a big inconvenience as I had to drive back and forth, over 40 miles total.Donna B.

The photo of the front of the U-Haul did not match what the front of the actual U-Haul looked like. I updated it in the app when it asked for photo confirmation, but it just seemed a little sneaky to have a picture of a clean non-dented U-Haul when that was not the case. I'll still always use U-Haul though.Alina T.
The guys at the front counter were very unprofessional. They didn't review the roadside assistance, the insurance or even help me locate where the truck was in the lot. They just ran my credit card, handed me the key and said to look for an email. When I got the email to take pictures of the dents in the truck the timer had expired and I had no way of marking where the dents were. Also the truck and the car transporter weren't even at the same location! They told me about 24 hours before that they were at two different locations and one of them closed early and I wasn't able to pick it up until the next day. I had to leave work early to pick up. I'm very VERY upset with this. I'm never using Uhaul again.Devin B.

We had issues with the online reservation, and we aren't sure of where they started. When we arrived to pick up the van, there were two different reservations under two different names for our van, and there was insurance added to the total order which we initially declined online. The clerk couldn't remove the insurance or modify the order without a call to U-Haul, which took 30 minutes to correct.michael F.

First of all it is in an unorganized messy pawn shop. I had to swipe my credit card 3 times for the transaction to work because they did not have a chip reader. Then when trying to accept terms & conditions the touchpad to sign wouldn't work so we had to start the entire transaction over even though I did a mobile reservations and pickup!Samantha W.

I've rented from U-Hauls over the past 10 years. This is the first time I've ever gone to location where the owner was absolutely rude.. as a business owner myself I understand how important it is to make your customers feel valued. Needless to say I will not be patronize in this location ever againlester D.
I made a reservation 6 weeks in advance and this is the second time you have sent me to a junkyard that you should be ashamed to use as a dealer never mind that it took and extra 2 hours of my time in rush hour traffic to get there and Home The Trailer was in bad condition with worn safety chains and old style load boards and more time was wasted making suitable loops to secure my furniture on the left and front sides as only the right side had been updated Apparently you our not concerned about inconvenience for your costumers as long as get your moneyThomas M.
This guy had the most destroyed truck that had no brakes, the steering column was turnt sideways, and the truck wouldnt stay straight. Also the truck was painted with house paint it was so mangled and now he tried charging me $925 for an apparent â€œdent.â€ Needless to mention the truck was completely dented everywhere. I made the reservation a week in advance, when I arrived to pick it up at 7:30 I was told it was not available. A smaller trailer was available but it was a 45 minute drive away and the dealer would not open until 9:30. NOT A GOOD Experience ??????????Curtis V.

940 middle country road should not be aloud to rent uhaul. First the Manorville NY location I reserved the trailer in told me they don't want to be bothered with trailers. So the trailer wasn't there. After 2 hours of trying to find the trailer I reserved. I was able to locate my reserved trailer at this location. There are no employee at the location. I called before making the 30 minute trip between locations and was told they would be someone waiting. There was not! Just a phone number on the door & the trailer on the street. I was told to wait another 20 minute and somebody would come to me. While I waited I attached the trailer, that was sitting on the street to my truck to save time. When the very rude Indian Man arrived he was yelling, cursing and physically threatening me. Never identifying himself as the owner. He then violently removed the trailer from my vehicle, locked it in a yard and left. 30 minutes later after no one returned. I crossed the busy 8 lane highway to a store the man went in to find him helping people that arrived after me with a van rental. Finally I was able to get my reserved trailer and get on the road 3 and a half hours late. I will never rent a uhaul trailer in NY again.Sean D.

But he tells me to ring it back on 1/4 He never came out to the truck to inspect.I was running late.I told him to charge me another day.He say no just drop it off & place the key in the lock box.As I did 2.5 behind schedule.As I'm on the phone with him a alert on my cc comes through for 60.00.I asked why he stated it was a hold.LIES Then he calls me the next day & asks for my 3 digit security code , begging bill 105.00 the final bill was 283.00.Hes a scammer way over charged me.Im disputing these fake chargesRondaya H.

Yes hello customer service of U Haul my name's Laurie Catania I rented a truck from you I like to keep my name out of the complaint I didn't like the fact that I had a cross middle Country Road to go over to him to get the key for the van that I needed a to go there to get the key in I had a back to the u-haul shop and the both of our across the street from one another and middle Country Road is a very busy Road out here and plus the fact that appreciate it cuz my father was killed crossing the street I'm milk country road so I'm over to u-haul place, and over at his Swap Shop across the street tell me like it's okay to cross come on it's okay to cross maybe in his book but not in mine I lived out here all my life and the population traffic has gotten overwhelming. So I didn't like that I had across the street to go over him to him at his other business to do business for U Haul When U Haul across the street and then I had to cross back over from the Swap and Shop to go get the U-Haul Van which I didn't get out of his shop until quarter to ten and I booked it for 9 and I was there early before 9 and I got back at 12:30 from using it, and I don't know how much I was being charged as I know he put $113 in change on my card adding use a truck for the whole amount of hours so he was very poorly and explaining things in the Swap and Shop where had a stand that sell things in there, I don't think it's proper that he has a store across the street where he's supposed to be representing U Haul not the Swap and Shop could he has across the street from the U-Haul in Selden. By him doing that he poorly represented your company you don't make a client what will cause a busy street to get keys and then walk back over to get the item that they're supposed to be driving. Does he do this purposely so he can bring people into the Swap and Shop to make money so they see things they want to buy it improper. It was just unbelievable experience cuz here I am in its dirty filthy smelly grease oil Swap Shop when I should be in the clean environment in the U Haul that way about everything that I touch you lean against is getting black all over me. But I know like I said it was a poor representation of your company U Haul and I know you guys have been around since I think I've been born that's why I go to U Haul ball never go to that location again I didn't like that feeling of walking across a busy street I'm not in New York City that's why they have walked lights. I was given a truck that had less gas than what was stated on the paperwork. When I returned the vehicle the representative stated I had returned the vehicle with less gas than given. I told the representative that was impossible considering I used less than 10 miles and gpirchased one gallon of gas, as well as returned the vehicle with exactly the same amount I had left in. The rep showed me the paperwork on how it had more, but did not check the vehicle before giving it to me. So I was charged over 8 dollars on gas I never used. I would never use this location again, I would never recommend this location to anyone, and I plan to check the vehicle going forward myself before signing anything if the representative doesn't check the vehicle at all.JONATHAN R.
