I should have read the reviews first. Like them, we were double billed, they gave someone else our reservation and then billed us for it as well as the replacement vehicle. Plus, they professed that NO ONE spoke English so they couldn't help us get it straightened out. Finally someone in their family got on the line that spoke English. Later, we had to contact UHaul customer svc to be reimbursed for the fraudulent charge!!JOHN B.

First, when I went to pick up the equipment, there was no adapter for my 7 pin electrical outlet. They shouldn't have let me take the trailer without it being properly attached but they did let me drive it off the lot without the adapter. Second, I received a call them asking me to bring the trailer back before the time that I have rented it for, I told them I couldn't do that. Then another call came in asking me to do the same thing and I told them I couldn't and that I will actually be returning it later than I asked for. Thirdly, I received another call threatening me that if I return it late, they were going to charge me about $200 extra for returning it late. I didn't think that was correct and it lead me to reread the whole rental agreement again to make sure if they were correct. When I returned it, the clerk wanted to charge me around $68 and some change. I told him it was too much and didn't understand why. He claimed it was for taxes. I told him I rented the trailer for 3 days and it was $90, so why is it that an extra day is costing me more than 2 days of rental cost. He called customer support and I ended up paying $32 and some change extra. I think the location is not representing Uhaul correctly. Thank you, EbenEBENEZER OFOSU D.

The computer billed me for 2x rental charge and 2x insurance. I spend almost an hour at the rental counter trying to correct the bill. The bill is still not correct a day later. The personnel were very courteous and as helpful as they could be. However, I am reluctant to return because the Uhaul billing system does not let such a subsidiary correct obviously erroneous billing.Dan M.

Headlights were extremely low so it made it almost impossible to see. No one came out and checked the truck before leaving. They falsely overcharged me and took extra money from my account which in turn caused an overdraft and now I am also late on my other bill!DURRELLMICHAEL P.

Be more organized. I arrived 30 minutes before my scheduled pick-up time at 9am, but didn't leave until 10 am because of the confusing with my order that required a few calls to U-Haul customer service. I was late to meet the movers and in my hurry to leave I was given a sheet that had the gas tank previously marked at 3/4, but was less than 1/2. I wasn't the driver and didn't become aware until the driver informed me after we arrived at the loading place. Going back to the rental location wasn't an option. I had already lost time and money because the movers were paid by the hour and I was late. I am very thankful that the movers were professional and thorough.in their service. My movers discovered a tire in the back when they began loading. I assumed the tire was placed on the vehicle as a spare but when I dropped off the vehicle, I was informed the tire should'nt've been on the truck and that I had to remove it or be charged. Because I was an hour late due to the confusion at pick-up, I only expected the outside of the truck. I didn't look into the back of the truck. Thankfully, the ending of the day was much better than the beginning.Brenda O.

The guy said someone else reserved the van I needed and I told the guy I only needed it for two hours the most he said ok and when I brought it back no one was there the sign said will be back at 9 was there at 10 waited a whole hour and no one came. I didn't want to get charged the extra hours so I left the van there early at 1am and the keys in a drop box , mind you the store is supposed to be 24hrs and he never said anything about what time to bring it back. Don't think I'll be going to that location again. Annoyed.ANAMARRIE A.

Truck was dirty inside the cab and box. After getting a 20ft truck loaded with roughly 1500lbs tops the truck began to shake when going over 55MPH and pull to the right very badly. The biggest concern was the breaks picking and choosing when they would work as some times the brake pedal was to the floor while providing little resistance. I called roadside assistance 3 times only to be hung up on after over 50 minutes of holding. I then email the roadside assistance sept and began getting text not calls per my request. Once I did receive a call the service rep informed me that I would receive a text to schedule assistance in the morning which never came !!! I then called 2 more times in the morning only to never reach anyon.. I drove the truck 36 miles to a drop off station only to arrive late by 15 minutes due to having all these issues and they tried to charge me for an extra day and not even tell me!! I finally received a customer service rep who refunded my $59.00 overcharge and apologized.. never will use UHaul again ..Todd R.

Problem! I reserved the truck for oct 7 , but when I got there the gentleman at the shop said my reservation was for oct 6 and it has already cancelled. Even when I showed him my confirmation he said the system shows that it was for oct 6. It was strange and also stressful because I had everything ready for today and if I couldn't get that truck I may faced huge problem. I need explanation from your side how it happened. Ps. The gentleman at this location helped me and gave me another reservation and I took the truck.Saman M.
To my shock, there was NO truck available when I arrived at the pick-u location! I spoke to the U-Haul representative for an hour on the phone. His manager was not available to speak. There was no explanation for what happened to the truck, which I reserved 2 weeks in advance and confirmed twice, including the previous day. No replacement truck was available, except if I drove 40 miles out of state to West Virginia, which was completely impractical. Finally, U-Haul found a truck for me 5 HOURS later. By that time, my freight garage reservation expired, making the loading effort on the street very difficult. To make matters worse, my move was extended well into the evening, including the rush hour. In the end, I was exhausted and frustrated with U- Haul.william M.
