I was told the gas tank was full and it was so marked on my receipt. The gas gauge also showed that the truck was full. I was also told to fill it up before returning the vehicle. At the end of my seventeen (17) mile trip I stopped at a gas station to fill up the truck. Much to my surprise, the truck took 5.3 gallons. When I returned the vehicle I mentioned this to the shop attendant. He said there was nothing he could do about it and that I had to call customer service. I reminded him he was the one who told me the gas tank was full when I started the rental. At most the vehicle would have needed one gallon of fuel for my 17 mile trip; again, it took 5.3 gallons, an extra cost to me of about $16 since I paid $3,99 per gallon.John W.

I originally was supposed to pick my truck up near downtown Silver Spring. I was sent to Falls Church to pick up the truck since they we're supposed to have the truck and everything I needed. I went to pick up my truck and no one called to tell me that they did not have my moving pads or my furniture dolly. I was told I was given at least 12 blankets of the 24 I asked for. I only received 11 blankets when I counted them and they were dirty and smelled like wet dog. I then was sent to another U-Haul for the furniture dolly and additional pads. When I got to that location they informed me they don't typically rent supplies to people that get trucks from other Locations and I went there for no reason. However that location did have mercy on me and did rent me the dolly and blankets thankfully. Overall I was sent all over far out of my way which made me hours behind schedule. I feel like U-Haul overall has over the years declined in the customer service aspect. When calling customer service you're on hold for over 45 minutes each time. I was never compensated for the hundreds of extra dollars this caused because I was behind schedule. I feel like someone should have better coordinated the supplies that I requested two months prior. If my supplies were not available I should have been informed and sent to one location where I could've gotten everything. The whole experience a very frustrating. The vehicle was in great condition, the gentleman that checked us out and in was quick, professional, and polite. However the location was cramped for vehicles, the lot was dirty with trash, including a glass bottle I ran over with my personal vehicle. I have used uhaul many times in many locations and states and this location was not up to any kind of standard. If this had been my first experience with uhaul I would never use you again.Timothy T.

Overall it was a good experience, the van could be a bit more clean, there was some dust and lint. The person at the counter was a little distracted and wasn't clear with usual instructions etc. But all good, everyone is busy. Additionally, after adding miles, the bill seemed a bit too high. 2 hour U-Haul costed me close to $90 minus the gas. Getting a one day rental from airport might be cheaper, so perhaps I will not consider U-Haul for furniture pickup, only for big moves.Vinay V.

I ordered a mattress bag and I never got it. When I asked the clerk for it he said he didn't have it. I tried to call the 800# but it was a 30 min wait. The 5.99 wasn't worth waiting on hold. This location had the trucks so jammed in their parking lot-it was difficult to back out. The clerk did offer to back it out for me but I declined not realizing how tight it was. This was not my original pick up location. One day before my pickup i was notified my pickup location had been changed and i recieved 30 dollars off my reservation. Morning of pickup they changed my pickup location two times before 1100am. Luckily this location provided vehicle. Moving is stressful as it is to have last minute issues. Waited with 3 other customers for almost an hour just to pick up a van. Van had maintenance issues that I was told to ignore by uhaul attendant. Van did get the job I needed done done, but next time I'll go to a different location for much better service. No apology was given for the wait, and because pickup was scheduled late in the day at 5:30pm, other waiting patrons said their appointment times were 4:30pm, I chose not to go to another uhaul location.Laquetta H.

This location scammed us out of money!!! I did contactless pick up and drop off but they had us drop the key off to them personally. They tried to get us to pay an extra $50 in cash and was unsuccessful as they could not produce a reciept for said charges. We left with no paperwork or final cost as they said their systems where down. I received an email this morning stating they did a cash refund for the over payment which I never received. My pickup was scheduled for 10 AM. The person that handled U-haul did not show up until 10:30 AM and was carrying a subway sandwich bag. Plus, he didn't even apologize for making me wait and being so late. Obviously, I will not be using this location again even though it's a ten minute walk from my house. The location is really not good. The android app doesn't work, had so much trouble to just check in to take the U-haul. The representative at the site also could not check us in quick. Had so much issues to deliver the vehicle. Tried calling up the help line number with an hour wait on the line. But was lucky enough that after a long time, I was able to deliver the vehicle. First, I get to my original location where I wanted to pick up the truck instead a minute before arriving I find out I have to go to another location.
