1. Only allow online reservations to be fulfilled at U-Haul locations only not third party dealers. 2. If there is no way to do that then hold u-haul dealers responsible for customers full reservation deposit or return it back to customer. Private dealers should not be able to sell the reservation of a customer who has paid a deposit. This leaves the customer with no reservation or a smaller truck than reserved. 3. Make 26ft truck rental more than 20ft truck there is a huge difference. It's not right to charge a customer who reserved a 26ft truck for a month and not receive a 26ft truck after driving 8.5hrs and having a moving company standing by ready to go who I also reserved through U-Haul! 4. If you are unable to full fill reservation after deposit was placed then U-Haul should discount the reservation at 50% to customer since most customers that do one way reservations have nothing to do but eat all costs outside that reservation regarding there move. Ex. Lodging, movers, cost of driving to location 60-70 miles away from moving destination to retrieve a truck of smaller size than reserved. 5. Allow customers who have not received there reservation as promised to speak to a supervisor directly to possibly receive a stipend for motel and food until U-Haul reservation can be full filled.Josh G.

I was not presented with the proper checkout process of viewing the vehicle, nor was I given a contract or receipt prior to getting the uhaul or turning it in. My cargo got wet due to a leak in the cargo storage of the uhaul. Worse experience ever!!! The location was a crack house and a porn shop disguised as a gas station. I waited outside for a couple of hours for someone to show up and give me the keys. Even though I used the U-Haul app, I had to wait for someone who charged another $46 for showing up. It was the nastiest and sleepy place I've seen.MARK W.

There wasn't a place to park the truck when we returned it (the very small parking area was overflowing with other uhaul trucks and trailers that were poorly parked) and the person working at the store wasn't helpful in telling us where to park it. She didn't seem to know or care about anything related to the U-Haul portion of the business. We had to park it at one of the gas pumps so it wouldn't be on the highway in front of the store. Not sure why a uhaul rental location only has 2 parking places for 4 large trucks and a number of trailers and tow dollies.Alex M.

Honesty, the location is great, its a gas station loation, the lady working the desk is nice and polite and inviting and helpful. The Manager, Mr. B - not the best customer service skills. We asked him for the deposit back and he said we need to call the location we picked the truck up from - which we did, found out the refund is mailed to us. Very frustration, when we need the money back now.. You know how funds are low when moving. Also, myself and mom which is older, was asked by the Manager to get the dolly out of the truck and bring it in. He needed in the store, but didn't offer to help. Not a great experience.marilyn H.
Very bad experience with uhaul they lie and don't give deposit back after having the trailer for 2 days way before we had to return and they checked it in on the 4th day now saying we r late. Well never use this company after. BEWARE.Linda C.

They had no clue of me coming. Laptop was down. She had to call owner of the store to assist from home. Ended up taking my paperwork because she couldn't print her own. I had to back the truck out because she was not able to. Ended up waiting almost 40 minutes there when it was supposed to be quick because I did everything on line.John M.
Have the place that does the renting be a place that isn't a convenience store, ran by someone who doesn't speak English well, who keeps stopping your transaction to wait on other customers, who cannot leave the store to walk across the parking lot to inspect your vehicle and trailer so he makes you hook up all your equipment yourself and drive it over to him so he can take a photo of it with his cell phone, and then charge you for more days than you requested. I will never do business with Uhaul again.john H.

I almost didn't get my trailer that I had prepaid for. The manager at tiger mart told me that my Ram 3500 dually pick up was too heavy to pull a 6 X 12 trailer. My wife had to call and get uhaul to tell him that the pick up was adequate for the trailer. I had the pick up checked at a uhaul in Gladewater before I left that Friday. It would have been a wasted trip of almost 250 miles.Robert W.

Was not the location I had reserved for my pickup. Added extra miles to my trip. Extra charges!!! No military discount? Improve the phone app. or have live people that can handle the transaction in a timely manner. Over 45 minutes to process the app. to get the truck keys. The clerk at the store was really nice but had no clue, couldn't get the lock to open on the lock box once we got to that part of the app process. Parking access to the public street unacceptable. no room to maneuver large truck and the drive way caved in as I tried to leave the parking lot. Took another 5 minutes to get the truck out of the hole..... MY TIME!!!! I arrived a half hour early and was way after my time started to get going.Wayne B.

I checked my debit account and there are 6 charges for $1.85, then they charged my card 68.50 instead of 46.50, then there was a $162.00 deduction. I knew something was funny when he was going to town on the laptop keyboard when he was booking me. He never had me sign anything either. Took clerk at least half to process. I was the only customer at the store. Credit card machine did allow a transaction to buy gas for the van. Windshield wiper left a mess on the window including driver's side.Mark N.
Employee had no clue what he was doing. I was given no rental contract, the vehicle is not inspected before it went out, very little parking if you're going to leave a vehicle while you take the truck, very tight fit. Vehicle had a lot of damage. Fuse box cover was hanging off, it had been attempted to have been glued on. light covers from the back we're laying on the front seat. The skirt was totally destroyed in many places. The ramp was only 8 ft long making it extremely dangerous to use.BLAKE B.

My truck was rented to me by a man who was not on the premises. He did the entire rental process by phone to a clerk in a mini-mart. Also, the pick up location was not the one which I had requested and I had to drive my car 30 miles both ways to access the truck.james B.

I think the process for this location sucks. Although the cashier for this gas station was very nice, she didn't know anything about the U-Haul process. It was handled over the phone with the owner. I didn't receive any paperwork except for a print out with my confirmation number. I was not given any drop off instructions, so upon returning on Sunday at 9:00 when they were supposed to open, they were closed. I sat there 40 mins (while waiting on customer service through U-Haul). So customer service told me to put the key in the truck with the door unlocked.Monique W.

the store was not open , we called customer service and we told them that there was nobody there at the store to check us in , we were told to just leave the truck there along with the keys and the dolly we rented . this drop off location is still close .Hector T.
The day before our pickup a Uhaul representative confirmed our pickup time however, upon arriving at the location the employee working did not know how to process a rental. We had to wait 15-20 minutes until a remote employee could boot their computer up. The rental process was completed by this remote employee, which took longer than usual. Never received a copy of my contact with the charges from this location but had to call Uhaul directly to get the necessary information. He also never acknowledged that the rental was being returned to a different location so therefore there was a question about billing, again had to call Uhaul directly. We rent several Uhaul trucks a year but I will never rent from this location again.Scott M.

I had to buy oil to put in the truck so that it would not burn up. I had to call the 800 # to find out what I was being charged because the man there would not tell me what my daily rate was and kept saying, "It's in the contract" and I said you gave me a contract that I can't read because the ink was so low in the printer the copy came out very very faint...I was really scared giving this man my personal identity data and my credit card number. This man was the worst experience I ever had with UHaul and I have rented from UHaul for over 30 years. After I got away from this man everyone was really nice to me and I really needed that since my home flooded. The man at Tiger Mart really stressed me further in a very bad stressful flood situation. I would not let him damage UHaul's name and reputation any further. He had absolutely zero people skills and was very mean to me at a time when I needed it the least. The good people at UHaul's 800 number were really good to me and thank God for them.Bradley S.

I have rented U-hauls frequently and this location is nothing but a rip off. It is amazing that when you set the odometer to track your mileage for the use, extra miles are added by the manager and when you return the U-Haul with more gas in it than there was when you picked it up, the gas charge is padded too. I will never rent from this location again. The 15' U-Haul truck was about as clean as his store - not good at all.Bill L.

No one knew how to complete my pick up and the own did not want to help...I had to call u haul myself and have them help with my pick up...and when I went to drop off the u haul at 8am which shows their time on Sunday no one showed up until 8:50am ...the owner of this place doesn't care about the customer...I will never rent from u haul again if this is how business is run. 1st this location was my 3rd location I was told to pick up my trailer. When I got to the location to pick up the trailer, it was also a gas station/ convenience store, and the convenience store customers took priority over the Uhaul customers. During the checkout, every time a convenience store customer came up to the counter to buy beer, cigarette, candy etc, she would stop what she was doing with me and check them out. What should have been 5-10 minutes check for me, took 25-30 minutes. It was very frustrating to say the least. Though the lady at the counter was very friendly and nice.michael M.

We called up and ordered over phone.When we went to pick it up they did not have equipment we ordered.Over phone they told us to go to another location who had one.We rented the equipment from 8;00 pm to 8:00 pm next day.They closed at 5:00 pm.When we had to settle for a different piece of equipment the rear lights worked on my truck but not on the one we were pulling it with.We returned the equipment but still had to pay for it.How can you rent equipment you do not have? I rented the vehicle transport trailer at Tiger Mart in Sealy TX. The clerk failed to tell me the trailer was of insufficient size to haul the vehicle I needed to move. I drove more than 40 miles to pick up the vehicle, I loaded the vehicle on to the trailer and discovered it was too short to get the pick up off of the ramps. I called another location near by and they told me they (U Haul) did not have a trailer sufficient to haul said pick up. I told the clerk at the Tiger Mart where I rented the trailer what I was picking up and they did not tell me it would not load on to the trailer. When I went back to return the trailer, not having accomplished my task, I asked for my money back and the clerk just laughed and said no. He had no way of verifying my story. I still want my money back, I had to go borrow a trailer from a friend and damaged the truck while loading it. Instead of being finished and home by 6, I was after midnight getting home. U Haul probably does not deserve the reputation Tiger Mart is giving them but I can't in good conscience reccomend that kind of business to any one, and I will not. I feel like I was defrauded and taken advantage of.HAROLD H.

The lady who checked me in was very nice and personable. We were almost done when another lady came in and immediately laid into me for not backing the truck up into a "slot." There was no clear space, and I was NOT comfortable backing up the vehicle in this tight space with two other trucks and trailers near it. She then said well don't you have someone with you who can do it. Then she chewed out the poor lady who checked me in for not having me do it right. I wanted to crawl in a hole or quickly run away. My husband backed up the vehicle even though he had no shoes or shirt on because he was just picking me up, and we were blocks from home. I will NEVER return!!Wendy M.
I was charged an additional $131.80 from the original total stated I owed online when picking up my equipment. The owner of the location also did not do an inspection of the equipment with me, nor did they explain how to hook up the tow dolly (which my nephew had to hook up for me).
