It was crowded and the owner left around the time we told him we'd have the trailer back. However, the really bad part of the experience was due to Uhaul, not the rental location. We couldn't turn in the trailer on the mobile site because it was messed up. Couldn't get through when trying to call to get help. It was super frustratingâ€¦ finally someone on the chat was able to help us. With the trailer not having any theft protection devices, I was very worried someone would steal the trailer we'd just returned before anyone was able to confirm we had returned it.Chandra G.

There was no attendant, with an illegible note on the door. There was no parking or maneuvering space as there were upwards of 20 trucks and trailers parked in a small area, including in a mud and grass area surrounding the shop. We waited 45+mins for an attendant to show up, before starting the auto return process, during which time other customers showed up to inquire about the attendant/shop. After the entire check in process was completed, with truck and trailer parked, as directed, and the keys left in dropbox, the attendant arrived as we were leaving, waving us to come back. He was extremely rude and yelling about all the trucks parked everywhere, as if they had anything to do with us. He then opened the lock box and made us move the truck and tried to get my parter to move another truck as well as un-hitching the trailers and moving the trucks again. At that point, I advised him that we were, and had been for some time, done with our drop-off, with no further obligation to him or u-haul, and that from a legal/insurance standpoint no longer able to drive/work as his agent. When he replied that no, we weren't done, I decided to leave rather than continue any further discussion. Overall terrible experience.ROBERT S.
The uhaul was completely dirty. Ruined my mattress. Had to clean the back of the truck myself after I realized that it had gotten my mattress and other things all dirty andi didn't want to ruin anything else. Driving area had so much dog hair EVERYWHERE literally piles and it got all over us and everything else. Very bad experience.Jermaine R.

The inside of the building has a horrendous and offensive odor. The dealer does not have a printer but depends on sending everything to a client's cell phone so nothing can be read by the client. Everything is very small print which is impossible to read on a cell phone. I presented my current automobile insurance card, and the dealer said it is not required and did not even look at my insurance. When I arrived home after the rental and printed off the contract I found the Dealer added on something called CDW for $10.00 without telling me. When I asked about it later he said U-haul REQUIRES him to add that insurance for all cargo vans. I asked where in the advertisement or contract it says that. He told me to contact U-haul directly. I contacted U-haul via live computer chat and was informed the CDW insurance is NOT required by U-haul but an option customers can purchase. Corporate U-haul refunded me CDW $10.00 charge that was forced on me by trickery and lies by this dealer. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS LOCATION FOR RENTAL I will rent from U-haul again, but never from this location.WILLIAM B.

The trucks at this location are not clean. The trucks are terrible, filthy, smelly, sticky, and dirty, etc. The transmission was slipping. The seat and dashboard was sticky, cup holder had trash in it. The store smelled like a dead animal; it is also filthy, there is caked on dirt everywhere. The store attendant was advised of the issues with the truck but he said he did not own the truck, U-Haul owns it. The attendant said he did not have the ability to email or print me a receipt I had to take a picture of the computer as my receipt. I want a full refund.MARCUS H.

Horrible location, very small lot and too much equipment crammed on it. Very unsafe and almost impossible to pull out of lot into traffic. The vehicle and facility were great. No problems. My major frustrations were with the U-Haul app. I ran in to at least 3 defects on pick up (when promoted to do photos, it would only allow uploads and not taking pictures so I had to keep exiting app to use Android Camera and then upload image, some pages I had to enter data in from top to bottom so if out of order it would error, it would not accept my wife as alternate contact because she was a driver, I then added my daughter and it complained she was already on the contract)). I ran in to a critical one on return. Additionally I had about 10 minutes of MORE paperwork that should have been during initial reservation. It turned a convenience into frustration. When fueling before turn in I tried to see the mileage that I had submitted during check in to estimate how much fuel to put in. Nope, app only starts the return process. During return the app would NOT accept the odometer/fuel gauge image. I restarted app, granted all permissions within Android, even restarted phone. I then called the U-Haul customer assistance number, chose the menu to get to the "Issues returning/picking up when using the app" only for the recording to tell me there was a problem and it hung up one me. Twice. I then called the normal menu to try to talk to someone. While on hold, I tried logging in to the website using Chrome. It told me wrong password. I use password manager and explicitly had the correct password. It kept telling me invalid. I then told system to reset my password via email. No email sent.. I then use mobile number, that worked. I tried to reset my password to what I knew was right... Only to be told that I had used that password too recently. Very frustrating. Using new password, I was able to log in. I was able to complete the return, fairly well. Annoyingly, the return steps use a different estimate user interface. Check out is a dial type interface. Return is a bar graph type interface. Pick one people. The dial was more accurate/more fine tune control.Alan B.

They charged us for mileage we didn't put on the truck, and we made the mistake of not taking a before and after pictures of the mileage for proof we trusted them to do their job. We will never rent from them again.Devin M.
The truck didn't have air conditioning and required me to drive 30 minutes away to swap the truck out. The owner of this location also charged me $50 for a lock and 10 small boxes. He is charging double what u-haul has the boxes listed for online. I would think if uhaul sends me to a location pricing should match uhaul prices.Edward C.

I walked in and the man was on the phone so I waited. He pulled the phone from his face and nodded at me so I spoke. I told him I was there to drop off a Uhaul trailer and he said "ok yeah you're good just leave it outside." I waited for a moment because I assumed at the very least he would need my name, but he just waved me away. The whole thing was super shady.Kaitlyn W.
However the good service ended there. The truck AC did not work and it took you home more than a day to get someone out to look at it. In the meantime I could not load the truck but yet I had to pay my movers. The truck did not get ready until the following afternoon and I had to pay another mover overtime so my labor for moving alone in the load up process was double or triple what it should've been. Then I get to Abilene Texas with my load and the U-Haul movers that I had scheduled to unload me went to the wrong city and we're not able to unload me. I go to the local U-Haul facility with the problem and they told me that until they were able to get someone to unload me per my contract that I could keep the truck at no charge. To be on the safe side I called you Hall corporate I held for four hours. I finally got a person who understood the entire situation. She scheduled Abilene unloaders from U-Haul for the very first available date which was August 9. I was told that I would not have to pay for all the days that my household goods and furniture and electronics and my piano had to be held in the back of a 26 foot U-Haul because U-Haul could not find anyone to help me unload per my contract. Today when I turn the truck Uhaul tried to charge me an additional $842 for the truck. The location made me sign a promissory note saying that was part of my contract. If you haul persist I'm trying to make me pay what they told me I would not have to then I will see you at Hall not only for forgiveness of the debt that to replace the things that got ruined because I could not get my truck unloaded in a timely manner. A $2500 white sofa was totally ruined because the truck leaked and got rain stains and rust stains all over the white sofa. My piano was likely ruined as well; it is a 1908 upright grand worth $30,000. So I don't owe money to U-Haul U-Haul I was married to me. This was a nightmare of an experience and unless something happens to remediate this I will never do business with you all again and I will discourage everyone I know from doing business with you Hall. The employees of U-Haul and management positions made the decision to not charge me anything else for the truck and yet U-Haul is trying to do just that. I have been told within seven business days I will know something. Is the word of a U-Haul franchise owner and an executive in your administration not good enough?
