The location was fine. The issue was we booked with Maryville, IL location and uhaul double booked a reservation for the truck we needed. This meant having to pick up in Troy, IL. This added mileage to our trip that ultimately that cost comes out of my pocket. Additionally, we only ended up needing the truck for 11 miles but were to told that the truck was beginning on a full tank and to make sure to return it with a full tank. Less than a mile from the return location, I filled the tank to "full". It took 5 gallons and ended up costing me over $20.00. If I only went 11 miles how did I use 5 gallons of gas? Why was I responsible for filling the tank up when it obviously didn't start full. These two issues cost me much more money than it should have and it was because Maryville location double booked in the first place. No fault of the costumer. So, no I would not recommend Uhaul. The worker that day was a great guy, none of that was his fault. HOwever,when we mentioned these two issues costing us more money, he offered zero condolences/options to make it right. I dropped my truck off a day early. I had received text messages that they had customers in need of the specific truck I had. The woman working the location when I dropped it off around 9am was walking out to check in the truck as I left. However, I still received texts and phone calls the next day (when the equipment was due back) asking me to confirm when I would be returning it. I told them I dropped off the equipment the day before and what time. They had to verify with the location that I had indeed returned it. Again, this is poor customer service because if it was never officially checked in I could have been charged late fees or penalties because the U-Haul employee failed to do their job.

JON GThe U-Haul after hours app is Horrible. I had to try 3 times before it would recognize my name and account number. Then I had to fill out the form twice to do the return. The option to "Retry" deleted all the photos and they had to be retaken. I wasted about an hour trying to return the truck. Not Cool.

CAROLYN WFor the app. Needs to be redone. Cannot see all required documentation until you log in at the location. You cannot see everything you need until you are already at the location. How on earth are you going to verify or employment at 5:30 am on a Saturday? And call a friend at the same time to verify our identify. This needs to be done much earlier. We were delayed because of this and it cut into time we had booked for our movers. For the return, the app had us take pictures then hit “finish” then pay and THEN it wanted more pictures. I had already put the key in the drop box. I could not take a picture of the inside. The order is all messed up. Do not put finish and pay BEFORE more pictures are required. Totally screwed up system.
