Trailer showed up an hour late to my reservation, missed my ferry because of it and then it ended up being $20 more than it said on the website

NOLAN DTom, was absolutely amazing to deal with, he went above and beyond to help me during a difficult time in my life, if it had not been for Tom, I would t have been able to deal with with my mothers estate and moving her items out, however the first person I had to deal with that changed my booking, needs to be coached and or terminated. He made this experience harder than it had to be, if had spent 5 more minutes with me and found the truck I needed, it would have made everything better and not the absolute nightmare, financially it ended up being. But kudos to Tom for being a stand up guy!!

DENNIS KWe pulled in with the trailer to the designated address and it was a dead end road. There was a man outside on the phone, I couldn’t tell if he worked there or not. I kept trying to catch his eye but he didn’t acknowledge me. I walked all the way past him in to the building just as my boyfriend exited our truck. He then (still on the phone) immediately addressed my boyfriend and asked if we were dropping off. He asked us to take the trailer to a different location around the corner, stating we must know where it was offhand. Luckily we did see it as we drove in from that way, but we are not from the area and did not know where the “old train station” was that he referenced. I then commented on a toolbox in the shop and he replied but again only addressed my boyfriend. So we then had to back the trailer all the way down the dead end road and go drop off in this other parking lot. Luckily my partner is skilled with a trailer, and I got out and helped stopped traffic so he could get turned around. The other lot is back in angle parking. When we got to the other lot I thought someone would come over but nobody did so we drove back to the shop again and he asked for my name then processed the drop off. Did not like that the address was not the true drop off point, that nobody reviewed the trailer for damage with us, and the lack of instruction.
Kaitlyn Njust stay away from talking to anybody on drop off locations etc. just take it any location and they will deal with everything.
GEOFFREY SI never returned at this location, but it wouldn’t let me bypass this without filling in this information. I did have to call the guy at this location to get the newest invoice cancelled because I returned this trailer to performance on the 17th. The gentleman I spoke to here got the issue fixed for me so yes, I would recommend this location.

MICHAEL CIgnition worn out in van. Key stuck in. Shifter won't stay in park without playing with it. Drivers door lock seized almost got stuck on ferry. Very poor maintenance. Yes im a mechanic

Jason BI give 5 stars to Don at the 865 8th St Courtenay, BC location and the truck I rented. I give zero stars to the app I have downloaded to my phone I was directed to the wrong location at 3170B Cliffe Ave, Courtenay, BC. The app stalled when I tried to enter my new address. I called the toll free number and the person tried to help but when it came to opening the lock box, the padlock did not work. She then called Don who called me and asked me to come to his location. He helped me even though it was his day off on a Sunday. We discovered the truck I had reserved was at his location and he had the reservation information. He also told me that the padlock code I was given was not valid for any of his lockboxes. If I had not been able to rent a truck, it would have been seriously convenient. So, I give a shout out to Don. Will I recommend his location to a friend? Yes, with the proviso that your app is crap and that they should deal with real people when the office is open.

WARREN AWe had a small problem with the wifi in the area. We called the manager and he was there in about 10 minutes. All was worked out and he sent us on our way. Special thanks to him for going the extra mile.
RICHARD HIt was difficult to find. We ended up at the wrong location and would've had difficulty finding it if the manager didn't just happen to show up to move some trucks around. We were given a truck with the drivers side headlight out and NO high beam on either side! Since this was a one way rental to Victoria, after hrs, it should have been known we would need lights! This is a safety issue and we could've been fined for it if we were stopped!!!

TREVOR Ei was directed to drop unit off at one location that was closed. i called and was directed to this location that was supposed to be open. i arrived before 3 oclock on saturday and this location was closed. i was directed to drop the trailer at this location and take a picture of it delivered. i did all that and was charged $20 dollars for late delivery when, in fact, i delivered the unit ahead of schedule. people on phone were great and i feel the late fee was unjust.
GERALD MPicked up trailer a day early (at no extra charge ) due to the holiday. Staff at the site was very friendly. Hooked up trailer. Would definitely use these guys again. Only problem I have is U-haul doesn't supply a spare tire for the trailer, which is okay if you travel where there is cell coverage. Should have an option for paying extra for the use of a spare, with liability coverage.
ALLAN TClean the inside of the vehicle. Spilt drinks, dog hair, enough sun flower seeds to get through a baseball game on the floor along with dog food. Clean the outside bugs off once a year. 10 minutes with a pressure washer would make a big difference. This was a substitute truck with over 80,000 miles. The poor thing was filthy. Yes, I cleaned it. Inside and out. I pulled the one piece floor mat, vacuumed and washed the entire inside. It was filthy. Not suitable to be rented in my opinion. The rear was not clean and the renter blew it out while I waited. When we pulled the ramp out it was covered in what looked like hay. We cleaned it off. The right front tire was badly worn and barely legal. None of the tires on this truck will pass inspection for the BC winter tire regulations. The steering wheel was never centered when the alignment was done and is 30° to 40° to the left. To my surprise the truck went down the road straight. When turning hard left or right there is front end clunking, this unit needs a ball joint and linkage inspection. On the positive side it ran well and the transmission seemed good. The oil was reasonably clean and in the safe zone. The coolant color is normal. The oil pressure was normal and there was no over heating. The windshield wiper blades were marginal so I brought along a new set of quality blades incase we ran into rain and need to see better. I did not change the wipers blades. This truck was quieter than the newer truck we had in July. The newer truck had better seats than this old girl.

SCOTT HWaited in line for 45 minutes to get the truck - put us way behind schedule. This location was fine - friendly helpul staff, etc - it was Uhaul itself calling me every hour to change our reservation - bigger truck - difficult with a ferry reservation, different pickup location - different drop off location, it was a nightmare and made the move triple stressful. Will not rent a truck from Uhaul again if i can help it.

LINDA LThe truck cab was reasonable, the box was a filthy and not inspected. I had to sweep it before use and I accumulate a couple cups of sand and dirt, including the loading ramp. Windshield was a bug fest of bug debris. Not impressed and we have one more rental to complete this move.

Terri MDid self drop off of car hauler and found location convenient and easy to find. Did not have any interaction with staff so can’t comment on that.
LANCE BI must have failed to check the odometer before I left. I was charged for traveling 20 miles when I tracked only 17 kilometers of travel on my phone. Wasn't too happy about that.
