Michael FWhile the truck was clean, it was very old. Steering wheel is in bad condition and seats had rips.
Donald RJessica Johnson and the person who inspected the equipment were terrible. My receipt says a different time than the time I arrived. Jessica is reimbursing me for that, however they claimed I back into something and damaged the vehicle. This is a bogus claim because I was very careful with truck and returned it just as it was.

DEIDRA PBeing told by the manager that my reservation is not a guarantee of a truck is what really made me feel like my business wasn’t appreciated or a concern of yours. No one wants to start a move at 330 or 5 pm. Not having a truck when I reserved it was beyond unacceptable, but it was taken as if it were just another day to you people. Not sure how you do business, but I’ll never ever use your company again.

Gary FI had a 7am reservation set up for pickup made weeks in advance. The location management failed to put a key in one of the lock boxes so I was unable to claim a vehicle in a timely manner. This forced me to reschedule van reservation for 5 hours later after driving an extra 50 miles round trip to retrieve my vehicle. The employee who finally checked out the vehicle around 12:30pm was extremely rude and threatening with trying to force the insurance on me. He raised his voice very loud and said I would be responsible for $55000 in damages. So loud that 5 other people in line could hear. Scare tactics and intimidation should not be allowed to be used by a rental car service. I have used this location in the past, but I have never been treated this poorly with customer service of a rental agency. U-haul has lost my business for the future and I will be making my complaints about this location public on social media.

Riyad AI feel like the employees at the Willow Bend location are boarder line rude and need to be replaced with people who are respectful of the customers that use the services of U-Haul. The truck I reserved for a 9AM pick up was parked literally at the farthest reaches of the back lot rather than having been pulled up front and made ready for pick up, the cargo area was littered with leaves, the fuel tank was almost empty, the driver side door weather stripping seal was falling off the door frame ( when I returned the truck the employee accused me of being responsible for tearing it loose ) , all in all it was a negative customer experience for me. I have used this location in the past and it was good on my previous visits.
Robert MI have gone in this office for something as simple information and the attitude, speech words and tone from the employees reflect those of someone who's being inconvienced when they have to serve someone. Never a " Hi, Welcome to U-Haul. How may I help you today?" or Welcome to U-Haul. I'll be with you in just a moment." I dropped of a 1 way trailer and the guy didn't really tell me where to take the trailer.. just sort of pointed. No asking how the trailer worked out for me. He was using a device to complete the transaction but didn't tell me that so I felt like he was just on his phone. The people here simply don't want to, (or know how to) be friendly. It's too bad b/c they miss out on good conversation, the feeling of everyone at the company caring about the customer experience and knowing they did their best. Never got a receipt so I don't know what the final total is. I'm in healthcare and if I treated people like this any employer would take care of the problem quickly. U-haul should figure out what they expect from their employees and do the secrete shopper thing and see foro yourself. I would recommend this location but it would come with a warning to be prepared. It was clean but not inviting. you should separate these two questions.

BHEEMESHWAR SThis is my favorite location of many in the area, but this time the person assisting me with paperwork (that I had done finished completely on-line) when I picked up was very inefficient (although friendly). And when I returned there was no one to be seen at the return lane or inside. Minutes later one person appeared but I still had to wait a long time before they could come outside.

Emily PI reserved a 15' truck on Wednesday, the 13th of March and I was quoted with the price of $19.95 per day. When I went to oick it up yesterday, Friday, March 15, they couldn't find the key. After about 20 minutes, my rep decided he would give me a 17' truck for the same price. My total charge was almost $75!! I only went a total of 6 miles. I feel like I was overcharged. My rep said that the truck rental was $29.95. Even after that, I still do not understand why I paid almost $75.

It takes that kind of person to have a very great experience.

The representative at the location told me that since the truck and van were "precious" items, I needed an in state license to reserve them. I have proof of residency so I felt like that should've sufficed. I ended up having to pay for a more expensive rental, with more expensive mileage, and a more expensive insurance. It made it seem like I was untrustworthy. I felt like she could've been more understanding.
JaVon Athe vehicle given to me is not a good one. it is vibrating a lot, on road it is shaking, and shock observers are very bad it seems. I drove a bigger vehicle earlier picked from the same location that was good. also, it will be nice if someone picks and keep the vehicle near to the door.

Luis RI reserved a van + 2 dollies a month in advance in this Plano location. Dollies weren't available and notification was NOT provided. Drove 7 miles to another store to pick up them up and 7 miles to return it, plus 1 hour wasted that were charged to my bill. .I asked this to be fix as a credit but they said we can't. Is not the $21 + time, is the disdain of employees after a month old reservation.

marcus AThe appliance dolly did not work ... the belt tightening handle would not hold resulting in a loose strap that I held by hand. Had it not been after hours, I would have taken back to exchange for one that worked. I feel I should be refunded for the appliance dolly. I would go back and ask for a refund, but it's not worth $10 to have to deal with the lady behind the counter who was not at all friendly. I'll just assume that it was her having a bad day as we all have them.

DALE CU-Haul needs to keep their vehicles in good condition. The vehicle I rented had a loud engine noise and the entire vehicle was wobbly on the road.
Moses PNothing, from my end, could be done to make the service, equipment, and process better. I rented a trailer for a week, and the price, quality/condition of the equipment, and the personnel at the location couldn’t have been better. A seamless operation from start to conclusion.
Chris DUpon returning my rented truck and trailer, which performed very well, I noticed that my rental contract had the wrong mileage (meaning the mileage on the vehicle at time of rental). The contract showed 1,787 but the truck had 1,818 on the odometer when I picked it up in the morning. I remembered this because it was an interesting number (1818). When sharing this with the attendant, Dalton, upon returning the vehicle and communicating that this would result in me being charged for 31 additional miles that I had not driven, Dalton just laughed. So, my very good experience immediately became a very bad experience. I even brought the truck back with extra fuel. I’m quite disappointed with how I was treated / communicated to at time of vehicle return. I would like to hear from U-Haul on this topic.

The straps from the driver side front wheel came off and I had to wait for more than an hour in the night to get roadside assistance from UHaul. The tone of customer service was also along the lines of "You did this" when the car had been loaded by UHaul location itself, for which I had paid.

Ralph SI was unable to pickup my equipment on time during my “after hours self pickup” because the wrong size truck was assigned to me. Had to call support to get help which caused delays.
Matthew FI reserved the van for before hours pick-up but no keys were left for me. The reason was they didn't have a truck to assign. So how come a truck was available prior to opening on Sunday. The truck had 2 engine lights on & was difficult to start. The store associate did make the experience a positive one, when he came to get my from my car prior to opening & assign a truck.

Geva AUpon pickup of our 10' Truck, we found a used condom in the bed of the truck. It was covered in blood and other bodily fluids. Since we had no access to proper cleaning supplies, we removed it as best as possible, but was forced to use this unhygienic bed to load my personal belongings into. I'm still cleaning my furniture after unloading it. Disgusting.

Staff was super friendly and the facility/area was always clean.

Then after moving in, I was charged for the next 8 months for two small units and it wasn’t negotiable. I was never shown how to card swipe in and out to unlock my unit so the alarm wouldn’t go off. I finally went back to the office an asked what the difference in the two different card swipers were and figured it out. Lastly, one of my units wouldn’t slide to close and lock without 15 minutes of trying different things. Again, nice facility and mostly helpful staff, but there were a few areas that could use attention.

Because I could not check-in online, I could not get instructions to drop the truck off after hours. It should not be too hard to put up a sign about how to drop off a truck after hours. I recommend you take down your website until it works or make it much simpler for the simple-minded people like myself.

Like REEKED! The odor hits you as soon as the sliding doors open and is so terribly strong that my belongings now reek. I'm now forced to dry clean the majority of my clothing hoping the odor will dissipate.

JOHN M | Overall ExperienceThe African American girl can be more friendly and a little bit more helpful but the other two staff was EXCELLENT KEN I believe was his name he was the general manager and the young girl who helped with our trailer was EXCELLENT but the other girl she need a little more training to go on her attitude and how to properly assist customers, we walked in she was dull and boring with a slight attitude barely helped us, gave us our answer on our RSVP and that was didn’t try to help us find a different location she didn’t do anything she was horrible! People with attitudes like hers will make someone not want to come back but luckily the other two was there and they did a great job at it! I’m (black as well btw) I can’t remember her name so that’s why I said African American girl
