Not about location but rental in general. Drove a direct path from pickup to drop off, but routed to avoid toll-roads. STILL was charged for excess mileage. No clue how U-Haul calculates allowed mileage, but it clearly is flawed...

Checkout took a few extra minutes due to a computer issue but otherwise no issues. Truck was in good shape and return was very easy.

U-Haul is the most disgusting Service ever they literally loot you by giving you a reservation that is at least 10 miles away from the location you choose. I had a closer location and after reaching there they said they don’t have the U-Haul. And that I have to travel for an hour and over 15 miles to a different location to get it.

Make sure whatever the personnel in the counter put in the paperwork what they say. I was told I could have the rental for 24 hours starting at 1:30pm; at approximately 9 I received a phone call from the rental company stating I needed to return the rental by 8:15am. The representative also threatened me stating that if I did not return the van immediately he was going to “report the van as stolen” and report me to the police. I understand is busy season but the threats were not necessary.

Employees on their phone while there’s a line. The cashier that was actually helping people told me to go to the guy sitting down on his phone and it was a solid 5 minutes before he looked up. One of the other employees was screaming and rude about little small things when I picked up my rental and dropped it off. I’ve never been in a more chaotic business in my life. Like truly a miserable experience

the location was closed and an employee waiting for a ride home took the truck and the keys and helped me with all (I was struggling because of the tow dolly). Thank you for your excellent staff who was working to close on Friday, August 28. he was lovely, kind, and super helpful

Trying to use the app to pick up the truck myself was a total fail. So we waited until the store opened and did an in-person pick up. The man who helped us was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We were glad that we skipped the app and used his assistance. THE TRIP PLANNER IN THE APP IS NOT HELPFUL. There are many roads that commercial trucks cannot go on. Since you enter the information about which truck you are driving, you would think that the route is mapped using the roads that the truck is allowed on, but it is not. Several times, the app tried to lead us on roads and highways we clearly were not supposed to be on. (ie "NO TRUCKS") It almost seemed like UHaul wanted us to get in an accident or get a ticket. Do your research before driving a truck, especially in major cities. Thankfully, I had downloaded a trucker mapping app and it routed us onto the appropriate roadways.

Your corporate policy stinks. The vechile we were using to tow the trailer had issues. I offered to take the trailer to a nearby location because I was 200 plus miles away. Corporate decline and said Id be charged a fee for which they wouldn't give me a price. I had to borrow another vechile to return the trailer. Zero compassion for what was happening. Totally and completely disappointed with UHaul. Our last few interactions definately have highlighted the corporate demise when it come to customer service. None of any of this was caused by the actual location although the person I did speak with at the location was clearly new and was trying to be helpful.

Initial pickup was early and only one person working, excessive wait to check in. The truck stuck of cigarettes. Drop off was confusing, there was no space and any signage was blocked by trucks. Drop off staff(young female) was very rude with her comments. Manager was nice. I was not able to do a drop off with confirmation as I was told the computers were down. I was informed I’d receive an email confirming drop off with refund/charges and as of day 2 have not.

It’s confusing to have two different U-Haul locations on the same street (Eastern Ave), you need to do a better job of explaining this and making people aware in advance. We ended up at the wrong location and it was very difficult to get out of there with a trailer attached.

The check in process was extremely slow and confusing. We signed up for the mobile check-in option but the app was so slow that we had to go inside to check in. Once at the counter, their computer system was so slow that it took them nearly 10 minutes to check us in and give us the keys. We were then sent a link to upload pictures of the current state of the vehicle and once again the app was so slow that we had wasted 20 minutes before giving up and taking our own pictures. After an only 3 hour rental of a 10 foot truck that we drove for 10 miles, I was charged over $60. I will not be using this service again. I was very unimpressed.

The guys I met during pick up and drop off are both good. Friendly and did what they should do. One thing I would like to have is "self-check out" for trailers during off-business-hour. It may already exist for other location, but the guy mentioned it's not available for trailers. It's very nice if I can pick it up during off business hours even you charge extra money.

Worst experience ever. Do not trust the truck you order will be available. We are just north of metropolitan Philadelphia and reserved a 15’ truck with pick up 15 minutes away in Glenside but the truck was not there. We were diverted to four other locations! It took hours and multiple calls, time and anxiety we didn’t have or need for a move. We were diverted to Feasterville, then to North Phila for a strictly “Mobile only Pick Up”. The 15’ truck was never checked-in, and Phila facility was closed for vacation! Next diversion was 1 ½ distance to NJ when a supervisor finally got involved! We got the 15’ truck in Souderton, 40 min away. We pre-ordered Helping Hands movers to unload in Boston. Three calls prior with time set for 10AM. But on moving day they kept pushing the time back and we finally canceled them when they proposed 11:30AM. How unprofessional! This was the worse experience ever.

Confirm the drop off location with the customer on pickup. They randomly assigned me a drop off point and was told on the phone there’s a charge to change it. Stop hiding fees everywhere, it’s exhausting on an already overwhelming moving day.

Did not drop off here. Dropped off in Springfield vt and they did not have our reservation and we had to provide proof. Overall not a great experience with uhaul this time. Very disorganized

With the rush of Greater Boston move-in during the week of September 1st, this location and staff really provided as much of a helpful and stress-handling environment as possible. Glad I rented here.
