Be clear about expectations at a uhaul site - take pic of everything to prove conditions. Staff was nice but I didn’t realize I had to figure everything out on my own. Basically I give a card for payment and I get a key. Do you really need a person? Maybe you automate the whole process since no person really interacts with customers

I notified the attendant when I returned the truck and he did t offer any kind of discount or partial refund which, I think, would be the appropriate thing to do.

Michael HMy credit card was hit 3×3 different charges for one less than 24 hour service. The confusion came when I told the company that I would be using it just a little bit longer than I thought. I was planning on just a few hours that day, the employees couldn’t explain why there were three different charges hitting my card, except to say that it’s part of their process. I wish I would’ve been told that, I understand the rental fee and insurance charges along with the Dolly charge of 799 the entire process and confusion was very annoying .

Eugene BI had originally made my reservation for a different location in Oxnard but they told me last minute that they didn't have the van I needed to rent. The Ventura location was very accommodating and the guys there were very nice and welcoming.

doug wI called zip 93010 to verify a car carrier was available and was quoted $198. one way to 89061 but I had to confirm with the seller the day to pick up the auto was ok. When the seller confirmed the date & time and I called to reserve the office was closed. I called the office Monday morning, spoke to a different employee who said they had carriers but not for one way.the computers were down & couldn't rent anything until the computers were up . We found the next closest office. Called to confirm availability. When the computer was on line we went to pick it up. Now the price was $259 + insurance and tax, Total over $300 for a Five Hour rental. A friend rented a car carrier in the Midwest to bring an auto and he paid $40 a day for a five day rental was $200. + insurance & tax. Does it sound like I was over charged?

Bernard LComments are based solely on last visit. The van interior was not clean and had items from the previous renter that we ended up discarding. Check out could have been better as the associate helping us was less knowledgeable then we accustomed to and was not in anyway what we would call customer oriented. Drop off was fine, no problem however they were definitely understaffed.
Robert Fthis rating isnt so much on the location where i picked up the vehicle but more so on the entire pick-up process. i made a reservation for a 20' truck. spoke to the gentlement at the location and he said the truck was there, that i could pick it up earlier via mobile but U-Haul rep would call me the night before the pick up. when they called, they told me there was no 20' trucks available, the only thing they had was a 15' truck in Ventura, 65 miles away from me. This was a HUGE inconvenience and threw a wrench in our moving plans. I had to spend $100 on an uber to get to the location. Whats the point in making a reservation if it's not guaranteed.

Marcelo CP/U was totally smooth - very accommodating. Trailer ramp right side pin was a bit fussy but overall fine. Not a fan of the steel cable safety “chains” and got poked by one disconnecting at return.

John MI said yes about equipment is clean and well maintained but it was just ok, pretty beat up - but it worked fine. Service was just ok. One guy was super nice, but then he went to work on a car, and the other guy who seemed older than the first was blah. Not mean but was not at all nice. Seemed like he hated his job. Will I rent from here again? If I have to, but I would rather buy my own trailer than rent one again. hope that helps.

Eric CThere was an appliance dolly and extra blankets in the back of the van that I did not order. I informed the attendant and he removed them. I did not check the milage on the van until I left the UHaul facility - there were 30-extra miles on the odometer. It was my bad for not checking, but it was a bummer that I had to pay for the extra mileage. I returned the van at 5:45 and the receipt said that I returned it at 6:45, not a big deal, but I did not go over my allotted time. I have rented from this location and will continue to do so, but I will do a more thorough check before I leave the facility.
