There was a major price discrepancy for a change in drop off to a closer location- like, double what I was quoted. Being in the midst of a move I had no alternative at all but to pay the difference. When I politely voiced my despair about this to the agent at the counter, he seemed irritated that I was seriously bummed out, which made me feel even worse.Courtney D.

Returned the rental before 9pm deadline and because we didnt have a smart phone we couldn't send photos of the vehicle or check in on the website using the location services. I called, emailed, and sent a message via chat to ask them to verify the vehicle was returned on time and explain the barrier but no one got back to me and I was still charged the $20 late fee. It's not right to have unnecessary barriers to return your rentals like that. Some people don't have smart phones so to penalize us for that and not return my messages is just poor business practices.PAUL K.

I couldn't use my phone to pick up my truck. No cell reception. Fortunately an agent was still working and manually checked me out. I suggest you post signage and the directions to log into the U-Haul WiFi on site before attempting to use the on-line system.MARK C.

I will do my absolute best to never use this company again. I found out the day of my move that the 26' truck I had reserved was actually not available and nobody was even going to tell me. I guess somebody called after hours and said they were keeping the truck for longer and I just cannot believe this is something you can do, from the people I spoke to it sounds like this happens all the time! Moving is stressful enough as it is and uhaul made it 10x worse. The people working at both locations were very nice but my god figure your shit out uhaul.LAUREL L.

The motorcycle trailer was not made for motorcycles the ramp is too short Nearly damaged my new motorcycle because the ramp would not let the motorcycle go up without dragging the bottom of the motorcycle I will never order the motorcycle trailer again it is not made for large motorcyclesGARY E.
I had ordered a 8x5 enclosed trailer and it was not returned so I was given an open trailer. I reserved the the enclosed trailer because I had boxes filled with papers, plants and other items I didn't want to get ruined with wind. When I arrived they told me the trailer I had reserved wasn't returned (not their fault I understand) but when I asked about packing tape, tiedowns, or a tarp to make up for the uncovered trailer, the manager said he was not authorized to provide anything to us at no cost and we would have to pay for those items if we wanted them. So the corporate policy needs to be reviewed so that local offices can provide customer service options when what was reserved was not available.Allyson S.

There was a 2x4 missing from one container leaving exposed nails/staples that almost cut my husbands hand when we were trying to open the container. The lock portion of the containers were broken and applied to the container unevenly.Michele G.

Extra fuel charge is wrong. Filled tank with 2.5 gallons after traveling 28miles. Should not have been charged for 3gallons of fuel does the truck get 5miles/gallon? I doubt it.Mike G.

Well I've booked for Hollister a truck but you guys found me one in Monterey but you would not give me some free miles which would've been appreciative because I had to drive all the way to Hollister from Monterey and then back to Hall Monterey to drop it off which I didn't get no extra miles which I would appreciate that next time for the mileage is Discrepancy you charge me extra miles when I should've got a truck in Hollister so that's my complaint everything else was fine so you guys got to do some about the mileage thank you have a good dayEddie E.

U-Haul needs to SERIOUSLY improve their online service. If a customer RESERVES equipment for a specific day at a certain location, it needs to be there when that day arrives. I made a RESERVATION and was told a couple of days before that the truck I needs was NOT available. The WHOLE POINT of making a reservation is to lock in materials and equipment. Luckily, something was worked out, but it nearly resulted in a disaster!!Kenneth P.

I am a Uhaul stock holder after this amazing experience! I have been a manager of large wellness centers for 10 years and know how hard it is to hire a great team. This team you have here, is the best group I've ever seen in any professional setting. Bonus points for the skinny Caucasian looking gentleman with a Raiders hat & the not as skinny Latino gentleman that helped me. The Raiders hat really made me feel comfortable by the way.
