I was told I could return after hours, then check in on a computer. I did that, and after getting home and logging in, I was informed on the site that I needed to check in on an app at the drop off location. I was charged a $20 fee - this would have been avoided if I was told that I needed to do the check in physically on site. Very frustratingJOHN PATRICK F.
Unfortunately, after getting in the truck to drive off I saw that the truck wasn't cleaned inside. I found personal mail from a previous renter under the passenger seat. The windshield had dead bugs all over it. Coffee stains etc on the dashboard area. It was gross and I cleaned it myself. The truck drove beautifully over the 2000 miles.Catherine C.

I was picking up the truck early and it was RIGHT where it needed to be, up at the front. This also helps my mobile pick up be efficient. A rep showed up and asked if I was ok, which was nice because I was picking up really early and it was dark out. The return was easy too. The same gentleman that checked on me earlier asked me if he'd like for me to let him check my truck in, I took him up for it since it had been a long morning. Great service!ROSA A.

Christian was helpful knowledgeable and very good at customer service. Very enjoyable experience. One thing I think U-Haul should look at nationally is the placement of Tesla along side other fast EV chargers at every U-Haul location throughout the United States. Not only will it help EV drivers but this addition could put U-Haul in the category likened to that of the family auto service stations for travel and electric energy charging. I was sent here at the last possible moment on a Friday afternoon, when the original reservation location told me they were "too small", despite having the exact truck on site that I was looking for. So that added time and miles. The second site was being manned by one individual, the manager, Chris Siens, who was trying to help a line of 6 or more people by himself, since all his staff had quit without notice. Kudos to Chris for a yeoman performance. His knowledge of operational details allowed him to process me and others very quickly, all while maintaining a positive attitude in the face of adversity. I also want to comment the truck was totally serviceable and was really much easier to handle than I expected so the move was very smooth.Kevin R.

This store is small but well stocked. The manager was very kind and patient and answered all my questions and felt I received very good advice and tips ... taking some of the stress out of a household move which is an otherwise stressful time. Thank you!Keith P.
Maybe it was because there was only one person working, however we did not receive any details or next steps once we dropped off our rental truck. The person literally told us, "It will be a while before you get your receipt. You're free to go." After I got my receipt, I noticed that there was a charge for gas. I had no idea that was going to be a charge or if we needed to do that before returning it. I honestly didn't mind the charge, but it would have been appreciated if that detail was relayed to us before we left. Our truck specifically smelled like vomit and feces when we opened it up, and the smell lingered on some of our furniture. Maybe it was just bad luck but overall, I was not satisfied with my first time using U-Haul.VANESSA M.

By the passenger side, I tried to pull up the window and shut the door once more but that wasn't it, BUT I didn't mind it much it just caught my attention. I thought they did a great job. We returned the truck when there were many other trucks being returned. They had the parking lot all staged for the rush. Somebody was there quickly to manage the return and everything went smoothly! They even asked us if we had any mechanical problems with the truck (the air conditioning kept randomly switching from the front vents to the defroster) so I felt that they were interested in correcting any problems along with taking care of usual maintenance.James A.

I had the WORST experience with Uhaul. From late delivery to ignorant staff to uncommunicative customer service, the experience of picking up my Ubox belongings was some of the most horrible exchanges with a business I've ever heard. I intend to make an official complaint about it but unfortunately, no customer service representative has helped me with this. The pick up location was considerably understaffed. One employee on a Saturday morning who was receiving returns and manning the counter. Huge line that I was supposed to be able to â€œskipâ€ with the mobile pick up option. Passenger side mirror was duct taped. There were 2 staff unable to manage the long line of customer when I went for check out. They did not explain anything about the truck. It took 30 minutes to get the truck despite online check in When I went back, it was 7:55 pm. The door was open so I went in. After asking if anyone there for several minutes, the same guy who was in morning came and asked how come you are inside? How you came in? I said the gate was open and I entered from the gate. He took the keys from me and walked me to the door to get out. Gave a feeling that I'm a thief. All the trucks were so badly parked that it took another 10 minutes to take out my car when the same guy moved the truck out. It was very unsafe and another customer helped me to back up my car and come out of the place. I don't blame the guy 100%. U-haul center had lack of staff and he was clearly burnt out The truck had a smell. The AC was giving air full of gas or bad smell. I was so relieved to give the car back. Guy working the desk was incredibly rude. They did not have the equipment I requested weeks in advance and did not tell me I would need to find my own until I came to get the truck which caused major problems as my move window was small. I was told "not my problem". Less than a quarter tank left in the truck but he claimed it was half full so I had to bring it back half full, yet when I dropped off I was charged $100 for a full tank refill. The check engine light was on from the start and again was told "not my problem take it or leave it"MATTHEW M.
The dude who greeted me (outside as I pulled in), was curt, unfriendly, and acted like I am really bothering his busy day. Yes, he was busy indeed, but instead of his grumpy attitude he could have at least issue a tiny smile and politely ask me to wait. Understand that people need to be able to drop off their equipment at the location. The lot was blocked off by trucks that could've been easily moved to make room for a return with a trailer. The staff cleaning the trucks saw that I was trying to get into the lot while parked in the middle of the street to get in. They just stared and moved on to the next vehicle to clean. The center was under staffed and the guy working there couldn't handle the amount of people that were waiting to be helped. He had me park the truck in some random alley. Overall, it was the worst experience I've had with uhaul.Michael M.

Thought they opened at 8 and got there at 8:20 but reservation was for 7 so had given away our truck on the biggest moving day of the year for UT despite us making updates to the reservation a few days before which proves we were coming for the truck. Had these reservations for over 6 months. Gave away our upright dolly and roller dolly to another customer who did not have reservations for one. Last dollys in Austin- all locations said they have very few dollys? Had to drive to another location for our moving blankets that were on our reservation. I would use the location on the 6000 block? Of Burnett Road instead. I have had good service with them.Ethan M.
