The truck I drove seem to not be able to shift gears when you're accelerating from slow to faster work the engine very hard. Also I used 1/8 of a tank of gas going 6 miles and they wanted to charge me $10 because I didn't sell it up I couldn't put that little bit of gas in a car or a truck so it looks like I would be giving you guys a gallon of gas for someone else but I guess that's the contract even though I don't necessarily agree with itPatricia R.

The pick up location, the drop off experience was horrible.. the failed to log in the equipment and I kept getting calls that it was past due. I had to call the San Pedro office in person for them to fix it.. I did not appreciate them failing to log in the return.. piss poor servjcedouglas S.
Truck was old and very dangerous. If I drove past 60 mph it would shake, if I moved steering wheel even 2 inches it would go off the road, the driver's window weather strip was torn and very loud wind was heard, head lights very weak and even high beam only projected about 40 feet (dangerous). We were given a window of time in which to pick up the truck. We were notified upon arrival, and not before, that our truck had been rented to somebody else. Therefore compromising hundreds of dollars in business. We also received several (five) phone calls prior to 8am after having already delayed our return time. Additionally we were supposed to be able to return the vehicle at our leisure, per UHaul's policies. Apparently not the case at our location. Nor were we made aware of this. Again, costing us money at the fault of UHaul associates. The truck, however, was clean and well maintained. Barring extreme circumstances we will not return to this location. (This is not the first time we've had problems with them.)JOHNNY G.
When I got to the location the gentleman behind the counter was helping a couple who apparently were having trouble with their bank card he acknowledged me and asked what I needed I told him I had a reservation. He said he would be with me as soon as possible. Without going into detail the issue with the bank card took almost ten minutes and by the time the gentleman got to me it must have been evident to him by my body language and frown that I was upset. But to his credit, he was kind, courteous, professional and most importantly gave me his undivided attention to complete our business. This gentleman by his attitude alone set me at ease.PABLO R.

The previous renter of the cargo van I used didn't fill it all the way back up. Yet, whoever checked it in from that person marked it as â€œfull.â€ So, when I rented it, my contract required me to bring it back â€œfull.â€ I ended up driving the van 19 miles, but I had to add 4.5 gallons to get it to full. When I checked it back in and explained to the attendant that I just had to add at least three gallons of gas beyond what I used, he said there was nothing they could do and said I should look closer at the gauge next time. He didn't even thank me for buying them three gallons of gas. I feel like I got ripped off, and they could have easily remedied it.Andrew H.

I started my transactions online. There were some issues with ordering items so when I got to the store we had to spend some time getting the order straightened out. Then I ended up with more than what I ordered on one item and none of the rental blankets, which I was still charged for. The young lady that helped me was kind. Thank you. However the man that called me twice had a rude tone and I did not appreciate that at all. Now I continue to get the same emails from uhaul about completing my online order. This location was great. But I had reserved at a different location a week before and I had that reservation moved further.. I said fine and went to the further location. When I got there turns out they didn't have my car at either location and had me â€œtry to see â€œ if I could get one at the location I ended up at that was 15 miles away.. when originally the reservation I made was under a mile from where I was moving from and to. I ended up paying way more in miles than planned since I had to go across the city to pick it up. The people at the last sport were great but I don't think it's fair I had to way so much more money for something that was not my fault. I had reservation a week early were I was going to drive less than 5 miles round trip and ended up using 30 miles thanks to my reservations being worthless to U-Haul.Alan T.

My U-boxes were not on-site as scheduled. The GM was able to get the boxes there later that day in the warehouse. I was charged $50 for fuel even though I returned at the same fuel level there was when I rented it. Staff advised me to photo fuel levels, which I did. I was still charged $50. Repeated calls/VM to staff and GM did not get returned and here we are several weeks later and I am still trying to contact someone to get a refund for errant fuel charge.Tyler P.
The facilities were just what I needed and the staff went above and beyond in helping me when I needed it, especially when I was first moving my stuff in. There was a very nice gentleman there who gave me a hand and he always checked on me to whenever he saw me there to make sure if I need help moving anything. Everything has to go through a general manager, if he’s not there then they cannot help you. Empower your frontline workers to make decisions or develop an algorithm or rules of engagement to use with the customer. It makes them look incompetent and it is not an efficient way to do business.
