It's says 20$/ per hour, but when we returned they charged me almost 80$ + 15$ gas. The advertisement is misleading. It's like a scam. Better hired some small time movers, they will carry and drop your stuff, without feeling scammed.

The check-in experience was abysmal. I picked up the van on a Saturday morning at month's end (a busy time). The staff were slowed down by a system that is not able to handle peak loads: a staffer helped waiting customers complete the rental process on their own mobile phones as the in-store system was taking about 30 minutes per customer due to store volume. Not he staff's fault: upgrade your system to handle a busy day! DIY truck rental is not what I planned for. I took almost an hour to get through the pickup process, and I had to do it myself. Second bad experience with UHaul.

I felt cheated by the mileage tracking. I only drove 16 km, but when I returned the vehicle, it recorded 27 km. On top of that, it’s way too expensive and not competitive at all. The only reason I would ever return is if I absolutely need a truck, simply because there are no other options around.

Very cluttered and no organization. Everyone parking everywhere as there is no instruction. One of the workers almost hit my car within inches. I had to tell him to stop so I could move it. Not enough parking for people dropping their vehicles to pick up a truck. Also have only online pickup and not the option to go inside to pick up rental. It was very busy and chaotic with some people doing both options as we ended up doing as per their instructions. Dropping truck off also had not instruction. Everyone was stopping everywhere and blocking the flow of traffic. Maybe have one employee out there instructing people where to go. It would be much more efficient.

Lot is too small. No parking anywhere, very congested to maneuver your rental , had to unhook trailer myself and put it in an empty spot just so I wouldn't block others. Good rental price and the trailer worked as expected

I'm sorry but this location has a humidity problem, everything that comes out smells like mildew. The staff was very confusing about the what locks to put on and was not forward about providing information. There might also have been a privacy breach since the location had more information about me than I personally disclosed. This is overall a confusing experience. Thank you

This has happened twice at this particular location. I was forced to rent a hitch as they advised that my Car's hitch height is below 18 inches(mine is @16 inches). Its a new car Rav4 and professionally installed hitch by Toyota and still at this one particlar location I am forced to rent a hitch. I argued that it is safe but they wouldn't agree and guiding me to enforcement policy on this which I don't see any such enforcing policy that it must be more than 16 inches.

Very misleading app and online support. Truck was not available as I was told for mobile pick up so I had to come to the pick up location a second time this time in business hours. Assume this is a U-Haul corp issue as local location was as surprised as me that it wasn’t available in the app. So while the location seemed great….. another U-Haul frustration

I booked a rental in north Vancouver got a location change to another place 30km away night before pick up. Show up the next day place is closed on Sunday's. Get sent another 25km away after over an hour on the phone. My 8 am pick up time after driving all over and dealing with getting what I had booked a month in advance. Turns into 1pm my movers I had lined up where gone as by the time I drove home it was after 230pm and what compensation did I get on my 1100$ bill a 40km credit which they sent me that much farther away from my original rental location. Not a happy customer but who else is there to use?

Always a huge line and it takes forever to pick up a vehicle. Also have to wait around to find someone when returning. Would be great if there was a way to add drivers without them having to be there. Turo has this option and it is way more convenient.

There are rats in the facility for long term customers like me we get no promotions or one even free month when you are late on payment you get constantly harassed even though you have been with them for years there is no common sense I’m not happy at all my ubox was broken. Into I know it was someone who worked there because of the way my lock was by passed generally speaking I’m not happy at all with Uhaul it is impossible to get through with phone and really I only Get access to My ubox 15 days of the month out of the 30 thwt I pay for because I need to give 24 hour advance in order to do that I have to be on the phone everyday for atleast an hour just to get through to Make the reservations which is ridiculous 1 star that’s what Uhaul gets from me never mind thet you Guys dropped my ubox and destroyed eberything in it and payed me a fraction of the cost

The Uhaul was need of more detail repair. Functionally it worked. Was there gaps at the ceiling that you could see light through , yes. If it rained this would have let in water to the cargo. Several bolts were missing on the side rails inside the cargo space. Hard to tie down your load when the support rails are not themselves attached. A few other bolts in the frame were also missing raising some concern. As for service and speed of operation. This Uhaul location was excellent.

I rented a in-town trailer for a few hours, then returned and exchanged for a 1 way trailer. The return did not get processed for a week so was charged for a weeks rental on the in-town trailer, while also getting charged for the 1 way trailer. Very poor customer service - I should have onlybe charged for a 1 day rental of the in-town trailer

I would suggest that you emphasize the use of online check in, the lineup when I got there was formidable. I was able to log in and get on my way quickly. I find providing the two references excessive but you must have a reason for this.

This was an ideal location for drop off. Close to my brother‘s house so he could swing by and help with the unload. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, from the person answering the phone to the staff who managed the return of the vehicle.

On May 30 at 9am PST we went to pick up our 10 ft ruck and could not because the U-Haul app was not working. We waited for quite a while trying to connect with a Uhaul customer service person to try and understand why we could not access the truck thru the App.. Finally a Uhaul agent advised that the UHaul system was down! We ended up driving to a different site that did not require Mobile pick up so we could get a truck. We lost several hours of moving time, had people not doing anything because our UHaul truck was not ready and wasted gas doing extra driving. Are are able to receive compensation us for the extra costs I incurred?

The guy who was involved in handing over the trailer started measuring Hitch height and found that it measures 16 inch and little less from the ground and forced me to rent a new one from U haul without which he considered it as unsafe. I had been renting the trailer with same hitch with uhaul and never had a issue. It appeared as if he was going overboard. It's a Rav4 CAR AND Hitch installed by Toyota and everything as per standards.

From making the online reservation to returning the vehicle at the end was horrible. All the online information must be outdated about price and what u actually paid is ridiculously misleading. It cost me more than double the online quote. Nobody bothered to come inspect the vehicle with me before I drove away and when I returned it. And then they have the audacity to further charge me for fuel even though I have pice showing what it was and that it came back the same way as your automated system requires

The inside cab of the UHaul was not clean. I was told the gas tank was not full and to drop it off with the same amount of gas as when I received it. When I started the truck the gas tank was only 1/4 full and the first stop I had to make was at a gas station where I put $175 worth of gas in it.

The layout is terrible, half the time I could not get to my storage locker and had to wait for rentals to be moved. There is no signage or paint to tell people not to leave return vehicles in the way of the storage access and even if there was the place is so full there is no where for them to be left. If I wanted to access my unit before employee hours there is a strong chance it would be blocked by new returns. This was absolutely unacceptable and a terrible experience. The entrance is shared with a car dealership who double parks and the uhaul triple parks on their side making it an absolute nightmare. 0/10 would never recommend.

Price was good. Staff often confused or seemed annoyed that we wanted help or asked questions. Access to locker main entrance was a nightmare. Seemed like we were caught in a dispute between Honda and U-Haul on who owned the access road. There were times we could not get a vehicle to the building. There were times the access road was totally blocked. We spoke to a manager(s) on a number of occasions. Apologies but no change made. Trucks parked every where. Finally had enough. We had rented for many years but couldn’t deal with the lack of access to the building. Would have stayed but found a different location for our storage. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone until access issues are fixed.

poor storage location. To upload or download stuffs to storage takes too much detour. The main entrance gate was way too far. Used move/out feature from the app, but it didnt work. it say its in pending “waiting for uhaul employee to check the storage” then it never happened. i waited roughly 6 days then I had to walked into the Uhaul to completed move-out process.

Horrible experience had to store my personal items due to restoration work and a week before I had to take my stuff they were flooded by rain apparently not the first time. My unit was the worst hit. When I paid for unit I was never told of this incident or asked if I wanted to purchase insurance. I also recently received a notice advising the price of the unit is going up. Now we wait they said I can only choose to get refunded or go through claims. That is so wrong I should get refunded and also be able to submit claim for items damaged.

The good: Barbara is an actual superstar. Everytime I’ve needed help with something she’s been so helpful and kind. I notice other staff members seek her out for guidance as well. She seems like a great leader. The bad: it’s very hard to access the storage unit. There were often uboxes being stored in the loading bay and the neighbouring business block the road most days. On more than one occasion staff from the business next door were in their car, parked in the storage loading bay having lunch.

I was very upset when i had originally reserved the storage as i was moving down from north vancouver island 8 hours away and had reserved the storage at the smae time as the truck weeks before. When i finally got to the storage facility i was told my storage reservation was taken by another customer. I was confused because i had RESERVED it and then after driving 8 hours and nowhere else to take my things i was told it was first come first serve. So i dont understand what the point of reserving was. They originally were going to let me just walk away with nothing i had to ASK if there were other units available. Which there were but not the size i reserved so i needed to get a bigger one at a more expensive rate. THEN they were not going to honor my first free month from my original RESERVATION because i was taking a different unit. Eventually everything got sorted but was a hugely unnecessary added stress to my move. I did reccommend my friend NOT to choose uhaul for their storage and moving needs because i did not want them to go through the same thing i did. They chose a different company and it went smooth with zero issues. Unfortunate.

I had to ask the staff 3 different times about my storage locker when leaving. None of them could help me and said they would find out and get back to me by the end of the day. None of them called me back. I then emailed the GM of the uhaul about the matter. That took 3+ emails to get a reply. At which after being a customer for 3+ years, I wasn't allowed to have a prorated amount for 7 additional days for the storage. It was just a "sorry, that is policy" without thinking about the customer. After all this, I even saw a uhaul rental hit an employees vehicle and let them know about it. Not looking for the world, just a little help.

I was moving from the North Island to Coquitlam and had RESERVED a storage unit for my belongings along with my uhaul truck rental. Upon arriving atthe uhaul storange unit to offload everything i was told my reserved unit was gone because it was taken by another customer. I did not understand as I had reserved the unit for the day i arrived and the was told it was first come first serve. I have never in my life heard of a reservation being first come first serve. I was very upset and they offered a bigger, more expensive unit because all the units of size i had reserved were gone. Then they said i would not get my first month free because it was not my original reservation. I did eventually get them to do it but it was alot of unnecessary added stress to an already long stressful day of moving and driving.

One of you employees was exceptionally helpful during my time renting the two storage units. I do not remember her name at this moment, but is a blond short hair lady and she was always smiling, new the system and process very well, and provided very quick help when and I needed, and every time we cross paths in the storage area she was saying good day! Unfortunately due some changes in my finance, needed to close my two accounts, but if I needed again, will go this U-haul location and hope she is there to provide the same exceptional service.

The storage facility was at the far back when I requested one that I could drive up to, and when I sent my driver there he was told I didn't have a storage locker there , so that created unnecessary stress . Then I called about getting some guys to load and unload and these guys subcontract for uhaul . They are not professional. They didn't seem to know how to load and pack properly. Constantly checking their watch , and they just got dropped off . So they had no car and my driver was upset that on a hot sunny day he had to share the front of the truck with 2 hot sweaty guys. No where did I agree to transport these guys .. they just assumed . That was rude and annoying . Because of their lack of knowledge it costed me 2 extra hrs , a lamp, and I needed to move the rest of my things to another storage locker , costings me anadded $400 for 2mths . They broke a very expensive hand painted lamp and just threw my stuff in the locker and piacked heavy things on top of breakable things. I'm very disappointed with the company that uhaul supplied me with for loading and loading . Never again !

I had booked a few weeks prior , called the day before to change and get a bigger unit and confirm my reservation to avoid any problems for the guys the next day . I has a friend driving the truck so his time was valuable as I was paying him he got there and was told there was no storage available ...that was awful and very upsetting. He then drove to sentinel storage which was closed for lunch then he called me to ask where I'd like him to go .I also had hired moving helpers thru uhaul via select movers. Also getting paid by the hour. I told him to go back to uhaul , I sent him reservation # ..and I had to stop what I was doing ..I had cleaners, plumbers, etc on my end . And only to be told I had to do something online. My internet was canceled, computer packed, my phone was in a dead zone area and I got very upset because all the info I gave 2 weeks prior was what he asked me for . I.m still upset. Then they gave them a locker on 2nd floor with stairs when I booked a ground floor . Just a gong show a whole hour wasted and costed me $ 200. Extra that made my experience with uhaul not good I'm still very angry. Then select moving sent 2 guys..not professional movers, I couldn't understand them . They didn't know how to pack well and then I needed a 3rd storage locker and after the horrible experience I ended up booking one at sentinel over the phone in 10min and done, but .also costed me another 200 plus these guys from select movers didn't pack the locker well either and the driver called me to say it might not all fit in here..these guys don't know what they are doing and move at a snails pace . Me and 2 girlfriends had to do a lot of work to help speed up the process and so we had to help them with packing tips and they didn't want to listen at my end but we got them to fit in more things they were just going to leave .I saw lots of wasted space , then thankgod my friend got in the locker and shuffled things around and it all fit ,I'm not impressed at all with moving company and the guys they sent out, they were more concerned about the time than working and costing me another 2 hrs of time and money plus extra locker

My storage unit was flooded; U-haul never took responsibility. I lost 1/2 of my professional library as a result. In addition, there was the gong show that happened this weekend with a UBox rental. If I never have to deal with U-haul again, it will be too soon.

The website made it look like there was an elevator to access second floor. There was not at this location. And the second floor units had a large ledge at entrance so we could not wheel heavy items into it but had to lift them in. And the description of what could fit was incorrect. Can't say enough about the wonderful service received from staff, especially Christie. From beginning to end she was kind and helpful in making our storage needs a seamless experience. I would have rated 5 all the way except the last day the automatic exterior lights weren't working... it was the only time it happened and the staff was looking into the problem immediately. Additionally, access to the storage units from outside was tight a few times due to lots of parked cars and trucks but we managed regardless. Overall this was a great experience and I highly recommend uhaul storage.

The adjacent Honda dealership filled up the shared lane with vehicles stacked multiple levels deep every day, and U Haul trucks were often parked on the other side. This left very little space to maneuver a vehicle, load, unload, etc. Rental truck receiving area was often clogged with trucks coming in, completely blocking the storage unit access. I voiced my concern to two different managers, nothing was done. Access to the storage units was also restricted or blocked completely during a construction project on the Skytrain line (now completed), which made it extremely difficult to load/unload. No compensation, advance warning was provided, nor was there an apology forthcoming for the inconvenience . Waiting for counter service was very slow. Not uncommon to stand in line for 20+ minutes to speak with someone. Staff was friendly, many of the complaints were out of their control (except for the Manager).
