I had mentioned to the uhaul rep that the motorcycle trailer I rented caused by vehicle to vibrate through the whole trip. I have a utility trailer and a travel trailer and have never experienced this. I tried different speeds but only at low speeds did I notice the vibration stopped. I just think it was a wheel out of balance.Karl F.
They signed me for a particular cargo van, BE1357A but while I was on the lot looking for the vehicle, the girl came and said I should take a different van from the one I signed, BE1641U! They text me to check the state of the van while I was driving!!! The actual starting km was 17518 but they charged me at a starting 17501. When I called to dispute, the rep talk over my head saying I should have checked before leaving the compound. In other word, I should have check their msg while I was driving. The agent on the phone argues msg was sent while I was on the compound. THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. NOT RECOMMENDED.Ikramullah K.

You scam people on the gas. I was told that the truck was at a 1/4 tank. That's what the gas gaged showed. I was told to return it at that level. After completing my move I gassed up at the Petro Can station at Queenston Rd and Centennial Pkwy. I didn't put enough in so on my way to drop of the truck I added additional gas at the Esso station at Centennial Pkwy and Barton St. When I topped up it was showing at a 1/4. When I checked my credit card the next day I noticed that you had put through an additional charge for $25.88. I put over $12 in the tank and only drove about 30 KM. As I mentioned the gage was showing when I returned it as it was when I picked the truck up. I stopped by the Uhaul location and spoke to one of your employees. He said the extra charge was to top up the tank to the level I had received at. I demanded a refund. He said he'd put one through. I haven't received one. I checked my bank statements for the period when I rented from the same location in Sept 2020. You pulled the same scam then. THI IS A BULLSHIT SCAM THAT YOU PULL ON YOUR CUSTOMERS. I'VE REPORTED YOU TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, CRA AND REFERRED THE STORY TO THE TORONTO STAR. I'VE ALSO TOLD OF MY EXPERIENCE ON FACEBOOK. FUCK YOU ASSHOLES.Denis J.

The older guy who seemed to be in charge was standing there complaining about operations/employees right in front of us. The younger fellow we were dealing with seemed like he was brand new maybe training and wasnt super informative but it really didn't seem to be his fault it seemed like lack of training. However, when I first called to inquire and book my truck and storage unit- the guy on the phone was super happy to help and informative and genuinely nice! I rented a storage locker and when I opened it, it still had garbage inside as well the parking area outside of the storage container was littered with garbage/ stuff people left behind. It made parking the rented truck as well as unloading/ reloading 2 weeks later very difficult to do. Yes its covid pandemic but its no reason for that type of service. I will never use uhaul again ever. As well I wasctild that if I didn't need the storage locker for the full month then it would be prorated and I'd get $ back. When I inquired about it I was told no, its paid for we don't give $$ back.REBECCAS L.

i booked a trailer to be picked up west of Ottawa. However, I got a call the next day informing me the trailer was not actually available and I had to find another. The Uhaul on the phone for the different regions of Ontario trying to find me a trailer were rude and impatient. I was told on the phone the price would be $90 and then paid $145 when I arrived for pickup. I will look for other vendors to rent a trailer next timesLuke B.

Picked up the truck with under 1/4 tank this is unacceptable in your contract yet as a customer i received this. I had to go put fuel in before I could go and due to this put in more then I needed by far.GEROY L.
The customer sales representatives (two individuals; one at time of pick up and one at time of drop off) were not great. When we arrived to collect the rental vehicle they seemed disinterested and bored. They weren't helpful and when they did explain some of your policies, they said it in such as a way as though we were not intelligent. They explained things begrudgingly, let's say. The representative we met with at the time of return was worse. They weren't even at the counter when we arrived and then we waited for several minutes for them to come from some back area. Once they met us at the counter they asked where the vehicle was, and if we wanted our receipt by email. Seemed convenient enough except that the receipt showed incorrect information and we needed it amended. To do that, however, the rep said they would have to inspect it now (instead of tomorrow was the implication) and manually enter the changes to the receipt. We required an accurate receipt because we were submitting for reimbursement the cost of the moving truck fees. The rep, clearly angered, called the shop worker to immediately take in our returned rental van. They told them to postpone what they were working on and do the vehicle return for us â€œbecause this guy needs something on the receiptâ€. They walked out from behind the counter and went to the front door to hand off the keys leaving us to wait. When returned, the rep rudely asked â€œwhat does it need to say on the receiptâ€. The entire experience was uncomfortable, rude, and unnecessary really. It was a simple request that should have had been met with a simple response. The customer service was clearly lacking. And after a long day of moving furniture, who wants to be treated so terrible when they are there to return their framing moving vehicle rental?Mark L.

I went there, and second time this young girl had attitude, first time she was really rude, next time a attitude, and then I go up to the counter, and another guy behind the counter being all snarky with a black guy that's asking about his bill, someone needs to talk to them there and get thier customer service skills up to par, cause that will make people avoid dealing with that location, should be business and seems like thier taking it personal or bringing thier own issues into the worksite, to bad cause I've been there alot of times, and the past 2 visits, wasnt a good experience,, customer service gets worse and worse as time goes on, and it's sad because the big bosses let it happen, I run a roofing company and if my guys act like Jack asses to the customers or Big bosses on the construstion sites I either have a talk with them, straighten it out or send them home.Donald D.

Although I couldn't have identified the physical state of the trailer anyways (it was covered in snow and the surface was not visible), I didn't see the text requesting this report until long after the link had expired. I really had a great experience with this location. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I had to contact the location five times throughout the whole process and every interaction was extremely helpful and pleasant. Its usually always great. This time the van was pretty dirty snow not cleaned, inside not vacuumed and trunk was full of dirt, think the renter before us hauled some dirt or concrete. I will not be renting from Uhaul ever again. Truck at the wrong location, alignment off on the truck, not informed that the Timmins location had been closed and was forced to drive an extra 3 hours (round trip) which leads to extra money spent on gas for 2 vehicles and no support from any person, not just this location but also when I called in to the 1-800 number. The two people I spoke with were so rude and absolutely unprofessional. Dean (north) never returned any of my calls, and one other lady also from the north offices told me a $50 fee should be more than enough. I will be escalating all this to numerous channels until I get restitution.Bryan P.

Mice infested, staff couldn’t care less about our concerns, Store Manager did not return our phone calls despite numerous calls made and messages left. Some of our belongings were damaged (carpet) and no one bothered to help nor provide some sort of compensation. Will never use uHaul again for any kind of service. Every facility may have its challenges however, customer service is extremely important and no one seemed to care. Perhaps further training is required with this location staff. The person that was working should not have been working they didn't seem like they wanted to be at work I asked for a lower unit I have a lot of items to put in the storage I waited 40 minutes to get served once I obtained my key I went around the facility to enter my unit and realized it was on the top level I went back to say that the unit is not on the lower level and I was told that you couldn't do anything about it that I would have to go around the building and wait in line again after lugging in all my valuables onto a dolly from my vehicle into the facility and it was very frustrating therefore due to the attitude of the employee I decided to cancel and I did not go ahead with renting a storage unit from U-Haul however I did use the truck for that day to bring my valuables and stored items to another facility however the vehicle rental division as always was excellent but your staff on Barton Street is very young and they don't want to be there when you work somewhere you have to take pride in your job and make the people feel welcome and listen to the people when they are making requests because we the customers are the ones who grow your business to a large successful business that you are todayMarco F. | Overall Experience
