The online registration/verification process was really complicated and kept rejecting our login attempts even though we were at the location and were providing all the necessary information. I rented a storage locker for roughly 9 years. The first couple of years were amazing. It was clean and well kept. However, over the years it has be deteriorating! Trash left all over the place, homeless people leaving out of the lockers, and the employees have became ruder and less likely to help. Not a great spot to pick up a 20' truck let alone a 26' truck that I ended up with. Would love to have gotten it at the Medford/Somerville location but nothing available. I would recommend this location to people getting smaller trucks or supplies but driving out of the city with a large truck is no fun. A man and woman helped me. The woman was atrocious - rude, curt, disrespectful, etc. I asked very simple and brief questions and she stared at me, talked to me in a rude voice, kept staring at me, etc. Secondly, they gave me to Final Receipts, for the amount charged to my debit-card, each amount was different, in the second Receipt they tried to charge me $6.00 for gas when I drove only 5.5 miles total. They even provided a drawing of the gas-gauge that had it below the 3/4 tank line, half way to the 1/2 full line. I took video of it before I left and it was only 1 millimeter below the 3/4 line. I used this location to install a hitch prior to my move day. Since I was new to towing , I asked the store general manager about what all I needed to tow a trailer. He advised me that all I needed was to install a hitch and that the rest can easily be taken care of the day I come to pick up my trailer. On my move day, I was about to pick up my trailer when the same general manager told me that I will be unable to tow a trailer since I was missing trailer wiring and that he couldn't accommodate a wiring request for at least 5 days!? Prior to this point I had not only consulted him directly regarding towing requirements but also called the location beforehand more than once to confirm that everything was in order for me to tow a trailer. The same general manager even installed my hitch earlier! I was lucky that there was a truck with a trailer available and that I had the resources to pay the $900 difference to immediately switch my reservation plans. I felt like the store general manager mislead me and was disingenuous. His offer of providing me with a wiring appointment 5 days after my move date was simply unacceptable since who has the luxury to reschedule their move by 5 days? The fact that this happened after all my effort to make sure I was prepared on the day of towing left me with a bad taste.ALIAKSANDRA K.

Once I reached this location with the truck to drop off and store my stuff in the storage box, my storage box didn't have a lock in it, the first month of the storage box was supposed to be free but I still had to pay for it and the crew did not tell us where to park the truck. The location was great though the vehicle I was driving stalled in the middle of a freeway and when I brought it back the technician brushed it off like it wasn't that serious. I was charged the flat rate of the 15' track ($10) and the cost per mile of the 15'. Overall, I was overcharged $35-40. The person on the front desk was unfriendly and perhaps rude. I had a storage that was on the top level and I never could get access to the ladder they have only one that worked properly. The other one didn’t work correctly and I never could get access to either of them when I was interested there. I had to pay extra because I need to get into my storage at my convenience but never did so I rent a lower storage that cost extra. The bathroom is very dirty all the time and never no toilet paper. Super convenient location in central square. Staff is friendly and helpful. Several additional conveniences include that the facility is climate controlled, has a nice restroom (always super clean?!) , has spacious hallways, and they provide several carts for moving your stuff around. Access was easy with the uhaul card, swipe in the right box to check in, swipe in the left box to unlock the door, open the garage door and drive right in. Even though there's really only room for 1-2 cars at the top of the ramp, I never was unable to pull up and do my thing in 6 months of regular use. I paid <$150/month for quite a big space. It's a really good deal considering the price/sq ft in Cambridge. The facility is frequented by homeless people, who probably appreciate the affordable and safe storage. I never felt uncomfortable, and was never solicited for money - they were either chill and friendly or privately going about their business. First month free, and checkout was easy. Just show them a pic of the empty unit. A bit of feedback for improvement: The screws used in the construction of the units were much too long, so there are several exposed screw tips (1-1.5") coming through the walls of the unit, giving a decent probability you could puncture yourself if you were moving stuff around in there and not being careful.
