The truck I rented had a mechanical failure on the way. The transmission was being held together by plastic ties. I told the person who was in the lot and they showed the appropriate level of concern. I was assured the truck would not be checked in until the matter was handled. Two days later I got a bill for a late check in. When I contacted the store manager he told me to talk to the renting location. After a little more conversation he did go back and refund the money. I don't know if he assured the truck was fully repaired before renting it again.JEANNE K.

I rented a furniture dolly and furniture pads 1 month in advance however when I came to pick up the truck I was informed they did not have any furniture dollys or furniture pads. this negatively impacted my move in a substantial way. The original location for returning the UHAUL trailer on Hwy 55 was texted to me. When I arrived at this location the worker told me he could not take the trailer and I needed to go to 15-501 for drop off. I drove 14 miles when I could have gone to the location less than 2 miles from my home. Again, disappointed and frustrated by this experience to return the trailer.Angela S.
The initial contract under-recorded the actual mileage on the vehicle by nearly 100 miles! I feel that this should have been verified by staff. Helpful would be an estimate of gas mileage in the vehicle. My truck required a 1/4 tank for an approximate 55 mile round-trip. This was my first time renting a truck. The truck needed an oil change, (0% oil life). It was a good experience reserving the truck. The staff was courteous when I pick -up the truck. However, when I returned the truck there was only one person available, and they were newly hired and unable to provide all the services. They were short staffed around 4pm. I wasn't sure if I should go in to the store to check in, or simply wait in my 10' foot truck under the overhang. After a few minutes of waiting, I decided to start taking my car off the tow dolly and by the time I was done with that, an employee came out to take a look at the condition of my truck and dolly, check the gas gauge, and check the odometer. Ultimately, the process concluded within 12-15 mins, with about half of that time filled with waiting on an employee's assistance.Mike S.

While the app was a nice self-service option, on the return process, when it left the app and went to the website, it was much slower and clunkier, particularly when entering the fuel gauge. The navigation of the app can also be improved in order to make it clear how long it will take and what information is required. This may make sense to those who rent UHauls frequently. But it is a significant process for those who rent infrequently. Finally, the UHaul had 90,000+ miles, and it's engine shuddered while running. It was clean and functional, but not confidence inspiring, and I was concerned getting on the highway. I got perhaps 9 miles to the gallon on a 10' rental, which shows the state of the engine.Pranab M.

I reserved moving pads but they told me they did not have any and I have not received any refund. Also, passenger seat had white powdery substance on it I still can't identify. I had trouble getting key and had to wait in long line to even speak to anyone.Scott D.
The Uhaul location marked the truck as full of gas, but once I drove off the lot I noticed it had only three-quarters of a tank. It was my oversight not to notice this and point it out before driving away, but the Uhaul center should have gotten this correct. I returned the truck with a full tank, and this probably cost me an additional $40 - $50 on the rental. Also, this Uhaul center was understaffed on the morning I picked up the equipment. One man was having to attend to all customers, and this meant a line ten people deep built up at the register and I had to wait an hour-and-a-half to get the help I required.Chris G.

I've been using this location for years and it has gone downhill in the last couple. For example, the last three times I picked up a van it was clearly not cleaned out from the last renter. That was true of the van I was assigned, although the truck I eventually received was clean. The reason I didn't leave with the van I was assigned is the keys in the lock box I was directed to weren't correct! This led to a very long wait on the lot until I could get a callback, then going through different options (one of the other boxes didn't have the key I needed, and the last one had a different combination than was on file so couldn't be opened) before finally getting a truck for the same rate. While the rate was the same, the fuel costs for the truck were much greater than they would have been for the van I had reserved. All that said, the call center agent who I eventually reached was EXCELLENT! Very understanding of the situation, and kept thinking of new things to try to solve the problem, which in the end she did. That was a bright spot in what was otherwise a frustrating experience getting the vehicle, and hopefully the survey can be tied back to the call to share the feedback.Matthew K.

Everyone was very helpful and cordial. I rented a unit “on-line” and when I arrived there was not one of the units available- as I was unable to NOT have one I had to rent a larger unit. I do not hold this location responsible for the problem- it is a CORPORATE issue and they should be held responsible for their technical website processing error. We had a free month rental with our trailer rental. Arrived after hours on 11/4 to move in but checked in online. Door code would not work. There was no lock in our unit as promised. Moved in 11/4 with our own lock, tried to move more items in on 11/10 but there was a facility lock on our door preventing us from accessing the unit. Looked at our online account, it says we are past due but a month has not passed therefore we should not be locked out. Tried calling number posted for after hrs 3x with no answer. Found office unlocked and sliding door still operational. Looked to see if someone was still on site, found no one. Tried calling number again, finally reached someone who said they would try to find someone to come out. Someone did finally arrive but only secured office. Said he couldn't help us access our unit. The rating on here really should be separate one for the facility itself and one for the staff. The facility was a 0 for me with the roaches that occurred within the first week. The response to fix this issue could have been much quicker. It’s not really a fix but the bug bomb killed off anything that was on the soft bags. Unfortunately, (now I know) with it being an outside unit, this is common. The rating is in no way a reflection on the staff. Terrance and Shaun were also very helpful from the start with reporting the issue. Jeremiah the GM was great once he understood there were roaches and took care of it to the best of his abilities, except it was too late (3-weeks in). The issue with this location is the roaches which appeared in my unit the very first week. I lost several items due to the roaches including memento that were damaged and irreplaceable. The area manager Michelle was supposed to contact me and never did. I am saddened by this experience. The only reason I would not recommend this facility, is the roach problem. The staff, were as helpful as could be with the circumstances. This facility really needs to contract with professional services like Terminex and Orkin. I would have never place my items here had I know there was a roach issue. If you choose to store here, make sure you know there is a roach problem in the outside units and store all your items in air tight plastic bins.TONI B. | Overall Experience

Basically it’s a bait and switch your offer the free month of storage when you rent a trailer and then you get to this place and you’re on the second floor and they don’t tell you there are stairs to get to the second floor when your offer the free storage and they don’t tell you that there’s no elevator to get to the second floor so it just sucks or you can pay like 50 bucks more and then you can go anywhere else and find the same amount storage on the first floor so it just stinksLisa T. | First Impressions

I rented a mid-sized space on the 2d level. At first I was worried about the access to the 2d floor, but it was perfect for us. Everything about the site was perfect, from security to staff. The women that I meet, who maintained the inside of storage facility was helpful and nice. When I looked at this facility online, the pictures looked like a one story building. It’s two levels. When I was given a second story unit, I asked where the elevators were. The response from the employee was, “this building has been open for over 10 years and has never had an elevator! You should know that!” - I am not from the area and was just helping my daughter move.
