I reserved a trailer for 1 pm. I paid two guys $60/hr. to watch your one employee struggle with a line that took until almost 3 pm for that trailer to leave with them. This gave them not 6 but 4 hours to do the things they needed to do with the trailer, and putting their travel smack in the middle of rush hour, insuring that they couldn't get their tasks done and couldn't returned it before close of business. I was told that cost me an additional $20. Nope, never, not ever again. Don't mind being vocal either. An expensive mistake to have made, it won't happen again.LORENA H.

Short handed in the beginning, long wait times, phone never answered. Was told about quality of customer care, was told to get out and ask people to apply for jobs. That didn't set well. Non apologetic for any additional wait times that I had during my time. I used the online reservation system to rent a pick-up truck. This was for picking up 12 sheets of plywood and 8 rolls of insulation - a small load. When I got to the U-Haul store, I was told there were no truck available! Customer service person said that the online reservation system allows you to reserve an item but there is no guarantee the item will be available. No were is that written! This is quite frustrating and I can assure you I WILL NEVER US UHAUL AGAIN!!Mark L.

We showed them our receipt and explained we were dropping off and they said we were fine to leave and they would send an email confirmation. It was a HASSLE to get my Ubox picked up. I called 3 times to make sure the pick up address was correct. It took me on average 30 minutes to get through the line to talk to someone. When I did, it seemed like I was forwarded to a customer service line because they had limited information and all they could tell me was what I already saw online. According to the online portal, the pick up address of the Ubox was a Harry Hines location, however, when the moving help went to that location they were told that the UBox was not there and they were given another address. I had to pay extra $$ for the extra mileage. Not sure WHY that address had appeared on the portal and why no one was able to confirm OUTSIDE of what was in the portal but it was definitely inconvenient. The wait times, the run around, nice people but they didn't provide the right info.Leslie D.

Facility was understaffed when I picked up and dropped off. The morning customer service rep was awesome even though he was the only person working the computer at 08:15. Upon return: The Employee who works in the return lot needs to be more attentive to arriving customers than sitting in a vehicle looking at his cell phone. Worst experience with Uhaul. Spent over an hour and a half in line to pick up the rental. Apparently the manager had not shown up that day. Wrong trailer assigned to someone else ended up being attached. I was made aware of this once I dropped of the trailer. I contacted customer service to find a resolution and had to wait over an hour on the phone to talk with someone. Customer service gave me an email to the GM of the pickup location along with another Uhaul email to make them aware of this and also to make sure I wasn't going to be charged for the MIA trailer. I never received a response from those emails. I noticed today I'm being charged for a higher amount that my contract for this mix up. I'm trying to talk to someone with the number given on Uhauls website and am not able to reach anyone and the call gets dropped. Please contact me Uhaul corporate to get this issue resolved.JOSEPH T.
The service today was horrible. There was a line of customers, including myself, and no one at the counter for a while. The customers who were inside waiting appeared to have been there for a time. I waited about 5 minutes and then went to look for someone to assist us. When I saw an employee, I asked if he knew who was working at the front counter. He said it was him, and he's the only one there. In total, I waited over an hour to return my vehicle. I attempted to use the online return option but encountered some issues that required me to wait for assistance from the only employee working in the office. I would recommend more than one person be working, especially on a Monday morning. My wait of an hour caused my daughter to be late for her appointment. Another reason I would not recommend this location is that for over a year when I have gone there to access my storage unit, I cannot enter the main building door to get to my storage unit. I go to the building where my storage unit is located, attempted to enter the main building door, and it will not open. This requires me to drive to the office, make an employee aware of the issue. The employee will then have to come over, try the door to verify the problem, go to the opposite end of the building, and then walk to open the door at the opposite end closest to my unit. I have brought this to several employee's attention that I always encounter this issue, but the problem still has not been resolved. I drove to the site the day before I rented the truck and waisted gas and time because I could not gain access to my unit, and the office was closed. I have been renting my unit for many years and hope that my concerns are addressed and resolved.Tarchina T.

When someone reserved a specific size vehicle 1.5 weeks in advance and it gets changed 1 day before the move to a smaller truck is unacceptable. The cargo van was clean, there was damage to the rearview mirror but it was clearly marked. The issue was that this location is seriously understaffed. It's a rather big center with storage units and on a busy weekend there needed to be more than three people working. We waited 45 minutes on Saturday to pick up the cargo van that we had already reserved and another 30 when we dropped it off on Sunday. The three employees working were pleasant enough, just not enough of them. We will not be going back to this location.PAUL B.
The reason for giving 2 stars on this UHAUL experience was below: Pros: 1. The equipment condition is good, everything works like usual. However, that's the only pros. Cons: 1. Awful working ethics and attitude at this location. The staff including the general manager himself don't know how to do the works efficiently. They will need 40 mins to service 2 customers. There is no asking, no concern, and no thank-you words. They look like they don't like their jobs and services at all. 2. The 2nd customer service lady confirming my reservation had extremely awful service. She called me and let me know that the trailer was not returned to my location so my reservation needed to be relocated. However, before her phone call on 8/13 Friday, another lady already confirmed the trailer for one time. In my understanding, the confirmation phone call is to work out the equipment location to guarantee with the customer. If anything happened, Uhaul needs to work out the equipment location to satisfy the reservation that was "confirmed". Otherwise, what is the purpose of 1st confirming phone call? I shared this idea with the lady on the 2nd confirming phone call and let her know that company should work on a solution like a credit reimbursement or penalty on people who don't obey. However, this lady told me that "if you don't accept the relocation, I can cancel the equipment, up to you". Then, when I tried to ask her employee ID or other information to keep on record, she ended hanging me up and said that" I don't need to deal with this, have a great day." Normally, I have fairly good experiences with Uhaul in my moving business. But this time is the worst one I ever had.Ko T.

I then parked in case I needed to sign something. "You're done. You can go." is the last thing this older white man said to me. If I could describe him in a word, it would be "rude." Employee changed the drop off location to 50 miles away from where I intended and what was agreed upone with my paid contract. Called corporate to figure out what was wrong was informed that they changed the drop off location because they have to many trucks at the previous location I chose. Not my fault. How I have to pay for extra mileage and gas. Customer representative also told me i would be charged +$1,000 if I drop it off at a location other than specified. This is extremely unethical. Just a recommendation because my experience was great overall. There could be lighting in the actual storage unit. Motion detected preferably so people don’t forget to turn it off and waste electricity. Also it was super hot in the unit I was in. Maybe some type of air flow. I think they need to hire more staff. When I arrived I went in asked the older white male for assistance with the auto transport to take my car off (that’s what I was told to do from Chantilly location), he advised to get in my car and someone will be over to guide me down. Here is where I had the issue I advised him that I couldn’t get in because the things were blocking the doors, he said they come off just pop them off or something to that sort. I said i don’t know how and I was not there when U-Haul put it together. He then rolled his eyes and shook his head as if I worked for U-Haul and I knew what he was talking about. At that point Jesse just came and told me I can help you ma’am (thank goodness). He then guides me off I advised him I’m waiting on movers where can I move truck he told me at the storage unit. Well they have not giving me one yet so no access. He then told me to pull over to the right. I waited in the truck until he can move the auto transport for maybe 5 to 10 minutes because I could not back up with it there. I got out and asked when he was moving it he told me it would be a while and just leave my truck there. I go inside speak with Barbara (very nice) she calls the young lady to show me the units. The one I selected had a big helium tank in there. She advised by the time I get back it would be moved. Well i came back the tank was right outside my unit actually in the way. However my movers moved everything in. We closed the door had a little struggle but we got it closed. Went to open it back up and it would only lift half way. Just realizing after unloading that the unit door was broken. I went and spoke with Barbara Advised her it was broken and when shut the top right side is kinda open. She then said she would get one of the men to look at it. I had to go because It was almost 3 o’clock at that moment I had been there since 12p with all the waiting and going back and forth. She then advises me to come in tomorrow and my stuff would be fine because they have cameras everywhere. This was a very stressful experience.
