Divine NThis location charged me for an extra day when I’d turned the rental truck in on time all because they were too lazy to get up and check the truck in while I was there. Not to mention they allowed multiple customers who arrived later to be serviced before me as I waited in line to be heard. It wasn’t until I stepped up and spoke for myself that I was provided any assistance, which came as such a passive direction telling me to just sit the keys in the U-Haul so that I would be fine. Additionally, I was given a runaround when I called on the phone to address the faulty charge. It wasn’t until I came in person by my own doing that I was finally assisted by the manager Johnny. At least Johnny did his job correctly.
Germaine WThe staff was great but you have to get better seating for customer who decides to wait. There were 2 old dining room chairs and 2 computer chairs on casters. As someone who older and has a disability non where good for me to sit in. The old dining room chairs were to high and I took the change and sat in one of the computer/caster chair praying the didn't roll on me.

Anton tWhen someone asks for a motorcycle trailer, I expect the associate to know what that is. Associate was on the phone on speaker as I walked up. That was unprofessional. Your website says you have a motorcycle trailer. I ask about a motorcycle trailer and she says they don’t have a motorcycle trailer. She offered a 5x9. I said no. I need a motorcycle trailer. I go to leave and I see a motorcycle trailer with the wheel notch for the front wheel. I go back in and she says U-Haul doesn’t call it a motorcycle trailer. I said the website markets it as such. First location I went to had computer issues so I had to drive 20 minutes out of my way to the second location where the associate had no clue what I was talking about. Pretty annoyed about the whole situation. Trailer worked fine. No issues there.

Jason CI just wanted to let you know I got my things out of storage and they took my payment out on the 15 march and I got my things out the 16 of march 2024 I don't think it's right that I didn't get a refund for that 1 day after the payment was taken out and I moved my things the next day.hope a manger would contact me.

ella g | Online Move InMy furniture was covered in something that looked like pollen which made my sofa really dusty. Not sure how that happened or what it was but nothing else was dusty but the sofa. I really appreciated Juan Green’s dedication to being a helpful and friendly staff. He made sure that my Ubox was moved under the garage to make it convenient for me to load from my storage unit. He was friendly and even when I spoke to him over the phone he told me that he was there to answer all of my questions and he had answers for anything that I needed. Another staff member (didn’t catch his name) tried to get out of moving my ubox. He was being pure lazy when it was his job too. He has a pop belly and I believe had gold on his bottom teeth. I don’t describe this to be mean but so you know who I’m referring to. He was totally unprofessional and ridiculous. I was also very pleased with Terrence Cash. Super friendly and he made sure my Ubox was initially moved close to my storage but he couldn’t move it under the garage because another customer was using the entire thing. He walked me around the property so I would have an idea of where my box would be placed. He also made sure that my box would be shipped out as soon as possible. He told me he would keep me posted by giving me a call and he kept his word and called me the next day. Thanks to Juan and Terrence for making sure things got done.
Tiffany W | Overall ExperienceI paid at least two extra months rent in late fees because for over a year they refused to change my due date to something that would work for me. After two years of begging, they finally let me change it. Some of the staff was rude to us from the beginning. Then in August a storm came and took off part of the roof causing water damage to some of our stuff, and we gave them permission to move our non damaged items to a new unit, and they would document the damaged items before discarding them. They didn't document anything, so we go to get a piece of furniture out for a friend and it's missing with half of our stuff. My wife had to get a police escort to demand to see our old unit because they refused to do it without the police there. In the unit was two pieces of damaged furniture, but everything else was gone. They told us to file a claim with their insurance, Repwest. They reached out to me while I was working, but I tried calling back several times and the would not return my calls. My wife tried calling, and they won't return her calls either. Now we're out thousands of dollars in damaged property due to staff negligence by not documenting anything and no means of replacement.

Another associate added one on. That afternoon when I went to the unit, it already had a lock on it. I had to be switched to 4 units. The 1st was occupied 2nd water damage tag 3rd occupied the last unit my husband found which was a smaller unit. Smh. The young man that serviced us in the process that afternoon when we checked in was 100% awesome. Great customer service. He completed our services including truck return with a beautiful smile and courteousness. I WILL DO REPEAT BUSINESS BECAUSE OF HIM. Thank you for your service young man. Morning staff POOR service. Afternoon gentleman AWESOME. the associates names are on my contracts so there is no need to state that. Please address accordingly.

I told the representative that I would be out of town and was told that it would not be a problem for me to come back to check on my items the following week. Upon my return, my items were missing. I notified employees several times to no avail. I am currently awaiting a response from the general manager. I also asked for a copy of the items damaged in the flood so that I could send it to my renters insurance. I still have not received such paperwork.

One memo told me I must take that truck will be charged $217. And the other member told me I could just call and explain. I don't know if this is your concern, but the truck was a nightmare. It cost me almost $300 in gas. And that shouldn't have went that way. That's because you'll keep old trucks. That's not tuned up and in proper working order. It took me 12 hours to come down to 29229. From VA 23608.

The SERVICES of renting a unit purchasing packing supplies, truck rentals, and hitch is handled efficiently with excellent customer service. I highly recommend this sand hills location, all the staff are always professional. It is unfortunate the weather created calls of concern for our rental units but again, I was greeted with nice people in a professional manner.

The facility should’ve been updated/ maintenanced so that this didn’t happen to it’s customer’s. Also as the workers were helping to move my things they dropped a couch on my dryer denting it up and went on as if he didn’t happen instead of notifying us that it happened. This is very unacceptable and I wouldn’t recommend your facility to anyone based on my experience.

I told customer service that I wanted the unit outside because I had some much stuff to move, 2nd I felt unsafe entering my storage unit because someone broke the glass to the roll up doors exlease twice I don't no if someone try to brake in, Then 3rd I was going to move my stuff out of storage on 08/06/2023 because that is when my free 30days was up but some how my Debit card been save on file for auto pay with out my authorization so I was charged $215 something dollars on the 6th so that cause my account to overdrawn so I couldn't move my belongings out on the 6th to pay for a U-Haul truck so I had to wait until I get paid again on 06/11/23 to clear up my account . So I move my stuff out on 08/12/23 because the weekends is only when I'm off. And also on 06/11/23 I reserved a 20 foot truck in was told that that it will be available at 9am on 08/12/23, but that wasn't the case. It wasn't available, so I had to get a smaller truck and also made extra trips. I don't think I will be U-Haul services again.

He was very rude, act as if asking questions was a problem . I almost cancelled my U-Haul services because of his terrible attitude. However, the only reason I didn’t cancel was because thank God for Mr Hasheem he was polite, professional, answered all of my questions and if it wasn’t for him having EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE I would’ve cancelled. He should be promoted to a Manager because he represented what your company should display to its paying customers. I stayed only because of Mr Hasheem excellent service in helping me! I pray I never have to deal with another horrible employee again like Mr Lamarcus representing your U-HAUL COMPANY!

The reality is the employees stole my items and got away with it. They could have let me know the same way they let me know when I didn't pay so I could have come to pick up my inventory. Worst experience ever and I will never return or recommend them again.

ROSALIND C | Overall ExperienceReserved 10x20 climate controlled + an 11x30x12 non climate controlled thru corporate. Our movers got to uhaul and the 11x30x12 was an open air/non enclosed space. Somehow they changed us to FOUR 10x10 spaces (1 of which isnt even 10x10) no where near each other, without letting us know, and caused a ton of chaos & extra expense with our movers (not to mention much higher monthly cost for storage as well). Cost us an extra fortune, is less space than we need, and our experience has been awful.

I went up to the front desk and was told by the person at the desk that it wasn't his job to remove that lock. He called someone and they told him to remove the lock. We just finished taking everything out this weekend after moving into our home. I was extremely impressed with this UHaul and it’s staff. For the whole year they were very friendly every time we went in there. I did have a couple issues with the auto pay on the website, but the staff helped me each time and were so kind about it. Always helpful with anything we needed. GREAT JOB GUYS.. We thank you so much for making this move as easy as possible!!!!

I drove hours and could not get any assistance to get in storage because a male staff on duty earlier gave me the wrong time to get in ! I had items loaded up and I could not get in to the building! I called 24 hour customer service and still got nowhere! It was hot and mosquitoes around storage were awful ! No one stated to ask for extended time until after the office hours were closed! 24 hour Customer service should’ve been able to give extended time to customers if they can see you are a customer on computer! Never received a call from manager like the customer service said ! Never received email from management like customer service said !

I'm still confused how that happened considering we have to present an ID. They said it was probably because we shared a (common) last name literally nothing else i.e. someone was too incompetent to do the minimum requirement of the job which is reading and comprehension!

Customer service is pretty slow here...not sure if its because they need help or the work environment is too laid back. There were times in the past I've had issues with my storage account and the bank drafts. The floor management/personnel wasnt the most helpful. Store manager issued back some credit for the late fees that should not have been charged due to their systems not working but that's after I asked nor did i get back all of my late fees. All in all, it's a service that customers really do need but they treat customers like we need them not they need us.

Convenient with the moving carts. There was a big moving truck that pulled in minutes in front of us. There was only the one functioning door. However, there was ample space for us to park our truck and trailer where we were still able to unload. We are very impressed with this facility and the staff is great!

Virginia R | First ImpressionsScheduling my Uhaul was an issue; the site I was sent to did not have the truck I needed and then I was on hold for over an hour- my move was grossly delayed. Then, through the office I setup automatic payments and asked the gentleman twice if we were good to go- turns out we were not. I got the payment due notification, but all of my bills are set up to auto pay and it didn’t autopay- I immediately paid and emailed the agent and never heard back. Logged into my account and the auto pay was not set up. So I set it up- the following month was the same issue. This time I called instead, they waived the late fee and corrected the issue. The site does not save properly, and is full of discrepancies (payment never saved properly and misinformation on vehicle availability) . However, majority of Uhaul staff are patient and accommodating- I thank those gentlemen who assisted through each hurdle.

Then I tried to upgrade my unit and because if another glitch my lock was cut off. I’ve also been trying to get a hitch installed. That order also got erased. Fortunately your team fixed the problem but I was seriously considering moving.

We had just moved from Texas and everything getting here was a disaster. The only good and stress free part about our move was this uhaul location and how understanding they are. Loved how conveniently the loading docks are located and they had so many dollies for us to use.
