Picked up truck from this location because the location I had secured the truck from called the morning I was supposed to get the truck to tell me they did not have it. I was able to get the truck from the new location, everything was fine with the rental but I was charged for a lot of additional miles that I did not put on the truck upon turning it in.

I reserved a utility dolly and furniture dolly along with the truck. However, the day before when I called to confirm my pick up time the manager, Maranda, told me she didn’t have a utility dolly for me. Maranda did offer use of the store utility dolly and enough extra miles for me to return it to the store. When I picked up the truck there was a utility dolly available for me and all was well. Last year when I rented a truck the location didn’t have the furniture dolly I reserved. This is not acceptable service as a customer reserved a piece of equipment they require for the move only to find out last minute the location cannot provide it. That is, quite frankly, horse hockey and is not what it means to reserve a piece of equipment and then for U-Haul to not produce the equipment. It is a broken promise and not good customer service.
Laura EI got the truck with an eighth of a tank. The employee told me it had an eighth of a tank and told I had to bring it back on a quarter. I’m still uncertain why I had to put more gas in it than it had when I got it.

Travis SThe employee who helped me was very nice, professional, and informative. He made the process very smooth. The only thing I would comment on is that the truck I rented was said to have 1/4 tank of fuel before I used it, but it had slightly less.
Erin OKeep the vehicles topped off with gas. Don't expect customers to fill it up for you. Don't play a game by nickel and diming your customers. If you don't return it with the proper amount of gas, you get charged $6.50/gallon. If you return it with 10 gallons too much, you don't get reimbursed. Great. You tell me how much it would take to get to a quarter tank FROM WHEN I PICKED IT UP. I picked it up with 1/16th of a tank of gas. Then I had to put gas in it. How much? How far will I be driving? How big is the gas tank? What's the MPG? It's a racket to squeeze money out of already honest paying customers. The vehicles need to be returned FULL of gas. If not, the location should use that $6.50/gallon to make it so. THAT WAY, when I return it, I'll drive as far as I need, then return with a full tank for the gas that I used--not giving free gas to Uhaul. I have rented from Uhaul NUMEROUS times, and at least once a year the last 4 years. This is the first time I ever received a vehicle that wasn't at least almost full. And yes, I put $70 worth of gas when I picked it up and returned it just shy of a half tank. You're welcome!!!! Also, this is the SECOND year in a row I was charged an additional day for returning the vehicle two days later at the agreed upon time. If I wouldn't have paid attention to my receipt, I would have been charged ANOTHER $20 I shouldn't have.

Travis SFor my move-out process, I had to rent both a storage container and a truck. I initially had an issue with the assignment of my storage unit, but the staff resolved it the very next day. The new unit itself had plenty of space and worked perfectly for my needs. The truck rental was also great — it had enough room to move all of my belongings comfortably. Overall, the entire rental process was smooth, convenient, and a very positive experience.

MARIA ERental of a 6x12 trailer with a ramp is TOTALLY misleading. I needed to pick up an item that is 62 inches wide...assumed a 72 inch wide trailer would be good. The trailer is designed at the rear corners where it actually cuts in about 10 inches on each corner, making the ramp only about 4 feet wide. I could not load my item...wasted a rental, about 5 hours of driving time and a half tank of gas. Should I have noticed this at pickup? Probably, but there was some drama on whether or not my ball hitch was too big, so was mostly focused on that end of the trailer.
STEVEN CBrandon was very professional and kind. He was super helpful and just had a great attitude and work ethic.
JEFFREY SMiranda did everything to make my rental experience smooth. She went above and beyond to help me out. I feel like she really cares about her customers. UHaul has a real gem in Miranda.

Lindsay SNot specific to this location, but I rented my U-Haul for 3 days and had a drop-off location near my residence in Marion, Illinois. I got a call from someone at U-Haul asking if I can drop off the vehicle in Carbondale, 20+ miles away from my original drop-off location. I agreed to be kind enough to do so, but you'd think U-Haul would have been kind enough to maybe compensate me for the extra time invested driving further to drop off the vehicle. I also dropped off the vehicle about 31 hours after renting it. That's 41 hours early. You'd think there'd be a little compensation back from that as well, considering you can now rent it out sooner than anticipated.

I was told that since I called the day before it was due that it would be fine and they would not charge me for an additional day. However after I returned the truck at about 2pm the person that checked the truck in charged me for a full additional day. When I called to ask why and explained that the other person said it would be fine, and that I even had an updated email showing the 4pm return at the original rate, he said he would have to call the manager to reverse the additional charge and he would call me back. He never called and I don’t see a credit…

I was supposed to receive a dis count due to me using Uhaul for my pods in Louisiana transport from CA AND towing a Uhaul from Baton Rouge. No discount because there weren’t any ground floor small units available. Only a large unit for $114. No discount comes with that unit. The young man was rude and failed to inform my husband and me that it had no lights I’m 72 and was too tired to look elsewhere. The unit had no lights and was filthy by flashlight. It was a total ripoff.

Supposedly I had a free lock because I rented a Uhaul trailer in Baton Rouge. No free lock. I would never recommend this storage facility. You couldn’t tell if it was clean in the dark. I was spoiled by Devon self storage from a poorer state, LA. clean- well lit- secure at all hours- roll up door for easy access. This facility is awful.
