I completed the check-in on line, but still had to wait in line to pick up the truck. I think there was a way to avoid the line completely, but I did not figure it out. If there was a way to simplify the pick-up, it would improve the process for me.

The roof of the truck we rented had several roof leaks. We called as soon as we noticed the issue. We were told the trucks are water repellant not waterproof . So several boxes got wet and made very difficult to move be cause they were soggy. We ordered truck to be p8cked up in streamwood and got a call at 730 am say no truck we have to go to another location which caused us to put added miles on truck which coast us more. No happy. What happened to if truck not ready you get 50 back.

Only one person working there was not in the store. Had to wait 10 minutes for him to come back. He then left with a customer and we waited another 10 minutes for him to return. Seemed to be in no hurry to help customers. Now there was a line waiting. Horrible service with no hurry to accommodate customers leaving you alone in the store. You need several people in that store. Also the brakes were bad on the truck we rented.

From the moment I walked in the young man was very attentive, making sure everything was done right one of the best places I've gone to so far for U-Haul and I will only use U-Haul, but it's nice when you have a facility that cares and that facility is one of the best

The pick up went great and the representative was very helpful! I found out, after reaching my pick-up point, that the lift assist on the ramp wasn't working, which requires much more effort to lower without crashing to the ground, and is much heavier to lift back up to close. I told this to Nick when I returned the unit.

it was a bit difficult to get the truck out of the lot as there were no signs to go around the building as the front is blocked by equipment. If I had started to front not sure how I would have turned around. Luckily I walked to back and saw it goes around so I turned that direction from the tightly parked space the truck was in. Otherwise all was good except the app would not accept or upload photo for pick up so I had to call in to record condition and pickup and the app said I had wrong plate but plate matched the paperwork.

I rented a trailer—- definitely need to walk the equipment with the customer to mark damage and have the customer sign off. I had to go back into the store to point out damage that was on the trailer.

The gas tank was not full and i informed the clerk and i was told it was fine. I have to fill up extra $15 on top of my gas usage just to cover the gap before returning.

I was transferred to 5 different uhuals to get my truck which was over 40 minutes from my address so I had to go over miles and i got charged a fee for ot to be checked in overnight even though I dropped it off a day early

I had a lot of issues with the app when it was time to check the trailer back in. The app did not like my pictures and it wouldn’t accept them.It was very frustrating. I finally gave up. I didn’t think the check in actually worked but the following morning everything was checked in at the correct time. The App definitely needs some attention. Otherwise it was a very nice experience.

I reserved a 10 box truck, one way trip from carol stream and drop off at Grayslake. I was called THE DAY BEFORE my move that I had to pick up my truck in Cicero because Carol stream had no more 1 way trucks. I had to cancel this order and create a local reservation, so after moving all my stuff in Grayslake, I had to take the truck back to Carol stream and then find a ride all the way up to Grayslake. No one that I spoke to showed any empathy and I feel this is so unprofessional, since I had already reserved this truck well in advance. I believe I’m entitled to restitution

the straps on the car transport were cut off so we didn't have what we needed to move the vehicle, which is why we paid for the car transport trailer. we were able to pull together some chains from home and keep the car in place - but that's NOT right. I believe we are due some sort of credit for the issue and inconvenience. Do you agree?

I ordered a dolly with my truck, was not told if it was in the truck or if I needed to grab one. Got home and there was no dolly. Also, I selected the option to pick up the truck through my phone but the website kept saying it would sent a code to my phone and never did, so had to go inside and their POS system was down or something so I stood there for a good 20 minutes waiting for the key for the truck, just to not get the equipment I needed. Finally got the codes sent to my phone 15 minutes after leaving with the truck. Which also means I didnt get the link to upload pictures of the truck before leaving, so I hope that doesn't affect the way I am billed.

Everyone who works here is so very kind and friendly. The previous manager and now the current manager Nick have both blown me away with their kindness and help! Thank you Nick for being so helpful and a truly kind person! To say Nick goes above and beyond is an understatement I hope you get appreciated for how truly great you are! You deserve all the appreciation. I petition becoming the CEO or top manager of managers… I have crowned him King of managers 👑 I’ve rented trucks and rent storage units here. Prices are reasonable for someone with a stable professional job but for myself, living paycheck to paycheck financially struggling already, I wish Uhual would lower their costs but instead it has been increased, in this economy!? It’s impossible I have had to downsize my storage unit, now I need to actually get rid of my personal belongings I care about now

I was trying to return a 6 X 12 trailer at a popular time. One of the associates jumped in a truck and drove around and took my trailer so I didn't have to wait! Very well done :-) Sorry I don't have his name here, my paperwork is at home...

This was the best experience I have had with a business for quite a while. I was impressed with the manager and staff. Their “can do”, positive attitude was greatly appreciated by me. If U-Haul recognizes exemplary sites, this site should definitely be recognized.
