I made a reservation 1 month a head of time. The scheduler/manager called me the night before the pick up and said I had to drive 2 1/2 hours to pick up the Uhaul and trailer. Then 2 1/2 hours back to where I needed to load. The manager was unwilling to make any compensation for extra gas or time.I made the reservation for one way from NH to Hixson TN. I turned it in at Hixson TN 3 days ahead of the required time. However Uhaul charged me an additional $312.04 saying just the trailer was dropped off in Florida!!? I will never rent from Uhaul again. If anyone I know is moving I will tell them to rent from Ryder. Additionally the average hold time to speak with a Uhaul customer service agent is at least 30 minutes. Your organization is horrible and you need to clean up your business.Shawn J.

I've rented a number of times from UHaul and this was one of my easiest and most pleasurable experiences. I did the pre-Checkin and everything was in the computer, the agent offered me a location for drop off that would give me a cheaper rate overall, everything was efficiently taken care of and the agent was very helpful. Provide better customer service. Stephen (the manager) was unresponsive to any of my attempts to contact him after I was unable to access my U-Box (directly after receiving written email confirmation that I would be able to). This experience was one of the most hell-ish weeks of my life. I spent a week in my dorm without any of my belongings and spent over $150 on rental car fees trying to access my U-Box to no avail (and only on the 3rd attempt to access it was I helped by a store associate). This is BY FAR the most horrible customer service I have ever received. It was stressful, emotionally taxing, exhausting, and frankly so so so aggravating. I will never use a U-Box again.Jordan C.

So. First I go there and it takes over 15 minutes to get a checked in (there’s only one guy ahead of me). That’s not that big of deal, and then everything went down hill from there. I was expecting a bigger storage unit and I expressed that as I saw what I received. Didn’t really try ans help me find a bigger one. And THEN the doors wouldn’t open. The WHOLE time I was unloading my Uhaul full of stuff. The employee never came back to check on me and was like “idk I guess they’re broken”?? Like what?? How unsafe also it took so long to take all my stuff out since I had to wedge the emergency door open! Super unsafe and I highly do NOT recommendJasmine J. | First Impressions

I ordered 12 furniture blankets and only got 6 on the truck. There was a hand truck included in the back, but I didn't ask for it. Overall, it was an okay transaction. On a side note, there are several UHaul agents in areas that would have been closer, but for some reason I had to pick up the truck miles away instead. What is the point of having these stores on your lists if they don't offer the trucks needed for customers? I just don't understand that logic.EMANUEL R.

Tow dolly was released to customer with severe damage on tire strap. Strap was more than 75% severed. This added an additional 20 miles to get back to the location. I was told that mileage would be deducted from the total. At the end of my return. I was charged extra fir going over on miles.Reece L.

Thousands of dollars worth of items ruined at some point out box was left outside in what one can assume was pouring rain judging by the amount of water inside the box causing it to mold a ruin out items. The workers there are amazing; both days there were only two and boy did they hustle! The line both days was door to door but they got everyone taken care of. With that said, an extra person on the end/beginning of the month might make it less stressful for the workers and faster for the customers. My favorite Uhaul store!TARA P.

UHaul seems to be struggling with demand so hire more customer service folks in RI. By the end, I had the impression UHaul was doing ME a favor. The evening return is a great idea but did not work with iOS Safari or Firefox. Should be Google only.Sean S.

Make sure the RR tire does not leak. Had the tuck less than a day and a half and had to add air several times. I spent $8.00 just adding air. I had to to drive out of my way each time. It added a lot of time to my move and increased my rental exspense.I would appreciate compensation. Make sure tire is repaired or replaced for next person.SHAUN G.

I want to give a huge shout out to Moragn Amador at this location. She was spectacular when assisting us with the move in and day prior to moving out. Very attentive to my needs and did not suffocate me with loads of products/services that would’ve costs lots of money. I had a bit of a weird experience with the issue in using the dumpsters at the property. I used the night I moved out and was charged $40 for it. At no point did someone from the company state that the dumpsters were off limits to renters. Mind you, someone came up to us at the trash and even wished us a good night. If that was the case, why weren’t we addressed then? We would’ve immediately went elsewhere had we known prior to emptying out the unit and throwing them there, we would’ve went elsewhere.Martha O. | Overall Experience

There was an issue with the electronic entrance to my unit for the first 2 months of our experience, which meant I could not access the unit after 7pm, which did not adhere to the posted schedule I had signed up for. I brought it to the attention of management and they said they were working on fixing it & apologized for the inconvenience. But upon asking for some sort of bill reduction, I was told they’d have to ask the facility head. Ivory ever got back to me & I was given the runaround a few times. That’s not right. Not giving me access at times outside my personal work hours really resulted in a terrible experience. Additionally, I showed up 10 minutes before the office closed one night & asked the staff member in duty if he could help me get into my unit as my card wasn’t working. He said he couldn’t because he was closing up. Again, awful customer service & completely inappropriate foe the staff member to value their closing over a customers needs while they were still open. While the door issue was eventually fixed, it was too little too late. We’ve since moved to another facility in the area & are having a much better experience. The staff at the East Providence, RI location are excellent, providing excellent customer service. Dawn went above and beyond to help me when I arrived it was noted that the call and reservation center did not send my storage rental information to them so they could get my ubox out of storage so I could have it transferred to a storage unit. They also gave me wrong information about what a split level unit is; luckily once again Dawn at the site location saved me from climbing stairs to get to a unit. Very unprofessional of UHAUL Call Center! If not for Dawn who went out of her way to get my ubox out from being buried among other uboxes, I would have been out $200 for the movers I had arranged. Thank you Dawn!!! As for the UHAUL Call & Reservation Center HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The storage facility at East Providence is clean but two things I didn't like: 1. street level storage units have very low ceilings, smell damp and there is no lights so the units are dark. 2. there is no elevator for above street level storage or split levels which is ridiculous!! don't know about lighting because I didn't look at those units.janet t. | Overall Experience
