The staff are INCREDIBLY rude! I was following the instructions for the self-return and they were trying to tell me to do things differently. They need to be reprimanded. I've also seen online reviews stating these men are super rude to people. You need to hire better workers that actually care about people.Patrick R.
I have rented from this location many times and have always been satisfied but this time I had issues. The van I rented was not available even though I reserved it 2 weeks before. I ended up with a 15 foot truck that sounded like a jet taking off. The brakes were terrible, the transmission was not good, and worst of all the steering was the worse I have ever had. Experience was great except for one thing. The guy that helped me hook up the trailer to my hitch was set to let me drive off with the hitch ball NOT properly seated in the tongue of the trailer. The latch was raised so I looked at the ball from underneath to see if it was properly seated. It was not and I pointed it out. At first, he tried to tell me if was good to go, but I showed him the latch that was raised. He lifted the latch and the trailer settled into position. I shudder to think what would have happened if I'd taken his word for it. Luckily, I have a bit of experience towing so I knew what to look for. I'm sure many of your customers don't have much experience and would need to trust the "expertise" of your agents.JEREMY M.

The main guy in charge has no customer service skills. He almost seems annoyed that he's having to help people. He wasn't rude exactly; he just wasn't friendly. Also, when I returned my U-Haul trailer, I arrived at 7:20 AM. A worker helped me turn it in, and checked my receipt. The guy in charge wasn't there yet and the U-Haul building wasn't even unlocked. But the worker told me not to worry and that I would be refunded some money for returning the trailer early (before 11:00). But when I called back to check on the refund, the phone went to the national reservation number. And then they told me that I would not be getting any refund. When I tried to tell them what the local worker told me, they just told me the local worker was wrong and that I could talk to national customer service number. And when they transferred me to the national customer service number, I was told the wait would be 30+ minutes. So I hung up.GREGORY G.
Contact customers when you change online orders. I ordered a truck for pickup at 7am, and without being contacted, the pickup time was changed to 9:15am. The app would not allow me to pick up the truck as it said it would, so I had to push my move by 2 hours with no notice.PHILLIP M.

My fathers truck caught on fire in Edmond,OK on 8/25/21. We had issues with his ins. co and were trying to figure out what to do moving forward. Kathy Knight at Uhaul in Aberdeen SD was called because my father knew her personally from living in that area. Kathy called headquarters and got us in touch with a location on Edmond, OK. to call and had notes in the system for us. She did more for us initially than his ins. co. When I called I spoke to Keith Marshall in the Edmond, OK. location, and he was GREAT!! We had no way of getting the UHaul to our hotel. Keith delivered the truck, removed the trailer from my dads totaled truck and connected the truck to the Uhaul trailer. In a very hard time for my father and I he was so kind and went out of his way to do what he could for us without us asking. I got charge for 2 gallons of gas, and when I drop off the truck I took a picture, and the fuel tank indicator was exactly where it was when I received it. The person that received the truck should checks the fuel tank level at the drop off time and indicate the customer the additional charge, not wait until the customer leaves to charge whatever they want.Carolina C.

I was put in a bad situation by uhaul. I rented a 17' truck because I had to pickup some 16' long material. I didn't realize until I was there to pickup the material that 17' measurement included the part that extended over the cab. The majority of the truck was only about 14'. It was okay. Definitely not above average. I paid to have them put my car up on the tow trailer and I feel as though they did the bare minimum. They instructed me to back up the U-Haul with the tow trailer which I found incredibly difficult since I have no idea how to back up a trailer. I had to drive around the block so I could pull straight through instead of backing up. Also they had my mother-in-law drive her vehicle up the tow trailer ramps. That went smoothly however when I went to drop off the trailer and had to drive the vehicle down the tow trailer ramps the tires were crooked. Which made getting off of the tow trailer scary. I feel as though that could have been avoided if they had loaded the vehicle like I paid for. Plus when I went to go and drop off the U-Haul the receiving location was somewhat taking it back by the fact that there was only one chain holding my vehicle onto the tow trailer. Which I really didn't think nothing of at the time of insulation. I assumed that the U-Haul personnel knew what they were doing but when I dropped it off and found out that that using only one chain is unusual it certainly concerned me. Luckily my vehicle got to my new location unharmed. Plus after he hooked up the lights to the towing trailer he told me that I was good to go and I had to ask him if he wanted to check and make sure the lights worked first and then he was like yeah go ahead and turn on your hazards but only after I asked him to make sure they were working. I've rented U-Hauls before and every other location has always checked to make sure that my lights were working after they got hooked up except this location. Also I got a 20 ft U-Haul for my two bedroom apartment thinking that it would be plenty of space since you advertise a 20-foot U-Haul is sufficient for a three-bedroom apartment. However all of my belongings did not fit so I had to go back and rent a cargo van to finish my move I found this incredibly frustrating I voiced my frustration and really I got no response other than quoting me prices for the cargo van. I just really felt as though they just wanted to do their job and make their paycheck which is fine but that's why my experience was average. Yes I was able to conduct my business at this U-Haul location however I felt that the customer service aspect was lacking.CHRISTINA W.

I'm 33 and this was the worst interaction I've ever had with a business. Absolute zero respect right off the bat. I walked in. No one was in the store so I just Waited by the door inside. Nbd. Guy walks in says nothing. Gets past me and yells. â€œReservationâ€. I said yes I have a reservation. â€œNameâ€. I said my name. He did something on the computer. â€œWant insuranceâ€. I said how much is it. He sighed and said what it cost with the most annoyed speaking tone. He then scribbled some stuff on the paper and said nothing else basically throwing the keys at me.
