Everything was great from the customer service to the vehicle itself. It drive beautiful. Although,this was not the location I originally reserved from. The Cypress location did NOT leave key's in the lock box for me for the vehicle I ordered, so therefore, I called U-Haul and they sent me to the college point address. Because college point was out of my way, U-Haul gave me a credit for the extra milage I wasn't expecting, which was really nice and the representative that took care of me on the phone was really nice and took care of the situation very professional. The 1st location was at whippers point blvd in Whitestone I ve scheduled an appointment to get the car at 530pm. I arrived at 510 and a person at the gas station told me that the associate for uhall left and I can't pick it up!! I had the pleasure of dealing with both Donielle Vassell who not only understood my issue with the first rental that I was given previously by her colleague Jeffrey Taub. She went beyond what I was hoping to get and for that Ian truly grateful. As for Mr. Jeffrey Taub, his customer service skills are deplorable. I originally asked him for a vehicle that had a backup camera, and rather than listen or even make an effort to obtain one for me, he just choose the first vehicle he could. The van was an older model had a high mileage and no camera. Had the vehicle a camera i would not have minded using it, but like his service the vehicle was in need of an upgrade. I thank Ms. Vassell for her understanding and her initiative in having me obtain a much newer vehicle that had my original request.Carlos G.

Cashier isn't friendly enough compared with my previously visit. I know fill out in person much faster and easier compared I'm doing myself online with lack of my internet data. No option was offered such as different sizes of truck when my reserved truck size isn't available. I have to run in and out for no reason, I'm glad you have great staff outside who spoke Chinese. Next time be more aware of the gas in the trucks. Even after I did the inspection I told the guys checking out the truck that it was less than stated on the contract. If I didn't take the picture, I would've been charged a lot more for gas.frank M.

The truck was not in good condition, it requires maintenance. The truck seems to be needing high speed wheel balancing or an alignment because it pulls to the side. My driving experience was horribleGREGORY W.

Nothing. The location is a great running location due to the manager (Andre Long) being a hands on manager and great example to his team members. I have never seen a manager prepping parking lot surface for new black top paving or cleaning out box trucks personally. Everyone at that location is very professional and helpful. They gave the truck I was supposed to get to someone who "Found the truck" - I was not advised to "find the truck". They gave me a piece of crap truck in which the exhaust fumes were overwhelming and the odometer did not work. It was a plain white banged up truck without even a U-Haul logo on it, Glad I took a picture of the odometer and gas gauge when I got in the truck When I returned it they tried to get me for gas money even though I had to put $20 in it when I got it to be sure I did not run out of gas.Angela S.
The Storage units need to be improved. The floors are terrible. My stuff kept falling off of carts because the floors are so bumpy and old. The storage units look nothing like described online either. They are wooden doors that look like someone made in a garage in an afternoon with ply wood.Austin Z.

Eddie the employee that takes the returns is a rude, unprofessional, schemer. I told him not to close out the contract, as per the representative inside behind the counter and he ends up opening up my trunk, takes a picture, goes inside and tells Andre that the truck isn't cleaned and closes the contract, and charged me $25. There was only a few strings on the floor and I was going to clean it and when I spoke to Andre and explained it to him, he didn't care. He pulled up the picture and I explained I wasn't returning the truck yet. The representative told me I had until 5pm. Disgusting treatment and what's just as worse is that you don't have any customer service number to call because you never answer the phone. I'm on hold for almost an hour. I would like my $25 credit immediately or I will contact my credit card company to dispute it because I wasn't ready to return the truck and I even told Eddie, the rude and disrespectful horrible worker that thinks he's doing a good Job for UHaul but meanwhile he's hurting you guys, and so is Andre.ANTONIO R.

It appears as if all the trucks are not well maintained. The floor of the driver and passenger sides had a layer of oil or something that made the floor extremely slippery. When returning the vehicle, i overheard another customer returning a vehicle complaining over the same slippery floor. Secondly, i honestly thought the truck felt like it was going to breakdown any minute. The entire truck was squeaking and squealing that sounded as if the truck was whining as i drove the truck. Thirdly, the alignment kf the truck was a wacky. I had to drive just below the speed limit because i could barely keep the truck in a straight line. If i maintained the steering wheel straight, the truck would veer off to the right, and then when i would correct it, then the steering of the truck would over steer to the left. Going past 40mph in the bumpy streets of nyc made it feel really dangerous. Either fix the damn trucks, if not get rid of them. I told the guy of these complaints and he said â€œyeah these trucks are a bit oldâ€.Oscar D.
the app did not work for return; i tried three different phones - nothing worked; called customer service for two hours - finally told that i would not be charged the after-hours fee; the next day, the location said i turned the truck in late (9:30am - impossible) -- so they charged me an extra day AND charged the after hours fee -- how in the world can you leave something after hours (the day before) be charged for that and then keep something late?Ian H.

Andre was great the storage room not great it was dark , even smaller than the one displayed, dirty, smelled like mildew, the young Asian guy was nice to me until I declined the storage room then he was rude and not helpful plus he did not know the floor to go to then I told him it’s one floor below and the sad part was there wasn’t enough staff and the manager was the reason why I was interested at first because of his knowledge, understanding, patience, excellent customer service It’s just the store needs a make over and the storage facility or put Andre into a new store in a higher traffic location he is an asset to any company especially U-haul. I have been a uhaul customer fir many years, this facility was horrible. Our belongings were destroyed by water damage, mold and mildew destroyed our storage boxes and possessions. It was disgraceful!! The precious valuables were things treasured from years, decades ago and no value could be put on them. We will never get those pictures, diplomas and various other treasures our family saved. Shame on uhaul and their flushing facility and employees.
