I was not informed that I was supposed to bring back the vehicle that I purchased for U-Haul for only three hours to the spot that I ruined it rented it from so in return I got added on two extra days and I was charge or my elderly grandmother was charged over $300 for a van rental that we only need it for four hours just because I wasn't informed by the salesman who was unprofessional not clean shaving andSlouchy without his shirt tucked in I have been to more places where each each person that work there was roughly and not dressed well and did their appearance look like they were not employees of U-Haul but yet people who live in the streetsJOSEPH T.

Exterior of truck looked rough. Check engine light on, but was told nothing was wrong with it. Interior windshield had not been washed so when sun was glaring it was hard to see. They forgot blankets and I had to go back. I had to ask for the blankets to be credited for my trouble. Of course I paid for more in gas and miles than the credit! Originally scheduled pick up time for 7am, notified day before that earliest I could get it was 11am. And actually I was even notified, I just happened to catch the time change on my check in email. I Called customer service and tried on line chat to get sorted out and was on hold for over an hour before giving up. The morning of my move the staff at the store was helpful and got me my truck by 930 am. However, I Still lost my $100 security deposit on the movers I hired for 8:30 am and uhaul completely ruined and made my moving day significantly more stressful. I will not be using or recommending uhaul to anyone in the future.Emily S.

I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone. I would actually encourage people to use anyone but Uhaul. The original pickup reservation got changed the day before I picked up the Uhaul to a location 30 miles away from my house which was about 1 hour driving EACH direction when dealing with traffic. When I told the customer service rep this was extremely inconvenient was there anything else they could do, her response was, â€œI can cancel the reservation.â€ When I picked up the truck they marked the gas tank at 1/4 full. When I got into it it was at 1/8 full. They would not change the original documents saying this meaning I was responsible for the additional 1/8 tank of gas upon return. The tanks are 60 gallons and they get 6 miles per gallon. When pulling a dolly you can't just stop at any gas station especially in the middle of the city making me very close to running out of fuel. Upon returning the truck the truck I come to find out I went over on mileage. The additional mileage I had to drive to pickup the truck was not added into the contract. Uhaul is extremely good at nickel and diming you until you end up paying an additional 25% more than the original contract. Moral of the story, use any other moving company truck than Uhaul.LUCAS S.

It took two employees to drive the truck around and they did not wipe/sanitize the truck. Also, they stated they did nit want to clock in and did not want to work that day. The employee checking us in seemed to be overwhelmed with the lack of support from the other employees not doing their job or not wanting to work. Definitely not team players.....Rex H.

Your drop off is terrible. I had trouble sharing my location and was unable to check in my uhaul through email. I tried calling your 800 number and bald over 40 minutes with no answer: i pray that you haven't added fees this morning. The uhaul was dropped off 3 hours before my return time. I also didn't like the in person service when initially picking up the uhaul. The customer care rep obviously just returned from lunch and she belched and burped the entire time she went over the rental agreement! Not good at all!CAMILLE S.

Do not report an untruth. When I read the emailed receipt after returning the cleaned out, and refueled 20ft truck, I noticed the $25 cleaning fee had been added in. I was convinced that it was an oversight. I called the store at East New Circle Road in Lexington, Ky. The young lady, who answered the phone, said that it was reported that I was observed smoking in the truck. WRONG !!! As a 55yr old female, I have never smoked, nor was I observed smoking in the rented truck. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed in the conversation. I trust that my concern will be taken care of and the GM calls me backREBECCA M.

I have to ratings My pick up and my drop off My pick up was friendly, maybe not the ideal uhaul, but I would still go back My drop off in Lexington was the worse, after I stored my load, I drove back toward the office where I saw I guy sitting and I asked do I turn it in here,, now my car was still attached to dolly, and he said drop off is here you have to go all the way around the building to here, so I did, when I got out and he was still sitting down, took him 5 mins to get up and come over to me. He then said are you going to unload your car here, you could have did it there and pointed to where I asked him if this was the drop off, so now I'm getting upset, so I said, I asked you when I was there, we are all standing there, finally I said when are you going to take the car off the dolly or do you want me to move the truck again? He said that isn't my job it your job, no it isn't I didn't put it on I'm not taking it off, that's your job. So now he is loud and I'm loud, the other guy that was there said I'm getting the manager, so she comes and takes the side of her crew and said did you pay to have it taken off. You didn't even asked what happened the the rudeness of you employees. Again I didn't put the car on and I will not take it off! So she said she was calling the cops, ok call them they are going to make you take the car off the dolly, I then called customer service and complain and going to call the other number she gave me and complain to corporate. So while I'm on the cell with customer service they unhook the car half way and tell me to take it off their dolly and leave property. Now my biggest problem is about to happen. I get into the car and try to drive it off and your professional uhaul employees didn't unhook my car and my car was damaged by the dolly being still attached to my car. there needs to be a map of the facility on the outside. i didn't know where my unit was, because the inside units are labeled (the outside of the building didn't have any identifying marks) so i had to go back and ask for help re: which building??? only to come back AGAIN. because there was a lock on the unit. the rep advised me that locks are kept on the empty units. ok cool. but they already saw me, the same day, to purchase a unit. they saw me when i had to come back to ask where the unit was. and then a 3rd time to ask to unlock it. plus with the restrictions they stated that only ONE customer can be in the store at a time. i had to wait a very long time each time just to go in there to ask these questions. i did attempt to contact the 800 number. but the only thing they could do was tell me someone would call me back. which never happened.Tamar S. | Overall Experience
There was 1 customer at a time in the store. I completely understand this is the new norm. But, that meant 1 person would take on average 10 mins to be served. Once, I got my storage unit there was on outside map to figure out where to find my unit. For all units inside....there's no way to find it besides asking. So, I had to go back and wait in line & they told me it was attached to the building. Again the garage like door was closed. Why not open it when they knew I was going to be moving? Finally got the garage like door open. Ok, now there's a padlock on the unit. Had to go back and wait in line to have them remove the padlock.
