we were redirected to this location and it seems everyone else was too. The wait to get our truck was nearly 45 minutes. We did check in online the day before. The gentleman working the desk was awesome. I wish I could remeber his name. African American , longer hair stocky build. Great customer service and moved quickly. What I don't like about UHaul is the redirecting to locations that are a longer drive and then it creates back log...need to find a better way of getting people to drop theirs trucks off at the other loactions or have someone move trucks aroundJulie A.

Reservation #23886260 I actually showed up a day early for my reservation and I told the cashier that I could cancel / change my reservation he said no it would be okay, It was 11:45 and he said that since my original reservation was for 9 it would be due by 9 tomorrow. I told him I needed it for 24 hours and again I said I could cancel / change my reservation he said no it would be okay and 11:45 tomorrow would be fine. The next morning I was on way to return my trailer and noticed the return by 7:00am on the contract. I called uhaul and told me return time was 11:30. Returned trailer to the store got charge for 2 days. Called the manager said it would be taken care of and it wasn't Now I need to drive over again and figure it out. This has to be one of the worst uhaul branches in lexington.Paul N.
1. Have more than 1 persons checking people in I sat in line for a hour just to rent a trailer. 2. Update online return I tried to do a online return after renting a trailer and it wanted me to put in how much gas it had and to take a picture of the dashboard it's a trailer it don't have these things 3. I called the 24 hour number to get help returning the trailer they said the noted my account and the store would check the trailer in first thing in the morning when I called the store at 130ish pm they didn't even know the trailer was on there propertyDustin W.

We reserved a van for the day with a scheduled 9am pick up. We were slightly late for the pick-up and the rental started at 9:30. We returned slightly after 5pm and the location was open until 7pm. We were charged for a 2 day rental due to the rental starting at the scheduled 9am time versus the "out" time of 9:30. I did not realize the scheduled time was a "hard" reservation and don't agree with it. I don't think I should have been charged for a second day. The location had plenty of vans in stock. The location is clean, equipment in good order and staff professional. I just don't agree with the way my bill was calculated and don't believe it was fair.Douglas H.

No one there to check in truck. 4 other trucks at check in point. Someone yelled from across the lot to leave keys in truck and I was good to goSteve B.
Extremely unprofessional. The person who handled my rental paper work was eating a breakfast sandwich while handling paper work with bare hands without using hand sanitizer. Told us that they didn't have a dolly or furniture blankets even though we rented them a week in advance. He informed us that its first Come first serve and renting in advance doesn't guarantee them. Then he told us we can just buy one from their store. We were extremely frustrated because we already lost an hour due to our initial rental location not having a truck for us, that's why we had to drive further to come to this location. When we voiced our frustration, they said there will call the police and kicked my friend out of the store. When my friend was outside, another employee followed him out, apologized and said his colleague lied and that they do have dollies and brought him two dollies. This was the worst experience I've ever had with any customer service place and I will never do business in this location or with uhaul for that matter. Due to them not having the truck they guaranteed for us was not at the location, we lost one hour with our movers (that we paid 100 dollars and hour per mover /we had two movers waiting), added extra 10 miles on the rental truck because we had to drive further to get to e new circle location to pick up another truck. This was a huge mess. I lost time, money and was treated so poorly, I was mortified.Kyle L.

The truck was the worst I ever rented. Bad vibration at 70 miles an hour. No windshield wipers. Empty for gas and the truck was filthyRobert R.
Location was OK, but not where I signed up to pick up my truck. I missed the phone call and email, and was checking my account for updates. As of the morning of pickup, it still showed the original location, and that did not change until I arrived for pickup. When I got to New Circle U-Haul, the dolly was not on the truck (no biggie, corrected). I saw blankets in a bag, but when I started loading, I found only three of the twelve that I had paid for.Richard E.

When I got into the u-haul, a dashboard light came on telling me the front left tire was low on air and needed to be serviced. I didn't want to be responsible for that or blamed for that. I went back into the store and told the employee who rented me the U-Haul about it. I told him I'd prefer another U-Haul. He said it would be fine and to just use that One. I had a concern about the tire completely flattening and getting stranded roadside. But luckily I was able to use the truck and return it without blowing a tire. Still wondering if I'm going to be blamed for the low tire. Guess we'll find out. Perhaps don't send your clients out with U-Hauls that have low tire pressure and dashboard lights that indicate it needs serviced.Whitney T.

I requested the Rental Pickup location in the city where the rental vehicle was needed (Winchester KY). However, the requested rental pick-up location (Winchester KY) was changed (last minute by U-Haul) to a different U-Haul store (Lexington KY (approx 19 miles away from the requested rental location)). The change required I drive the U-Haul vehicle an additional 38 miles to get the vehicle where it was needed. The inconsiderate change added additional mileage charge making the rental usage more costly. I was not pleased.William L.
Train the staff to better follow the "no contact" app service. I was asked to move the vehicle after following the check-in process via the app. I do not believe I was legally entitled to drive the vehicle after the check-in was processed through the app so I refused.Aaron B.

Truck windshield was covered in bug splatter. The refused to clean the and was very rude saying they only clean the outside and do not get paid to clean the windshield. The woman who checked us out at the counter was a DELIGHT. She was so helpful, flexible, and kind. I wish I knew her name but she was working at 9am at the New Circle Road location. She made the experience very enjoyable and pleasant even though it was a stressful time!Thomas A.
The truck was clean, but had a broken side mirror, the passenger mirror could not be adjusted and offered no benefit. Less than a mile from the location I parked the truck, noticed the front tire looked low, had a nail in it. Had to wait 2 hours for repair. I found it to be of poor service when others would come in while I picked up and dropped off my equipment that when someone would enter location looking for equipment they were told "No we don't have any, you need to call 800 Go U Haul and see if they can find something."Russell M.

First, hated the constant upsell on the website. We just wanted a van, but before you can check out you have to keep saying "no" to all the extras U-Haul tries to pile on - packing supplies, moving help, etc. You can't just go to the cart, you have to wade through all the offers, some of which U-Haul puts into your cart and you have to cancel out of. Second, the van got about 5 miles to the gallon - which is a great way for U-Haul to get lots of extra money if you don't refill the truck. We would not rent a fan from U-Haul again. "$19.95" turned into over $50 when all was said and done.Patrick A.

Actually, be in the back when returning equipment during the business hours or replace the dang sign with one that lists the correct procedures to return the equipment. Answer the phone when someone calls the local number for someone to come back to check in the equipment. When you allow your local customers to be sent to the national so-called customer service department, the return telephone call that is promised in 10-15 minutes per the BOT who answers the telephone doesn't happen for more than 1.5 hours. Why submit your local customers to this lack of service?Chriss L.

Multiple issues. Truck sounded like it was going to die. Truck was on empty when I got it. Truck did not run well. The company called me to say I never picked up the Truck. I had to take several calls to explain I had. When I returned it no one came to get the Truck so I had to find someone to give them the keys. Went up front to make sure everything was squared away. Got a call the day after that they never checked the Truck in and it was Mia. People working there are probably trying their best but they act stupid and incompetent! the experience was terrible and would chose a different location before going here again. I uploaded my id to save time at the counter per Uhaul site and still had to present ID to them at the counter. Then I returned the vehicle an hour early and two hours later I got a phone call from counter guy wanting to know when I was going to bring back Van!! He said he looked and couldn't find it. I reserved a Uhaul on a Wednesday and received an email confirmation saying I would get a phone call Thursday to confirm. After no call received Thursday, I called Friday and was told that location would not work and was given a new location. On Saturday I went to the new location but the previous customer hadn't returned the truck. I called Customer Service (CS) and was rerouted to another location with a bigger truck for no extra charge. I got to that location and was told the big truck had just been returned and required maintenance before it would be approved to leave. I called CA again and was rerouted to the New Circle location. I had been sent to 4 different locations before I was given a Uhaul even though I reserved a rental and confirmed it in the days prior. This had me driving all over town and adding to the stress of moving. When I got to the 4th location they debated even to let me take it because they had another person who specifically scheduled for that location and I was only rerouted by the CS office. The communication of the staff was not great about which Uhaul in the lot I should even take. I also spoke with the manager on-site about requesting a credit because I had been sent to so many locations and she said â€œthat was wasn't my fault. You need to talk to the main office since they did thatâ€. At this point I should have had the Uhaul an hour prior and didn't want to argue. I left with the truck, flustered and in a hurry because my moving team had been waiting on me. Uhaul also had taken the hour of me locating a truck out of my original reservation time, only giving me 3 hours with the truck instead of 4. I rushed around town to load and unload as planned and managed to get the truck back after 3hrs and 10 min to be as respectful as I could to their times but completing my need as well. This location claimed I brought the truck back with less gas even though the needle was almost exactly where it was when I left. They also recorded me bring it back over an hour later than I actually did. They tried to charge me a 2 day rental fee. And there was no communication from the staff when I returned. I am very frustrated and disappointed over how this has been handled so far. I am working with another manager and hoping to receive a call in the coming days to discuss correcting my original bill and the poor service I received. This means my 1 day stressful move is extended to multiple days because of clerical errors and staff who do not care about the customer.Stefan S.
The vehicle was a piece of junk. Alignment was completely off. The gas gauge never did indicate completely full only 1/2 tank. Excessive fuel usage. Tremendous anoint of vibration in vehicles there was no pick-up . Original agent was high on drugs. Should get refund of at least 1/2 cost for complete inconvenience.John S.
I had a problem with the counter person marking the check sheet fuel as higher than it actually was and saying they'd charge me X amount of dollars per gallon if I brought it back below that mark. Checking into the unit was fine. Poor guys computer went down halfway through and I was almost charged for the unit when it was supposed to be free but it was his first time checking in a storage unit so I understand. It was afterwards that the problems started. Due to work it was a couple days before we could put stuff in the unit. We get there and there's a lock on the unit. We go to the office and turns out one of the employees had rented it to someone else in the couple days before we unloaded. After much confusion they tell us "sorry a new employee we've had since NOVEMBER has been doing this to people and she was fired yesterday." If she'd been there since November then she's not "new." So they rested us another unit that was NOT indoor (which we were supposed to have) after making the comment of "because we were upset they almost didn't want to rent us a unit" and trying to say we owed them because it was a bigger unit than the original one. Then as we unloaded the employees kept driving by and parking and sitting in their personal cars watching us as we unloaded. Needless to say we DID NOT use the lock they gave us and we put 2 locks on the unit. We also drove by the unit almost every night to make sure it was secure. After 2 weeks they call and tell us we can't have 2 locks on our unit because it was in our contract and if we were ever delinquent they had to be able to put their lock on the unit. We told them ok we will be moving out in a couple days anyway so we'll take care of it then (this was on 3/28 and our payment wouldn't have been due until 4/12 and we're living outside of Lexington). They said that wasn't good enough and we had to take one off that day or they would cut one off. I understand if it was in our contract (I have not double checked that) but to be honest if you can cut one off what's the big deal anyway? So we had to rent another UHaul (which we wouldn't have had to do otherwise and we DID NOT rent from this location) to clear out the unit because these people had acted suspiciously when we were unloading. We were clearing it out after office hours and again the employees were driving by and parking and sitting in their personal cars watching us load everything and then they followed us halfway home after we left before making a u turn and leaving. My unit was broken into by an employee that was recently hired because there was no way access to the unit could have been granted by anyone else. My lock was cut off and the locking mechanism on the door was damaged. I had to buy a new lock because the staff would not provide one for me. The staff was unprofessional at best. Children and friends of staff would be at the front of the service desk. It was hard to find staff at times. Long wait times in line. No communication when my storage locker was broken into. I still don't know what my access code to the unit is.
