Your company sucks, 2 hrs before my pick up they cancel a reservation 1 miles away and send me a hour round trip out of my way. Causing me added, fuel, milage and certainly inconvenience, and a course they say it will never happen again, with 6 more reservations, I am debating going somewhere else, they did give me a 50.00 credit. Initially the agent refused to rent out the van and kept saying that he does not have one. Only after 30 minutes he agreed to rent me one. This is absolutely not what uhaul labels as reservation guaranteed. Vehicles was dirty and gas was way below what was marked on the agreement.Azeddine T.

The truck is old with 152,000+ miles on it. While maintained, there were a couple of noteworthy concerns. Firstly, the exhaust was thumping louder than the base stereo speakers on a v'room box car. My wife only rode with noise cancelling headphones on. Secondly the dashboard lights did not work making it impossible to see the speedometer at night. The AC works, the stereo mostly works but could not drown out the exhaust noise. The motor and drive were completely functional so it's not as if the truck is a total loss.Carlos M.

I reserved 20 ft truck for a one way rental to be picked up at a specific location, about 2 weeks in advance and was given a confirmation number. On the night before I was to pick it up I received a call that a 20 ft truck was not available and I would be given a 26ft for same price but I would have pick it up at another location. I went to the location and after seeing the 26ft truck I explained that the truck was too big for the street I was moving to and I would have to block most of the street to utilize the ramp. I was told they didn't have a 20ft truck and there was nothing they could do. Back at the original pick up location where they had several 20ft trucks I was told they were not available for one way rental. they made a phone call to someone who said they found me a 20ft truck for oneway but again I had to go to yet another location which was about 40 or 50 miles away so I started this move about 100 miles in the hole without putting 1 box on the truck. It was a horrible experience. When renting a truck for a one way 800 mile trip, the windshield should be cleaned and wiper blades should be checked, they needed replacement.Jose F.

The guy who helped me answered all my questions politely and was very patient. My appointment set by uhaul was for 7 and the store closes at 7 yet the employee there stayed booking my reservation with a great attitude. I've rented before, this employee made the experience awesome. Due to the employee I tried to rent a storage here as well, but you're sold out. The employees name was Joaquin Riles. I figured out it was because he changed the location but only after telling me it would be the same price but he wasn't aware that wasn't true. My original reservation was for 9am. After being given the run around and having to be placed on hold 2 for over an hour each time I finally got a vehicle at 2pm. The vehicle that was available was a size smaller than I needed. When I came back to return the truck, my car was boxed in by other trucks. Truck was old and clunky but this was not the biggest of issues. I had booked a location nearer to my home much in advance, but Uhaul arbitrarily changed it to a very far off location just a couple of days before the move! They gave lame excuses to explain the change, but I can sense that this was done deliberately to force additional miles to add to the bottom line which shows lack of integrity. Besides, after going through all the trouble, I was 20 minutes late in returning the vehicle for the 24 hours period (again because of this last minute change in pickup/drop off location to a far off place!), and Uhaul charged me double for everything on the ebill after I had already returned the truck! They did not even bother to tell me when returning the truck about this, in which case I would have used the truck again today! It's a shame that a company that revolutionized DIY moves is lacking integrity to keep customers loyal. That's it for my business to Uhaul!Suraj A.

The Dan guy I met literally told me of I wish to keep using uhaul is my Choice. Never have I been so spoken to in a condescending manner. I only went there to get a better clarification of a charge. But he never was helpful. I had to call custom service who better explained to me why I was charged with a different higher rate. I rather drive far to rent uhal than use Howlane location anymore. And then the customer service when she listened to my story, realized I only wanted clarification. I never went there angry or yelling, I just wanted clarification on the bill.Imaria F.

The assistant store manager cursed at me and was wildly unprofessional when I called to say my move was taking a bit longer because of the heat and an injury to one of the movers. He then proceeded to hang up on me and when I called back numerous times to talk they wouldn't pick up. Then they randomly overcharged my card that was not part of my contract. I am unsure if my issue was a fault with this location or with the UHaul website, but I was supposed to be able to pick up my rental before the store opened and then key lockbox was never set up. The customer service line said it was just not done by the location, the manager at the office said it wasn't in the system. I had confirmation that it would be ready to go. Finding out that I would be at least an hour behind schedule when I had people waiting to help me was a really unfortunate way to start my moving day. I'm just lucky the store opened 1 hour later and it didn't keep me from having the rental for the whole day. Improvement could be made to check the following days' rentals before closing and if one is listed as being a 24-7 and is outside business hours, call the customer ahead to finish the setup if it isn't already done so there isn't an issue while the store is closed.John F.
Don't move my location 2 times then claim I clicked a button saying I accept that there is no availability when I DID NOT CLICK ANY SUCH BUTTON. Representative lied about lowering miles expense down to 99 cents a mile instead of 2 dollars because I was moved three times as far and was CHARGED for the miles I was moved away, I will be using ANY other truck rental company the next time I need a truck and will NEVER be using U-Haul again due to this experience.Joseph S.
This office help me after a very disappointing experience at Princeton airport location when i came to pic up my truck and they don't leave the key ,i try call this location multiple times during the morning before pic up time , even leave a message asking to call me back ,they never did. I could NEVER get through to a person any time I called. The only options were see store hours and directions which took me to a recording, and all other inquiries, which took me to the entire UHAUL company’s customer service. No way to get through to a person. So nobody I could talk to when our storage price increased DURING COVID might I add. The manager of this facility is incredibly helpful and prompt to respond to inquiries, so she is absolutely an asset. When we moved in and complained about the facility's dirty carpet that made the building smell terribly, she worked to have it removed, and we were very thankful for her effort. This change did help with the smell. The facility was, however, still not as clean as other Uhaul storage facilities that we've utilized in the past. During our move-out, we found a dead mouse and mouse feces in our unit. When we told the Uhaul representative at check-out, he made no response, so I suspect that the dead mouse wasn't exceptional for the facility. I stored my items here fpr 5 years while my daughter and i were in shelter due to her medical issues. She has a heart and lung condition and many times i almost lost our stuff due to not being able to pay. Sherri would never work it out with me or let me pay in increments. She didn't even try to help, yet every 2 months I got a letter saying my rent was increasing FOR NO REASON. I wouldn't recommend this place if it were the last place on earth. Greedy people who don't care about you! Plus EVERY single bag and box had been run through by mice. I had to throw out 75% of mine and my daughters belongings.
