I rented a 4' x 7' utility trailer to move a load that required a 42â€ dresser to fit across the trailer. Unfortunately, the purported 48â€ width was only 38 3/4â€ wide - a 24% overstatement!! That seems like false advertising to me! I had to spend 2 hours of my busy moving day exchanging the trailer for a 5' (actually 4' 5â€) wide trailer. Luckily the location had one available. The tailgate on that trailer wouldn't close properly. U-Haul should not misrepresent its products! If I need a 4' or a 5' INTERIOR space I need to be able to rely on the description to choose an appropriate product!Morton W.
Honestly the app was horrible and this location is just in a bad service area. Wi-Fi would really make it easier to have a good connection for self checkout. The employees though really helped a lot to improve the entire situation. They are definitely invaluable.LOVE S.

Truck was not at the location I originally asked for. It was moved to a different location and I was not notified. I was not the only customer this happened to the day of ppick up. The gentleman did not check odometer correctly at time of return and ended in an argument with Josh . He was absolutely no help and made it seem as if I was the liar . There was nothing gone over with me about checking the truck myself . This was the worst experience in my life with you !! When you reserve certain size make sure you have it in that city somewhere. Instead of wanting people to drive 2 towns away for the size they want. Because you don't want to give up the only one that was that size in your storeBrian R.
What a great customer experience. I waited for about an hour to have my hitch installed and during that time I saw text book customer experience demonstrated with many clients who walked through the door. As a business leader and past executive, I was thoroughly impressed. The gentlemen who installed my hitch was equally service oriented. The original hitch lighting was not working and the U-Haul team were able to diagnose the problem and install a replacement power line to the harness adapter. This was a tricky diagnosis and repair, but the U-Haul team got it done. Great work!Marshall H.

t's impossible to call direct and speak with a live person. Just kept receiving text/email messages but everytime would log in and receive the verification code, received message that time had expired. I spent way too much time trying to log-in and placing calls, only to be notified that someone would call. But it would take 3 times for a call to get thru. Had issues with the entire U-Box experience - and not in a good way. When i called, was told my box was in Shreveport, they said they had no record that it was to be delivered to Longview address. Finally transferred to a UBox person who said it WOULD be delivered to Longview. I submitted the on-lone photo of where the box was to be placed. When driver arrived, said she couldn't place box on the street next to the curb. I explained that's the same location box was placed for loading. She ended up placing it in the driveway, which them blocked me from getting either of my vehicles from the garage. I told the UBox folks it would take less than an hour to unload and wanted same-day pick-up. Explained same to driver, who said it would be the next day - or later, if I needed more time. Again, said it could be picked up within the hour - and again she said she would leave it if I needed more time. Called the next day to confirm pick-up and was told it would be another day! Finally, received call that someone would pickup the box in the afternoon. My U-haul truck rental was seamless. The UBox experience was extremely dissatisfying and frustrating - will not use it again or recommend to anyone. The folks on the phone were very polite and tried to be helpful, but to no avail. Really need to have a way to directly contact the actual store or facility. Very poor experience.christine W.

Had trouble checking in online. Josh kept insisting that it be done like that. The sight wasn't allowing it so he got frustrated and waved his arm saying she (the person at the counter) would have to help us. She walked around the truck with us to put stickers on the truck. The back was never opened for inspection. Upon return, Josh inspected the truck and said we would be charged for use of the dolly and blankets/pads. We let him know that we didn't use them (we have our own dolly and we just moved boxes - no pads required). He insisted we used them. Again, we said no. He then pointed to a tie that was on the floor (how was that there with us having filled the truck and dragging boxes?) and then he opened the bag and started throwing the blankets out on the truck floor. He started to get huffy and said he was going to charge us. We once again let him know we didn't use those and mentioned how the back wasn't opened when we first got the vehicle. We also mentioned that we noticed the cleaning cart next to the vehicle once it was brought up to us. Was it possible that it hadn't been ready when we got there? We didn't appreciate anger and unprofessionalism. We use this place often (truck rental and supplies) and we think that a more thorough walk thru with a person (not on an app) would avoid these issues.Darryl S.

Very high price for the amount of room. Poor management in the way he talks to customers. Poor customer service in the way of always being routed to the call center. Hard to access unit with narrow walk ways and tight corners. Dumpsters are very far from units and full in every case I tried to use them, on more than one occasion they were locked as well so I had no access. Also my move out date was 8/25 not 9/6 but the bill for another month was not unexpected based on the rest of the experience. More money or worse condition are well worth not using this facility. The truck was filthy. The windshield was covered in either bird feces or bug guts. There was a cigarette stain on the driver side ceiling area. There was some kind of goop on the back wall in the cabin. Something was going on with the tire pressure sensor that it consistently kept blinking at me that I need to service the tires.Darrin G.

This is probably on me, I'm guessing I missed this when I set up the reservation online but when doing the initial set up I deliberately checked the non digital check in ... I selected the in-store check in. I didn't want to set up an account for a once every 10 years need ... I was surprised when the staff member said I needed to do all that anyway. My plan was to hand them my drivers license and credit card, do a walk around and leave with the truck ... much to my surprise I ended up losing 25 minutes goofing around with all that. It wasn't all that bad but and I understand it's a changing world, I just didn't care for the lost time at the beginning of my day.Larry G.

Placing the reservation online was convenient and easy. (So I thought until I discovered an unauthorized charge) After completing the online reservation and getting my confirmation; I then went to the Uhaul Store the following day where the storage unit was located to checkin for my unit. The new female employee was pleasant but did not know everything she needed to know to complete the transaction in the proper way. The following morning, I decided to check my credit card and noticed I was charged $10.71 that I did not authorize. I immediately called the Uhaul phone number on the receipt. A male answered and I explained why I was calling, he then transfered me to a corporate customer service area and I was placed on hold for approx. 15 mins. I had to explain again why I was calling to the customer service person who answered. He then said the charge was for a lock. The lock should have been free with move-in Promotion. He said he couldnt help with the disputed charge. He said he would have to transfer me to the dispute dept. He then placed me on hold again for another approx. 20 mins. A female named Amanda answered the call, I had to explain again the reason for my call. She was very pleasant and tried to help but said she did all she could do on her part and would have to have management call me. I received a call from Josh, the Manager at the Pueblo, CO Store. I had to explain the issue again. (Now a 4th time) We talked then he began to argue about the way the rental procedure was handled incorrectly verses who should have did what on their end and my end. After insisting him to remove the charge, Josh then refunded the lock charge. I asked and received a email confirmation on the lock charge refund transaction and told him I would be seeing him shortly. I then drove to the storage store, asked for him and waited until he came to the counter. I told him that I did not feel the situation was handled correctly and I did not want to do business with people that made unauthorized charges to my account. I wished to cancel the agreement. I had not moved in yet. I gave him the unopened lock. I requested a receipt copy of the credit card refund on storage cancelation. He instructed the female at the counter to process. I then left and rented another unit from a competitor who was further away. It was done online and completed within 15 mins, no hassles or unauthorized charges made from new location. Most of my issues with the service had to do with billing. Constant price increases with minimal notice. I feel that 4 increases in 3 years was a bit much. The staff at the Carruth Court address in Pueblo, CO are fabulous. George stood out as they helped above and beyond when we were removing our items from storage. It was very hot, our moving helpers canceled, leaving my 13 year old and I to load in the desert heat and sun. George recognized our plight, and stepped in to help. I was suffering from heat stroke so George gave us a place to rest and plenty of cool water to reduce our symptoms. And than on top of that was overcharged for accessories. I have waited on hold to talk to someone twice for over 50 mins even tho the wait time said 20 mins. You should let your customers know that you don't have access cards and cannot access storage . I drive 3 hrs one evening to get something out my storage. Gave away my reservation! What! Local manager blamed it on Corporate reservation problems. Not my problem. Moving is stressful enough without a national company giving you the run around!! I was told that I would have GROUND-FLOOR ACCESS I was told that the 1st month's rent was FREE I was told that it was an 8X10X5 I asked if the truck and the storage unit were going to hold all of my furniture and other belongings. Nothing I was told were actually TRUE! I had to scramble to get another storage unit because the Truck AND the storage unit WERE TOO SMALL! Nothing the first representative told me WAS EVEN CLOSE TO THE TRUTH! My family is their friends made trips IN THEIR OWN PRIVATE VEHICLES to help finish my move. I want a full refund for the entire "UHAUL MOVING EXPERIENCES" of one lie and additional Fee after another.
