I ordered furniture pads with my rental and did not receive them. When I tried calling to see if I could get them, I was hung up on not once but twice. I gave up on trying to get the pads and moved anyway. When I returned the truck, the clerk (or manager) just made excuses and said he was working on trucks all day and the service is who hung up on me rather than apologizing. Had I not said I wanted a refund of the pads, he would not have offered it. He didn't even apologize! He actually tried to tell me I didn't order the pads! I will not recommend this location again. Very disappointed.

The manager was very nice and friendly. The cargo van I rented was in great condition. The process was easy. My only complaint is that I tried 5 times over the previous two days to reserve it by phone and no one ever answered the phone. When I walked in there was only one van available and only until 4PM. Fortunately I didn't need it longer than that.

Second encounter with the same employee and his level of professionalism is poor. His tone and body language makes you feel as if you bothering him when you as a question regarding your rental. It's not like I'm asking what was last night's game score. I've rented from this location on numerous occasions with no issues so I know this store can do better. I did have a one on one conversation with this employee on side. Did he get where I was coming from as a customer, I highly doubt it. Would I rent from uhaul again? Yes but if I have another poor experience with this individual. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Maybe this employee is in under a little pressure and need a little time off to regroup. I really hate giving bad reviews, especially during these tough pandemic times but seeing that this my 2nd experience and you guys sent the survey, here you go. P.S. After this encounter I went to Lowe's and bought a trailer to avoid dealing with this again. Thanks for the past rentals.

The lock box locks need to be routinely checked and maintained because mine didn't work. The truck I was then switched into needed an oil change and had cigarette butts all over it.

The truck cab had hair on the seats - a lot of it - which was gross. But more importantly you need more employees working on weekends. Picking up and return both took far longer than necessary due to only one employee working. He was doing his best, but it should not have been all on him during a peak time.

I was charged $24.50 after putting $20 of fuel @ $1.93.9 per gallon I went 98 miles. The fuel gauge read the same as when I took the truck. I went to the agent and the truck was already leased out again. I am very angry about this considering I have been doing a lot of leasing recently. lights where not hooked up properly the service associate took pictures and said everything was working when it was not i had to plug it in the right way.his attitude was not the greatest but equipment was good.

This location was very cramped and t e trailer was difficult to get to. The person checking me out was gruff and unfriendly. Worse, when I got home, I found that the trailer was missing a tail light. My bad for trusting the uhaul guy and not checking it out myself. Lesson learned. The uhaul GM, Steve, when made aware of the situation went out of his way to get the trailer fix

Taunton location was awesome! staff was super friendly and accommodating. however, website could use improvements. i initially ordered the largest truck for our move out of the taunton location (since i live in Berkley). i received a text later that evening stating i could pick up the truck in Cumberland RI as this was the closest location with the truck i requested. when i called about this totally inconvenient discrepancy, i was told selecting a location for pick up in a preference. for so many reasons i think that is outrageous. Cumberland RI is about an hour away from me versus the taunton location that's 15 minutes. had the website stated this truck wasn't available at the location requested, i would have no complaints. but to hear almost 7 hours after i booked online about the location is not ideal. but again the taunton locations are awesome and i would recommend them

The trailer was missing a leg and the safety chain was bent. It took over a 1/2 an hour to process my order and they couldn't find a new leg to put on to the trailer. It should have been 100% ready to go by the time I got there. I also had to fill the tie with air on my trip. I complained and was told I was going to get a call back and I never did

1st of all they can get it right when claiming someone owes money & you DO NOT . When I rented my storage back in June, it came up me & daughter-in-law owed for u haul because we knew someone else??? This someone else lived in Louisiana mind you, I'm in Massachusetts, never heard of this person, needless to say back in June I HAD TO PAY THIS PERSONS BILL REGARDLESS! 100 & something dollars just to rent a truck & storage but in the meantime they gave me a reservation, customer service said I shouldn't have been giving one! OK Here it is Sept want my stuff out of storage & again made a reservation 2 weeks in advance no worries, we'll day of puck up low and behold Rude ass manager at uhaul on cape rd Raynham wouldn't rent to me because I have a do not rent , WTF, why was I giving a reservation for 1, & 2 why am I on a do not rent list when I PAYED SOMEONE ELSES BILL I DO NOT KNOW, I refuse to pay that again & will be taking my things wether you like it or not! So 2and a half hours just to get this truck had to call customer service again (mind you this is on a Sunday so the main office was closed) the lady after an hour on phone says I don't know why you had a reservation ( ME EITHER LADY) but it shows this was payed! ( THANK YOU) also a Rosie grey in Louisiana, I said yes that me or my daughter in law neither know off as we never been out of Massachusetts! Point is uhaul rather turn customers away if they know someone that owes past bills( my case I did not but it said I did how I have no idea being that far apart in states) or they want you to pay that persons bill. Because I said oh ok my husband is with me he can just put it in his name the rude manager says no he can't , he knows you??? Then when all said and done & I was able to finally rent this truck this guy ( manager) decides he's gonna go outside and fill about 6/7 different customers propane tanks when he had a woman in the building sitting right next to him that apparently didn't know how to rent out trucks as he also had a line for rentals inside, not only trucks but trailer hook ups as well, so there was another hour to hour and a half wait f on him when this lady just sat there and did nothing!! Oh ya she pulled the truck up🤔🤭😡.. Never ever had issues with Taylor Rentals just they didn't have storage is why I went here & lesson learned , never the hell again. I don't know how this man is working in customer service (as that's what I do for work myself & never would I treat people the way he did. You don't just get up and walk away from a customer without letting them know at least something. Like I'll be right back, sorry man, I'm only one ( girl training) & have to fill propane tanks) something, but no he gets up with attitude that he's busy and does not come back for nearly an hour)) never mind a Manager because he had failed completely at all tasks, responsibilities requirements that a manager is supposed to uphold

Spend 30 seconds explaining the tow hitch or shout that there's an explanation on the website necessary to go over. The wire for brake lights was cut and exposed wiring. U-haul should add team members to this location to improve. It's impossible to expect your employees to perform so many tasks and explain everything. You'd have a line for hours.

Online check in is hard to navigate. When I couldn't make it work the guy inside said he couldn't help me because I had already started the process online. He did say however that I should start at the process over. I find it very hard to believe that I could restart the check in process, but he could not on his end. I work in info systems so I didn't appreciate them shrugging me off like I didn't know what I was doing. It took me 30 minutes the parking lot to check in successfully using the app. I never received a copy of the rental agreement. I did get an email when I completed the online check in at 2:57 pm with terms and conditions, but no rental agreement. I rented the van for 24 hrs. When I made the online reservation. They uhaul store called me the next day at 10:40 claiming the truck was due back at 10 am. They said I agreed to that when I completed the online check in. I wouldn't have taken the truck if they couldn't accommodate the original 24 hr reservation as my daughter could not move into her apartment until 1:00pm. If I had been able to deal with a human in the store this could've all been avoided. On a positive note the girl who did our return was very pleasant.

Try using the app, the aerea has very poor coverage, it didn't work, spoke to the staff they said they could not Switch to a conventional check in, But after 1 hour they gave me the truck, waisted 1 hour. Not a good experience

Clean inside of truck before renting it out. Ensure that customer is aware of everything when picking up truck including return time, return location, and urgency of return.

drove the van to the return location during business hours,waited for 5 minutes for someone to come out to the designated return area,no one came out ? So I went in to find someone,called out is anybody here ? Finally a young male came into showroom and told me I was all set. I do not think they even looked at the return ? I returned the van clean,made sure it had over a 1/2 tank of fuel,and I was gonna tell them about the van. The van needs front tires,front end repairs,and new windsheild wipers,they sucked ! For the $$$$ I paid for this rental, I WOULD EXPECT SOME SORT OF REFUND FOR THE ABOVE ISSUES ! Not a good experience with U-Haul co. ????????

General Manager needs customers service training not a Friendly person never says hello never says thank you! He must hate his job!!!! Received call back for customer service rep. She was very Nice and understandable and very Polite and friendly!! She Waived the $20 fee that the general manager was charging me because I dropped off my trailer after hours went on the app and I guess it didn't show up that I didn't checked it in after hours so that's a problem with U-Haul computer program but I will rent from U-Haul again I have been doing this for 23 years through my company it's very convenient it's right around the corner From my business!! Tried calling on Saturday Sunday and Monday no answer goes into a Voicemail general manager said we are understaffed so we can't answer the phone!!

I've already responded on line regarding my experience in arranging for rental of the truck...It was not good. As a recap: the 20' truck I had signed up for "had been damaged" and was in a repair shop. There were no other 20' trucks available. I was advised, after discussing the intended load, that a 15' truck would be all I need. That turned out to be correct but, nevertheless, it left me feeling very uneasy. I was supposed to get a confirmation call early in the morning of 7/31 to confirm my reservation I did not receive a call. Friday evening, about 7;30 pm, I received an advisory to pick up the truck at a different location! I spent nearly 2 hours trying to reach someone at UHAUL to find out what was going on. Finally I was able to message back and forth with someone that confirmed my pickup at 35 Cape Highway, Taunton, MA. I don't think you can begin to imagine how upsetting those two hours were for me. Fortunately I had no problem with the pickup. The agent was courteous and efficient. I was unable to use your check in system when I arrived back at 35 Cape Highway. I used the WiFi signal from the store 9my phone has no data) and received the check in code. However for some reason, when asked to confirm the code, I tried several~5 times unsuccessfully. I had no alternative other than to lock and park the truck, leave the keys in the drop off container and drive home. My attempts to check-in the truck took me 45 minutes (reading and re-reading the instructions and attempting to confirm the code). As a result of my unsuccessful efforts to abide by your check-in procedure I will probably be penalized $20 and that will only add to my aggravation. On the positive side the truck size was more than adequate and it handled well. The low truck bed and the slide out walkway also made it easy to load and unload. The gas mileage was pretty bad (or the tank wasn't full to start). I drove approximately 188 miles round trip and it took 23.3 gallons to fill it up. That's approximately 8.1 mpg... and that was with the transmission set for "Hauling" when loaded for the outbound trip and "Hauling" turned off for the return trip.

Stephen and his staff are phenomenal and provide excellent customer service. The only recommendation for improvement is that thr storage units need lighting inside as its pretty dark and dangerous. I bumped my head a few times moving things out from the the wood planks above being so low if you have a unit on the lower level. Almost got vertigo, but learned quickly to duct your head when moving things to avoid going to ER.

Very frustrating! I was overcharged on the first day and tried to resolve it for two months with no response. I called over 20 times. Even contacted owner directly several times. No response!
