andrew T.Pay more attention on the vehicle. As I received it can cause big accident. The vehicle was really old or used. The engine had not power 2 km per litre expend too much money in gas. The fan was not working was too hot inside, was raining and windshield was foggy all the time as the fan did not work and I could not see anything and I was in highway with a lot of traffic I was in really dangerous situation I could kill my self or other people, the driver door is open when the vehicle is running, when is raining the water is going inside the vehicle, my boxes get wet and was really difficult to down from the track, the car dolly is not maintaining It was really difficult to tight the de tires and I expended one hour to lose the tires and down the car from it. It was the most dangerous and unpleasant trip that I ever had

But uhaul could not provide me the truck rather they offered me the biggiest one (26ft) which I don't need and the fuel consumption of that is more. Even in the next day the truck was not available. Then I had to cancel reservation and made a new reservation of 15ft truck. I faced a lot of hassle for that. Also it was said that booking was garanted but providing that type of dissimilar vehicle should not be accepted.

Which was also not told to me when I picked it up the day before I asked when needed to bring it back and they responded "tomorrow". If it's strictly a 24 hour period tell me! If I'm late fine charge me an extra day but to charge me for 2 days when no one was waiting for it, an hour late...

DEREK Q.This has been an issue with me for years now and I am a good customer. All vehicles should be rented full of gas and returned that way or penalize the customer who does NOT return full of gas. Your present system is not very “ user friendly†as it is very difficult and unjust. Trying to get the right amount of gas into vehicle before return is near difficult and only works to benefit the company and seems more like a “ gauging “ tactic.

The pick up system using the mobile app is a bit hit and miss, firstly it didn't recognize my location, even though I was in the U haul lot and secondly after going thru the whole process it requested my passport, which I did not have. On the other hand the drop off side of the mobile app works fine. Next time I am in St. John's I will use this location for hiring a work vehicle.
Anthony C.1) 24/7 automated check-in/out was the worst experience I ever had renting a vehicle/truck: When on location, additional ways of verification were required (without prior alert!!!), so I didn't have my passport, one of the additional required contacts was not available, so the process was cancelled by the online-contact and I had to go to the counter to start the process from scratch (had that been outside of business hours, that would have left me stranded!!!). 2) Never had I ever had to present more than a drivers' license and a credit card when renting any vehicle (car or truck). I felt treated like a criminal who had to proof his innocence. 3) The employee did help but in a defensive mood, like I was the one creating the problem. 4) Instead of "up to 10 minutes" I spent 45 minutes at the location before being able to leave with the truck. 5) The truck was clean and functioning as expected, but dated (No USB, no cruise-control). 6) I returned the truck within 3 hours (2 hours early) and with less miles driven. However, I was charged the full rate. In summary, this was my first and last use of UHAUL services :-(

Therec was a long wait time for counter service. Lot of people rushing about but no acknowledgement of customers waiting. Entering return information was slow - wifi not powerful enough?
Mervyn M.Chris S. et al were great to deal with! Pickup and drop off were a breeze. Much faster service than expected on a busy afternoon. On top of it all, it was cheaper and faster than waiting for a local hardware store to arrange and deliver our new door. Using the provided blankets kept our new door in perfect condition, unlike the careless folks who delivered the first door damaged.
rex G.Couldn't get a rental car anywhere so opted for a cargo van from uhaul. When we come back to Newfoundland we'll rent from uhaul again - this was a perfect way to see the island!!! The customer service from the time of booking, through the many changes due to air Canada flight delays to pick up and then drop off - fantastic!

Todd H.Way too expensive. Tried to get some things moved to my cabin that's an hour and a half from the city and costed me over $550. It's cheaper to hire a transport company that would load and off load for you. My rate was 80 cents a kilometre but my first quote was 1.20 a kilometer which would have cost so much more. I ran a little late the next morning as I was driving from out of town and did my best to clean the rig before return. Very strict on the return time. Half hour late and they charged me an extra $52. They charged it to my credit card without telling me the over charges. The place is a rip off. Don't bother, find another way to move.

The unit we have now (800) has gapping opening where siding from the building it bowed outward, told the front counter and was informed they cannot do anything with it until the unit is empty even though it can easily be filled/ pushed back in with enough force.

A few points that could be improved on: 1) when I initially signed in I was told the billing would be automatic on my credit card. This wasn’t the case and I was charged for non payment on the second month. 2) only one of the two loading bay doors was usable. The second was consistently blocked with uhaul equipment. This caused some congestion with myself and other tenants. Overall, I’m very pleased with my experience however. It was easy to do business with you and I felt my belongings were safe and secure in your facility. Thank you!

I have been a client of Uhaul self storage at this location for one year now, I acquired 2 units in January 2021 upon a sudden move to Ontario. At that time, I received 110% Great Customer Service from one employee (I am unsure of his name but he has dark hair, stands about my height 5”9, average build, has the voice of a tv host or radio show host… I feel you could distinguish him by this comment) however, this guy is your guy if you need every spec of information you need or will ever want to need about storage or anything else you ask in the Uhaul area. Very much an asset to the store on Kenmount. Back to Mr. Mackey though … I had called to speak to him last week due to a late payment on both units for over one month. Mr. Mackey returned my call and left me messages until he reached me with a number I had left for him. When we did get in touch I explained my recent car accident on December 3rd which caused my delay in my payments, and how I was just now getting back to myself and getting my finances straightened up. Taken back by my unfortunate events these past 2 months he informed me of my extra charges, and late fees along with my total of both units. But while doing so, he was able to remove a total of $30. With a credit payment over $700 I was about to make, at this point minus $30 fee to some wouldn’t seem to lighten the day. But it was Mr. Mackey himself with his empathy for my situation that made me write this today. I won’t elaborate any more, but I would recommend this location to anyone who is in need of storage always given my experience.

I paid 143.67 on Dec. 23 and that brought me to Jan 23 I thought the balance would be refunded to my visa. I personally think that this is not good customer service. Especially where I was a steady customer for close to or over 4 years with this unit..

We had a truck and trailer, and it was extremely difficult to drive to our unit because of all the rental vehicles stored in the way. Which also made it hard to maneuver and turn around because you can not just drive through. Would be much easier if you could pull trough without having to turn around a large trailer.

Store service is extremely slow, often long lines witch include people signing out rental vehicles with ONE person at the counter. Having to pay extra for 24 hour access to your outdoor locker is a bad show of customer service. Just always a hassle when visiting. Very glad my stay is over.

He acted like this was a ridiculous question and told me no. As I was having trouble to back up, another employee saw and offered multiple ways to help. After it was unhooked , the employee asked me if the hitch was installed at a U-Haul (it was , in NB) as the chain used to secure it was not the right one, and was actually breaking . He was surprised we made the drive. ( Also had slight issues in NB).

I got a flat and ruined an entire tire trying to get in to the lot before they made the ramp like part and the employees have absolutely zero compassion or empathy.
