When I made my reservation for my u-box to be delivered at the closest location to my address in Houston, they assured me that they will send them to the nearest location, and added an address on file that was indeed close. However, when the time came to pick-up my stuff from the box, they send me to collect them to a 20 mile far away location, generating an increase in my moving expenses since I had to drive 40 miles in total to get my stuff. By being new in town this is not a nice way to start. Nonetheless, please always consider this for future clients, or at least let them know that it won't be delivered close to them. I rented a tow dolly because I was moving to another state and have multiple vehicles. Not even half way thru my trip the straps on the dolly broke and the other side was rigged together. As well as I had to drive an hour away from my home to pick up my truck. And the truck was inspected. But that couldn't have be done. Both containers were in bad shape when they arrived. UHaul literally had to use wood screws and a metal brace to seal one of them, and both of them were damaged in transit. I did not interact with the staff at the Houston location, and was unable to reach anybody at the Seattle location. Instead, I had to talk with the customer service center, and those representatives are incompetent and absolutely have no concern for the customers. Each person I spoke with gave contradictory answers, including, unfortunately, the corporate contact for your UrbanBound accounts, and I had zero confidence that my things would arrive on time and be available for movers to pick up as scheduled. I received no confirmation when my boxes arrived in Seattle and, like I said, I was afraid that they would not be available for the movers to bring to me. Each and every rep I spoke with ought to be ashamed of themselves. This was my third and final experience with this â€œserviceâ€ and it was almost identical to the previous two. I think I would rather throw out everything I own and start over rather than to use UHaul UBox again. I would be very interested in escalating my concerns; this move was paid for through UrbanBound on behalf of my employer; frankly, they are entitled to some monetary credit and I deserve a genuine apology and the opportunity to speak with somebody who actually gives a damn about UHaul's customers.Patrick D.

I was charged for two days while I had the truck for only 8 hours. Your agent did not tell me I will be charged for 2 days when i returned the truck. I was called three days and asked if I returned the truck. I told the lady I did and she said she will note the account. I have two charges on my credit card and waiting for one to be removed. Size truck I reserved was faulty, put me in larger truck caused usage of more gas. Truck eas not exceleratin properly. Gas gauge not registering correctly which caused final gas replscement to be a full tank instead of amount needed $30-40. Mire expense which Uhaul refused to reimburse. Tow dolly defective. Pin holding ramp in place kept failing and required several stops as it was dragging on the road. I was driving at night and this was not a plesant experience. I called Uhaul but received mo help. I experienced the very same problems on my ladt rental with them and explained thus when I made this reservation and requested that the equipment I picked up was in good condition. It too 4 tow dolly's to find one with functioning lights and the one I got was still defective! These failures caused me mire travel time and mire expense for fuel..BARBARA P.

This was the word experience! Uhaul should not use 3rd party companies that they can't communicate with. My first day I ended up being stranded with a Ubox because the facility closed prior to my scheduled move being completed. I had to pay extra money and a hotel because it's the only secure place I could find to store my box until the next day. Uhaul continued to wipe their hands of any issues I had stating they're not responsible for their 3rd party movinghelp.com who has uhaul logo on their site. There was a moment that I was the only customer in the store with two assistances. The one helping me picked up a call, left me hanging there. Until 2-3 minutes later, the first guy realized the call will take a while and request the other free assistance to take me over. The people working the counter don't work independantly of each other. It takes three of them to answer a question, solve a problem, or take a phone message. They all stop working when anybody at the counter has a question. So there were constant interuptions, sidebars, and distractions while I was trying to complete my rental reservation. They made four mistakes filling out my reservation, and ended up charging my credit card twice for one rental. Now I'm waiting for a credit to show up on my credit card. Picking up the ubox was simply and easy. After the ubox shipped is different story. They couldn't find my box for almost 3 weeks, resulting in me having a purchase new clothes for work.
