My issue may be more U-Haul as a system and not just this location. The couple of people I interacted with at this location were kind and helpful and did their best to help. But I was supposed to pick up my u-boxes and a rental truck to tow them. My u-boxes were not available at this location. We were able to pick up the truck and then had to drive to another location to get our U-boxes. The U-boxes were not ready and we had to wait a few hours to get them. Luckily whoever was moving the boxes at the location did their best to help and set us up for dropping off our empties and picking up our next trailer so we wouldn’t have to wait anymore. But overall I am disappointed with our U-Haul experience. The coordination of where and when we could get the U-boxes was a mess.

The staff was incredible. Eli was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. My complaint is with corporate. Somehow my name (not any other information) was attached to another person with my name???? (Highly unlikely, actually) that owed a bunch of money and u was delayed for an hour picking up the truck because I had to call corporate to have this person 'removed from being associated???? From me). I waited 28 minutes on hold to have someone tell me they dint know why we were connected. This is unacceptable. Not same number, DL number, state even..... thank his, Eli and his associate were on it! They kept me chill while I handled it! Great location!
Linette DThe cargo van I rented was super nice. It had car play and I could connect my phone to it. It drove very smoothly. Only issue is the key didn't fit in the key dropbox. Luckily, Uhaul was still open when I dropped it off. If it was afterhours, I'm not sure how I would have left the key.

There was less than half a tank of gas in the truck, and it was parked against the U-Haul sign pole on the front bumper. The radio does not turn off when the vehicle does, and the gas mileage rating gauge did not work. I get it is a college town, and the vehicles will not be perfect, but have some pride in your work.
Jarred HI dropped off the truck the same day I rented it. They charged me for an extra day anyways. They called the day after asking where the truck was and I explained I dropped it off the same day. The day after that they charged me for an extra day.

Kyle EThe app wouldn't allow me to take and upload photographs when I first arrived, and I was really delayed in leaving because I had to confirm everything with the staff inside, which included them having me take photos and video on my phone independently of the app. I was definitely nervous about any accidents that were not caused by me, because I had no app-approved photographs of the truck.

DERRICK PCheck in was slow and inefficient. Lot was crowded so it was difficult to drive off the lot. Return was a nightmare. I was after hours and there were trucks everywhere, blocking in parked cars. With lots of jockeying, we were finally able to get our cars out by driving into the neighboring business lot. Otheres were not so lucky and I believe had to leave their cars overnight.
Lillian HI waited 45 minutes to pick up my scheduled Uhual van. This was the longest wait I’ve ever experienced with Uhual. When I started my drive, a beeping noise started to sound. The passenger door was not properly closed and I couldn’t shut it because I was driving. When I opened the back of the truck, there was brown spattered on the wall near a corner. It was disgusting. It looked like poop. I would have gone back to swap vans or have it properly cleaned but I had people arriving to help me move soon. I resorted to using my mattress protector as a shield and then threw it away after the move. I have used Uhual countless times. I usually have a good experience. I would still use Uhual in the future. However, this was a terrible experience.

That being said, and I want to emphasize that I in no way place the blame on the location or any of the staff present, my experience was in a word, terrible. The U-Haul app, which is supposed to make things easier and allow for me to check-in ahead of time and walk right in to pick up my equipment, is atrocious. Those monkeys who can write Shakespeare could have made a better app. Nothing worked the day of my rental . I was kicked out of the app many times. I was told by the app that my equipment was not "retrievable". I was told by Lori over chat that she could help and then the chat disappeared and I couldn't get it back. Then I was told to call a 1-800 number for assistance and immediately placed on hold. I was on hold for more than 30 minutes and by that time, I was being helped by a staff member at the location. The computer systems at the location were also incredibly slow and while I arrived at 10:20 to pick up my 10:30 rental, I didn't leave with the truck until 11:30. So I spent 70 minutes waiting for an app that didn't work and a computer system that was so slow it made everyone wait in misery. The next time I need a pick up truck, I will go anywhere else I can such as Lowes or Home Depot. Heck, I will ask an uncle who will talk my ear off for an hour about some random conspiracy theory so I can borrow his truck, just so I can avoid another experience like this one.

MICHAEL WOverall everything went smooth - pick up was much faster than I expected and the process of updating pics and info through a smart phone is a nice little feature. The truck itself was in decent shape, and had a pretty smooth ride all things considered. The ONLY thing that sucked was it was apparent that someone smoked in the cabin at some point - there was a lingering odor that really triggered my allergies.

Antonnie MEverything was flawless in my opinion. Pick up was fast and associate helped secure trailer to my vehicle. Safety chains were quite long and he had a "fix" for it that was great without having to take time. Trailer (Motorcycle) was sturdy and well maintained. Return was very fast and took < 5 minutes!!!!! Very pleased with this location. Would definitely use them for future needs.
Christopher HI wish the trucks had diesel engines. The gasoline engine trucks just wouldn't keep up on the highway. If they do, my foot will be flat on the floor and it drinks a lot of fuel. This increases fatigue and fuel expenses.
