I don't think it's ok to charge $20 to have the staff check in the vehicle in the morning. That's their job! The staff did not mention a $20 fee for that. I was not given a choice about that fee prior to my rental. The first time I heard about this fee was via a text when I saw it a few hours later. I did go online to check it in and the website required to check my location and I agreed to that but then it wanted me to make changes to my phones setting and I am not a tech guy I don't know how to do those changes. This is not ok nor is it fair! This is a rip off!!!Hugo R.

The check in & check out was far below in promt. The truck was average to overall cleanliness not a big deal however I would like to give a very straight fair feedback in which I never spend the time doing anywhere. The young man working the counter wearing a ball cap and tattoos Which was my initial interface with him was not good at all I also share some of the fault here on Monday April 6 Due to the fact I was on hold as usual with your customer service for almost a hour n 30minutes and I had to eventually hang missing extremely important phone calls I couldn't answer losing my inline que. I had to reschedule the rental in professional courtesy as well so you would not lose the rental from another customer so I had to drive all the way down there just to communicate to this branch in person to reschedule and not to lose a possible rental from another customer. So the time i got over there I walk up still on hold and was a bit unhappy hung up and I made my complaint right then with a level of aggravation the youg man gave a nasty look and pop off with a very kill look in his eyes and body language and he replied with thats not my problem its wasn't my fault while he was just standing there doing nothing and preceded to say something else rudely I mentioned boy you have no respect for elders or the most importance value of a customer and ask i to move the date. All I can yes I shouldn't had been rude either even though I just lost 723. On a service call blew off my doctors calls on hold with you and this happens every time I call your CS line this is completely unacceptable customers don't have much time to book a piece of equipment and check in. I'm 56 years I have ran many fleets in aviation, trucking,, construction and of course equipment rental I was managing a equipment rental yard at 21 years of age. What im driving at is not to bring this up to him my goal in this long comment section is most likely to go in n out of the ears. Please improve your CS team to pu the phone and get them going peoples time is critical and by the way I completely apologize to the kid for coming off like i did lets start over . When I came back for drop off some young girl with tats on her was again stand-off ish she sounded off like direct orders of a boss me to do her job turn on all lights and signals. Get me my mileage not even looking over the lights as I'm watching her look over the truck with a mission to find anything she could. Now moving to the cab which if she had done this in the first place turn on lights check odometer, fuel , cleaning of the cab then proceed to the exterior lights with wheels chocked n parking brake on. Im sorry its not the customers job to do the check in your returns I really didn't mine except her demeanor was out there and then shouted at me you smoke in the truck 4 times I told her I don't smoke got it stop accusing I smoked while I had the truck for a brief 2 hrs I dont like to be accused of when I brought it back with a additional 1/8 of a tank of fuel more thats roughly 10 dollars so if you look at the gage at my pu and drop you can see that and I ask her for a 5- 10 credit for it as she just smirked smiling basically to bad. You know I have been renting uhaul equipment for many many years my family going way back for both personal and business and I cÎ±nnot believe the pathetic sorry excuses used today with attitudes and ripping you off even minor dollars its whats behind it and looking at all of it as whole and its not just uhaul. Customers get treated like we are lucky you are doing us you favor. Sorry really my culture that sees this demonstrated all the time shaking our heads as its ass backwards we are you here to support the community businesses large small global whatever the attitudes is if you don't like it go somewhere else we really don't care and the most common today catch phrase is WELL IT WASNT ME THAT MISINFORMED YOU!! WHAT IS IT YOU WANT IT WASNT ME. NOT IM SORRY LETS GET YOU HANDLE LET ME FIX THIS RIGHT NOW AND GET YOU SQAURED AWAY GET YOU GOING LET ME GIVE YOU A 10% DISCOUNT ANYTHING THAT AS A HUMAN / CUSTOMER WOULD GO LONG WAYS IN HAPPY LOYAL CUSTOMER BASE. Services with the truck were amazing. Customer service picking up the truck was amazing BUT dropping our truck off was a whole other situation. The "manager" which i wouldnt give that title with her rude ass attitude and lazy employee she allowed to walk away from us without saying a word all because he had another job to attend. For 1 we stood in line just like everyone else and it is not our problem if the business was short staffed or an employee who KNEW he had to leave started to help a customer. That employee should have never walked away from their customer and the fact that the manager allowed it goes to show why this business is ran the way it is. I will NEVER spend my money nor time in this facility and will definitely take my money else where!! Maybe this place needs a new manager or she needs a reality check on how to speak to customers. Making sure the truck has over a half of a tank of gas. My truck only had 44 miles left, so I had to stop to get gas before I could go and move. The staff at this location are really, really great! I had to make changes to my return date and it was impossible to get someone on the phone and I couldn't make the changes online.Clayton J.
This is in regards to prior rental i had on Wednesday. Rented my truck on wed afternoon around 2pm took vehicle home 5 mins away.. Loaded up truck to leave for canyon country when i drove 15 minutes west.. Got off freeway and noticed brakes were metal to metal..called u haul and told them i was returning it..i was charged for the rental.. But later that day charge was reversed.. Made arrangements for Saturday rental in lieu of one on Wednesday.. Asked manager if there would be anything in rate percentage adjust ment for inconvience management she said she would look into it on Saturday.. Maybe 10 cents a mile adjustment or something.. Went in on Saturday and she left as is.. As to cause of defective brakes.. Her professional stated it was abuse on last renter who used it.. .. Bear in mind.. This vehicle had 855 miles on odometer.. And the front brakes were metal to metal.. And not something done on a 35 minute round trip to fontana back to redlands ca. I rent from you folks all the time.. It is what it is.. Again this message is in regards to the rental on wed that weed which resulted in another Saturday rental.. Management could have made these inconviences little better.. After all some serious injury could have occured with 2021 chevy truck with bad front brakes.. Im sure u haul would not have rented something without knowing what if there was a priblem.. I had to re schedule my appointment for saturday.. It was a small hard ship on both parties. My self and person i was helping... Sonja the manager seems like a nice lady.. But somethings could have been handled differently..for all involvedRAMON R.

Then I get transferred to someone that will tell me what's available. I know your a massive company and have done research on this.but I don't get it. Irritating to say the least. I rented a trailer from U-Haul on Saturday about 1 in the afternoon I used it for about 3 hours but by the time I got it back to the U-Haul you guys were closed probably missed you about 15 minutes so I dropped off the trailer make sure it was all clean like you guys wanted and the next day you guys building for $90 for a $40 trailer so when I went and talked to him they said if I didn't check it in on the phone with nobody at all told me about checking your trailer in on the phone but I know in the morning when you got your customers your employees got to work that trailer was there to clean and you guys still charged me $90 what an extra $30 or something like that for not registering on the phone that I brought it back so when I went in there today to talk to him your employees didn't even try to make it right they just said only charge you and that was it bottom-line I'm screwed so no I don't think I'll ever be recommend anybody your location I don't think I'll ever go back there again eitherSTEVE C.

I returned the trailer before the end of my 24 hour rental. Pickup: 10:55 am Return: 10:52 am I got an email the following day(3/11) saying I returned it at 7:42 am 3/11(a day late) I was charged a late fee. I had to waste an hour of my time calling and waiting on hold to get my money returned(hopefully). I have to say that I was really disappointed that the two employees who unhooked me failed to check the trailer into the system and it somehow managed to be done nearly 24 hours later. I honestly want all of my rental fees returned for the hassle.Steven D.

I caught a few extra street lights and pulled into the lot a few minutes after 4:30. There was no one to check me back in because they where checking in a couple of trucks that pulled in before me. I had to wait for awhile to be checked in, but I was still charged a full extra day's charge ($39.00). Your location lost a customer for life for a measly $39.00. What a terrible customer service program you must have, and I can only pray that UHAUL has a better customer service program policy at the corporate level.larry W.
