Excellent customer service. Friendly and professional
STEVEN PFirst of all, U-Haul called me the day before my pre-scheduled pick-up (which I scheduled and confirmed a week in advance), that there was no trailer at the original location and I had to pick another one. They did give me a $50 credit for this inconvenience, but it is unsettling to get notice the day prior to your pick-up for a cross-country drive, that they don't have the equipment at the location where you reserved it. Second, the gentleman who assisted me at the Malden location was very friendly and helpful. Finally, the biggest complaint, which I was unaware until a couple of days on the road and confirmed at my drop-off location, was that the trailer had no running lights, the hitch with the trailer brake assist was bent and out of alignment, and there was an electrical tape patch on the electrical light wiring harness. This was unbeknownst to me throughout my trip, but especially so on my second evening of highway travel, as I wondered why a semi-trailer suddenly swerved around me from behind while blasting its horn and flashing its lights. I contacted U-Haul after my trip and initially Kitessa was very helpful. She seemed concerned, took down my complaints, and told me someone would contact me within three days. After three days I heard nothing, so I contacted U-Haul again. I spoke with Marina who seemed like she couldn't get me off the phone fast enough. She kept telling me to call back, that Will Pleitez did try to contact me, that I was given a credit for my problem, and I should try to call back at 8:00 in the morning or 4:00 in the afternoon because when I called around 3:00 on a Weds the manager was gone for the day. I had no call on my phone from U-Haul and there was no message left, either. I guess U-Haul got what they wanted because I am frustrated and don't feel like chasing down people who don't care about the customer, customer safety, customer satisfaction, or brand integrity. I will do my best try and stay away from U-Haul. I will also continue to let others know about the "service" and treatment that I received with my rental.

Seriously, they were amazing and the help they provided was over and above anything I expected to receive. They helped me pick out the right supplies, truck rental, and held every door for me on the way in and out. THANKS!!

ROBERT YThe vehicle is running a little less than a quarter full of fuel… I put in $10 worth of fuel… and on top of that, the bill charged me an additional $30 for the extra tank of fuel. I don't think it's fair because the tank was low and I had also put in fuel… and I left it at the level it was when I received it… I'm not happy with the additional $30 I was charged on the bill.
