I am picking up the equipment in Stuart, Iowa. My pick up time was 11:30 AM. When I got there and waited in line, the clerk was very condescending and rude saying that my appointment was at 1:30PM. I told him that I did not speak to anybody. I made the reservation online and he just shook his head in discuss, like I was lying to him. This guy is very unprofessional and should not be representing your company.

I went from you three or four times a year and never had an issue. This time the truck had a broken air-conditioning unit. They kept coming on and off predominantly blowing warm air continuously. Also dome light did not work which made it difficult for the loading, unloading the van. For a 2026 vehicle it was disappointing.

Have more staff available on Saturday mornings. 1 person working with 6 people waiting is uncalled for. It's always this way every time I've come here. The trailer I needed wasn't available even though I reserved it a week in advance.

Your automated return system is terrible. We returned the truck on a Sunday while the yard was closed with no one working. We started our rental on friday about 1:00 pm. and returned it on Sunday about 3:30 pm. We were charged 3 days instead of the expected 2 day rental. There should be a grace period in your system and not charge a full extra day rental when you are a couple of hours late especialy on a Sunday. Very upsetting !

I used the app pickup option and there are a few of callouts. 1. There is very limited access to the lockbox that holds the keys as there was a trash can and some other signage blocking the way. 2. If someone, like me, does the app pickup and that person asked for something extra (like an appliance dolly) it would be great if it was already in the vehicle so that I don't have to wait for an attendant to go find one for me. 3. The trucks are staged very close together which makes it impossible to get the full pictures that the app requires without moving the vehicle. The staging makes them easier to find on the lot, but more difficult to get through the process and on the road.

Brandon Leon did an exceptional job assisting me with one of the most stressful cross-country moves, I cannot thank him enough!! He was well-informed and offered me additional information from the first time I accessed my UBOX, which later assisted me in coordinating a truck rental to remove the UBOX contents. He was prompt, responsive, very accommodating - everything you would ask for in a UHAUL representative. This move would not have gone as smoothly without his help and consistent communication, thank you to Brandon and the Simi Valley UHAUL team- I will definitely be choosing UHAUL for future moves again! Exceptional customer service, he went above and beyond!

On my U-Haul application, I reserved a 26-foot U-Haul vehicle. When prompted to confirm if I required additional supplies, I declined, anticipating an empty vehicle without dollies or blankets. Despite my consistent practice of declining these items, U-Haul has repeatedly included and charged me for them. Although I attempted to return these items and was assured they would be removed from my invoice, I was still billed the full amount of $139.78. My request for a refund was denied, with the explanation that I had ordered the items, despite my attempt to return them first thing in the morning and the assurance that I would not be charged. The items were not accepted for return, and I was subsequently charged. It appears that either the U-Haul application or U-Haul customer service is responsible for these charges.

The man Skyler roped the strap for the dolly on the wrong way and it was extremely difficult to detach to be able to use. The 'S' clamps were broken and completely fell off of the chains for the dolly.

Driving east on Los Angeles Avenue there is no easy way to pull into the Uhaul lot. I had to drive much further up the avenue to find a business I could turn around in to travel back west on L.A. Ave and then pull into Uhaul lot. That's a city of Simi Valley street design flaw. It does frustrate Uhaul customers though.

The staff was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately this particular location doesn’t have very many storage units. I came 5 minute before closing thinking I could access my reservation of the storage unit and simply load my stuff in once the office closed, unfortunately that wasn’t an option. When I came at opening the next morning, the worker wasn’t able to locate my reservation or set me up properly. We waited for over an hour for us to finally get access to the storage unit. Again, the staff was super kind and I could tell they were doing everything they knew to do, but it was an unfortunate situation. This location seems great for truck and van rentals, but probably not the best for just storage rentals if you’re looking for something quick.

Joe and the entire team at this location are the most professional, attentive, knowledgeable and refreshing types of professionals — working in a demanding and clearly busy (seemingly non-stop) environment of steady customers in and out). They have made multiple services of this Uhaul site easy and seamless to use and invest patronage in, from rental vehicles to storage space, to moving supplies, to friendly advice and enjoyable almost “small town” friendliness. Thank you and your them for the truly rare and higher quality customer experience than is as easy to find and salute as this Uhaul team is at this location. 👍

There was quite a long period of time where I couldn't reach the staff at this location by phone. I was always transferred to another facility to take a message for them. 9 out of 10 times that I left messages I did not receive returned calls.

Rude, lazy and not willing to work staff. They all had their cars blocking my storage unit. I had to ask them for access, when not one but 3 employees leisurely took their time moving their car show vehicles as I waited a few minutes. The facility is dirty and it would make sense with 3 ppl who just take their time doing almost nothing. There was a mixup by uhaul of my pickup location and the staff were not helpful. Which all coincided with the customer service number who basically did the same thing and pushed me off to someone else to someone else. What a waste of time having me drive all over town and not be helpful. Horrible experience. If I wasn’t moving and needed your services that day I would have gone elsewhere. From this point forward you lost a customer. Thanks for wasting my time. Good to see staff being paid to do absolutely zero work.
