After waiting over 4 hours for the hitch to be installed (I was OK about that), they messed up the signal lights and brakes and had to go back in to get them working again. Now my rear camera sensor is alarming when I put the car in reverse, although nothing is behind me. It is souning the alarm because the camera is no longer alinged properly on the bumper---the bumper was not put back correctly. Then, there is the rear side panal they removed to do the work an didn't get it re-seated properly when they put it back on---it is sticking out 1/4 inch instead of being flush with the body. I have to drive 80 miles round trip tomorrow to get them to fix the cockeyed mess they made and hope they don't break something in the process. I am angry and disappointed in the qualty of the work.KAREN F.

Make sure the trucks that are being rented out actually works. I rented a 26ft to make it one trip but when the 26th foot broke down, I had to settle for a 15ft truck which resultedANGELA A.

I rented a 15 foot truck on December 23, 2021 for 12 hours. It was returned within 9 hours. My husband gave the keys to a young man who we thought processed the truck as having been returned. However, the next morning I was contacted by a young lady who asked me "uhh...when are you going to return the truck?" I replied that we returned the truck on yesterday. Her response was "Okay." But the truck wasn't processed as having been returned until December 26, 2021 after I sent an email on December 25, 2021 asking why was the truck still showing as not having been returned. I was told to leave used uhaul boxes in the truck because uhaul had a return the box program so others could use them. I did just that and was charged a $55 cleaning fee. I reserved a uhaul truck 2 weeks in advance in order to pick it up by my house. I got a text message the day before saying It was changed and I was forced to drive an extra hour round trip inorder to get the truck. I also was not thrilled that the address I was sent for the new location brought me to the complete wrong location.Aaron R.

The night before my reservation date I was called that the pick up location changed. The new location was only 2 miles from the original. When I arrived it was discovered that my equipment was missing and presumes stolen. My rep found my equipment at the original pickup and they did a great job getting me on my way.Christopher A.

The staff was rude at this location. After a yr of using the Gibraltar site I couldn't do 2 months here. They were so awful to me that when Carmen was closing me out she brought it up. "I know you've had a hard time and it seemed it was on purpose but it wasn't". YES IT WAS. I'm out of there. I understand they were busy and they only ones to have a truck available. I had been told other vehicles were available only to get a call and get cancelled. The truck was plastered with bugs and debris on the outside. The young man was very involved in his phone conversation and his instructions were quick and the statement â€œdon't worry about the scratches and dentsâ€. â€œThe key is in the truck!â€ The hood was not properly closed and he tried to convince me it was! From being told that there was a truck available in Flowood, Ms then canceled; I was offered a larger truck in Magee, Ms and only mileage was going to be deducted. A 20 foot truck vs a 10 ft truck = more gas. Because of the unavailability of moving trucks at the time we needed it, I feel we were a pawn in the game of need. The pick up location is already in a rough part of Jackson, Ms and from the check in process until I left, the actions reflected so! Please share with the employees that everyone does not have a hood mentality and should not be treated as such!JACQUELINE R.

Originally scheduled for Pick Up Location: North State U Store and Lock 5850 N State St Jackson, MS 39206 When we got there, there was no one there and only a call to the 800 number revealed that the web-based truck pick up was not an option for this vehicle. There should not be any availability listed for a type of pick up when that pick up is not available. This resulted in us having to drive to a separate distant location and the process for the vehicle return was also very difficult. Was very disappointed in the process.Brian T.

I had made reservations for a storage unit when I got there I was on a long line with only one clerk. I had movers waiting so I lost over $200 and no one at u-haul seem to care. The unit I was shown was not what i got. Instead I was given a much smaller unit than expected and of course I had to pay more for a larger unit. I will never use this facility again - ever!! Reservation was at Pearl U-Haul. They sent me to Jackson U-Haul but when I got there they said they didn't have a 6x12 enclosed trailer. After about 30 minutes of looking for someone else who had one Jackson agreed to give me the one that some else had reserved for 3:00 pickup. We originally requested a pick up in Pearl MS and found out later that we had to pick up at Ellis and Hwy 80 location. My daughter is a medic and just this past weekend she and her partner had stopped to get gas. A car load of men came up and pulled a gun on them and chased them back to their headquarters. I did not want her going over there especially at night to drop off. I called the morning of pick up and spoke to Lashandra and asked her if we could drop in another location. We were in the phone approximately 40 minutes while she checked. She came back and said that we could drop at the Pruitt Lane in Pearl, MS. I asked her would I get a text or email with the changes and she said no that as soon as the trailer was picked up that afternoon that it would update but she was putting it in the notes. My daughter dropped the trailer in Pearl and we thought everything was fine until I got a call early this morning stating if I didn't come get the trailer and take it back to Ellis that I would be charged over $300.00 dollars. My daughter was back on duty today so I had to find someone else to go pick it up and take it to Ellis. The man in Pearl had the notes written by Lashandra in front of him and had read them and all of the above was clearly stated yet the man at Ellis told him that no one there would ever tell anyone that yet he knew exactly where to call this morning about his trailer. My family has used Uhaul and no one else to move everything for years. In fact a week ago this past Monday I had rented a large U haul truck to move myself from Columbus MS to Brandon MS. I have never been so outdone with anyone in my life. If this is the way U Haul does business then I know I need to go elsewhere ! I will also tell any and everyone I know that if they have to rent anything to pay the few dollars extra and rent from someone else. On one other note I do have to say that when I spoke with Lashandra she was very courteous and I know she was trying to be helpful. As far as the man that said that no one at his place would ever tell anyone anything like thatâ€¦. Never say never !
