Had difficulty doing the return. Didn't get the code until 2 hours after I dropped the truck off. Just dropped the keys in the box and called it a day. Then when I called the next day to make sure I wasn't going to get charged the 20.00 fee for not using my phone for the return, Iwe got charged for 2 or three gallons of gas and 16 miles over. So I the end , you got the extra 20.00 anyway. Very poor customer service. Last time we ever use U-Haul. Used to be a good company, but not anymore. Very dissatisfied. Some people don't have the smart phones to do everything by their phone. Go back to customer interaction.Martin G.

I was charged for 5 days when I returned the equipment the day I picked it up. I dropped off the equipment over 4 weeks ago, and got a random charge right after I brought to their attention the mistake. They called and I told them many times that I turned that equipment in, and because the merchant didn't check in the equipment I returned. I was charged for it, and had to wait days for the refund. I will not use them if I don't have to.Shawn S.

Trailer was stuck in a snowbank with a sheet of ice coating the roof. Employee had me incorrectly hook up a single emergency chain to the vehicle tow bar in order to drag the trailer forward so it could be correctly connected. This all should have been done before I arrived. I had to mention the sheet of ice twice before employees brought out a scraper to clear trailer roof; first time I mentioned it I was blown off as if they were trying to get me to take the trailer as-is. All this prep work made my pickup take MUCH longer than anticipated.Justin A.

DO NOT GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY! By far the worst customer service I have ever had. Rude personnel, no communication, vital details withheld. From reservation to drop-off! Horrible! Go somewhere else. Not worth it! I am still waiting on a refund because they didn't take my gift certificate. So, I paid double. Save yourself the trouble!!hannah W.

The inside of the cab was not clean. Dirt and what looked like old plants or weeds laying in the cubby areas. Dash was dusty and sticky. With Covid, we expected the inside to have been cleaned and sanitized but I was Not! Windshield was dirty on the inside. You could see the previous suction cup spots from GPS mounts. The passenger side door had a terrible seal and was super loud the entire trip, causing a big old headache. The gas was supposed to be full, it wasn't. (This was corrected on the paperwork when we called back). They didn't even do a walk around inspection like they're supposed to. There was no sense of concern about cleanliness or anything else for that matter and overall we were disappointed by the experience. Either way, we got the job done and returned it with more fuel than was in it to begin with.Robert P.

Service was very good at this location, and easy to pick up and drop off truck. Truck drove very well and did it's job. It was quite dirty in the cab (ciggarette ash and dust all over dash and cup holders and there was garbage left in the back. Definitely not cleaned (or sanitized) prior to my picking it up. For what I paid in mileage ($1/mile is a bit steep for a filthy truck), I would at least expect a clean cab.Marianna P.

The staff was quite helpful, doing the trailer hookup, testing wiring, moving the trailer back into place manually rather than me having to back it. I wish the trailer was equipped with tie downs that I could have used hooked straps with, but I also brought rope which worked fine with the notched oak strips. The 5x8 was used to move 10 or so furniture items.Mark R.

The facilities and their employees themselves were clean, polite, and helpful, however, there were a few problems that occurred that will lead me to second-guess using U-Haul again in the future. First: I performed my u-haul reservation online and based my pick-up location at Forest Hills (FH) in Rockford, IL. However, I received no notification that this location would NOT be my pick-up location and thus I proceeded to head to that facility first, but no biggie. Second: When I walked in to the FH location and asked about my reservation, I was informed that I would FIRST have to go to the state street location to pick up the truck, THEN head all the way across town to the North Main storage facility to pick up the car trailer. I do not believe this was professional in any means, especially since the storage facility employee informed me that the trailer was dropped off that day, leaving me wondering why the could not just drop it off at the same facility as the truck, or at least a closer facility. Third: Not a huge deal especially since they put the disclaimer that the trucks are water resistant NOT water proof, but by the time I made it from Illinois to Arizona and began unloading my personal items, I realized that water had seeped in and soaked a fair amount of my boxes and got part of a bumper pool table wet. Fourth: When I arrived at my drop-off location (thankfully both were to be dropped off at the same location), I was informed that I now owed additional money. The receipt states that it was for oil tire and repairs, however, the employee believed it to be due to miscommunication about how long my rental was for. Moreover, his perception is a poor excuse as I was informed that additional days for rental were only $40 dollars per day, where as the receipt listed the additional prices as $135 dollars for the truck and $63.68 for the car trailer. REGARDLESS of all the aforementioned, the employee was understanding of my concern about the water damage I received and proceeded to waive these spontaneous fees.Zackery H.
