I should get a refund. It was in a poor lit area (dangerous to begin with) and there was a homeless man sleeping in the truck. When I contacted customer service the lady I spoke to didn't seem to care and said I had to take this truck or wait for the office to open to switch trucks which was not even an option because I had people waiting to help me move. The doors should be locked and checked for cleanliness before the last employee leaves. It was disgusting. If I could give NO stars I would. Definitely won't be using this company again.

The process of checking yourself in feels as if you are doing the job of the U-Haul employee. It took much longer then going in and having the employee fill out information. Customer service was poor and the employee was rude.

Original web site that was selected for rental request was on Waughtown St., W-S, NC, but once reservation for rental was completed online it showed a different location for the actual pick up. Need to be stated up front. Thanks

The kid at the desk was friendly enough but didn’t explain anything about the truck itself. Just handed me the keys and said good luck. A 2minute overview of the equipment/ controls / features would have been helpful.

Garbage experience. First off they didnt have the dolly that I rented available, they still charge me for it. I returned my truck on 7/5 and I JUST NOW got charged for my order almost a month later, and its incorrect. Really frustrating and unexpected to be charged a month later with no coorespondance from uhaul. I also rented from uhaul about 3 months ago as well and the person didn't check me in either. I dont think I will use uhaul again as th most recent 2 experiences I have had were terrible.

We ordered moving pads and a furniture dolly along with our U Haul truck a month in advance but none of these were available for us at the time of pick up. The H Haul trick itself was very nice. They seemed very short of staff and many people in line waiting to pick up their equipment.

The store was great... the after hours return through the phone was horrible. Uhale get your act together! The website crashed every time I tried to submit photos. I left the truck in the parking lot and had to come back the next day. Horrible website! It’s not 1990 there is no excuse to have a website that acts like it is. Hire a professional and have a functional website!

We picked up a one-way rental truck at this location and it was not a good experience. Our pickup time was 5PM on a Friday. We arrived at 5:10PM, found our assigned truck and began the self-checkout process using my iPhone. We've used UHaul's self-checkout app several times in the past and it works great. It's super-quick and efficient and eliminates the need to go into the store or wait in line. The best part about it is you can pick up your rental at any time – 24 hours a day – even when the store itself is closed. Once you finish with self-checkout, UHaul sends you a lockbox code via text so you can retrieve the vehicle key and be on your way. However on this occasion the lockbox had no key in it. When I went into the store (which closes at 6PM from Monday through Saturday) to find out where the key was, the guy running the place told me he had removed our lockbox key promptly at 5PM and canceled our order, even though we had prepaid for the rental weeks in advance and had been on their lot walking around the truck itself doing the self-checkout. He then explained they are reluctant to let trucks go out on one-way rentals because they can make more money on weekends renting each truck out multiple times to different college students moving in and out of apartments. While this rationale is great for maximizing profits for a particular franchisee, it's bad business for UHaul on a national level and even worse, puts one-way customers in a very precipitous situation since people making cross-state or cross-country moves are relying on having a truck for a successful move! Anyhow, after some haggling the employee agreed to do us a "favor" and let us take the truck but I would nonetheless recommend you avoid this location if you need to setup a one-way rental.

The chains on the dolly were not given to us with an apparent plastic portion that would have prevented them from coming off the vehicle - because of this you folks effectively added more than 7 hours to our trip not to mention how incredibly unsafe it was. Nothing was done to rectify it from your part, we had to figure out a way to be able to make it to our destination.

Having the dolly and pack of blankets strapped to the inside wall of the truck is an inconvenience and should be an option to get when you rent the truck. I did not need the hantruck or blankets but needed the space they were taking up.

This location was great and the van was brand new. Staff at this location was great. However, the reservation and confirmation process was very bad. I booked a truck 4 days in advance online and then received a call the day before that the closest truck available was over an hour away. That was impossible for my situation so I had to lead customer service through multiple options to find one that would work. After 20 minutes and a follow up call, I wound up renting from this location. Very disappointing that this happened the day before i needed the truck instead of the dat after I ordered. The central order process needs major improvement.
