I was a little upset bc we got charged 20 for not checking in. After you get done loading and unloading and your tired and all your thinking about is getting this uhaul back before deadline so you don't get charged the extra money . And still get charged extra money. I have rented before and never had to do a check inKari H.
The girl working the counter was not helpful at allll. Took me a total of 4 hrs to get a truck and that cause I had to order it online cause she wouldn't help . While waiting inside a lady went in to buy boxes and she would not sell them to her cause she said yalls website was down . (Lie) . She made not want to EVER want to use U haul again .Amy A.
The 24/7 process is misleading. We set up the account then went to check in on Saturday morning. But it had to be approved. After all the "messing " around for 30 minutes we finally got our code. But our rental time started at 7:30 not 8 when we actually was able to drive off. The delay didn't cause us to go over time but caused a lot of needless stress. The office was incredibly slow and the truck was not clean. Their rental fee was almost double for SIX HOURS. I could get a truck 15 miles away and pay HALF OF what they charged and keep the truck 24 hours. Truck was filthy.... Covid must not be a concern to these people as the truck hadn't been cleaned let alone disinfected in a long time. There was dog hair everywhere. Drool and slobber spots on the window.Amanda C.
The actual truck was GREAT! BUT, the door was hard to open- no big deal, EXCEPT that it wouldn't lock when I pulled it down. Luckily, my house and the storage room were only a block from each other, so I online lost a little bit of stuff when the door rolled up..James L.

U-Haul agent took approximately 30 minutes to get me checked in. The agent did not hook up the trailer for me. I had to find the trailer myself. When I returned the trailer, I had to unload and park the trailer myself with no assistance. The agent did not check in the trailer right away . I was notified that I would receive a late fee if the trailer was not returned. I had returned the trailer one day earlier. The employee at Wirtco was not like had experienced from U-Haul in the past.John M.

Have the drop off location designated the day uhaul is picked up don't have the customer trying to find one on their own and then charging the customer late fees cause uhaul picked a location 50 miles away instead of one 21 milesLarry W.

I drove 8 hours to be there on time when they opened at 9am and they opened 20 min late. Uhaul cancelled my rental 4 hrs before my pick up forcing me to scramble and find a smaller truck at another company. Do not use unless they are your last hopeROBBY J.

Cost 200$ first of all and only cost 90$ the first time, it was full of mud and dirt, one of the tracks were of of the wall,i had to secure them, the lights didnt work,got pulled over, and had to repair some lightingnon side of the road, thank god i was hauling tool boxes to arkansas or i would have be shit out of luck, worst uhaul experiance ever!!!!john H.
Employee wasn't there when I came to pick up trailer..arrived 20 min. late, even after they reminded me of pickup time via text a few hours earlier. When I asked if someone could help me know how to hook up trailer, she said no..they don't touch the trailers. Then told me I just pick it up and put it on hitch and tighten knob. She said there would be instructions on printout..but printer didn't work..so she said she'd email me the instructions ( to my dead phone). I couldn't for the life of me pick up the trailer (48 yr old woman alone). So after nearly pulling my back out, I asked if they had a jack or something. We'll yes-right behind her...so she gave it to me and I went out and figured it out as best I could. I asked if she'd check to see if it looked right..she made sure knob was tight and said yes. When I dropped it off, I hadn't hooked up one of the three chains..but luckily I hooked up the brake one he said. I was late to get my son from work and dripping sweat. No incident. But I will never go to Wirtco again. They shouldn't be renting Uhaul trailers.Alisa R.

the mirrors on the 26 ft truck are so loose that they vibrate so badly you can't see what's in them. and at night it's just lights bouncing up and down, you can't make any distinction. I asked for a specific truck that had cruise control bc I was going over 500 miles. didn't get it. and the furniture dollies I ordered werent' with it, had to get them at a separate location. seems like someone could get it all together for youholly C.

When someone reserves a UHaul for 1 PM, the building should be unlocked. when i knocked on the door, the lady wouldn't even look at me. I then called and thankfully she answered.. she informed me they closed @ 12, i told her we had reserved a truck for one pm and she finally let us in. secondly, I had to drive to canyon to pick up the truck, no big deal, my fault should have reserved earlier. but when i asked if i could return the truck to a uhaul in Amarillo i was told that was fine and no problem that i could drop it off at any uhaul. when i went to turn the truck in i was informed if i didn't take it back to canyon id be charged double. not a big problem but a bit of an inconvenience as i would have left earlier thankfully i was able to get it back in time.rupert B.

It is unacceptable that you allowed the truck you rented to me on the road as a rental vehicle. 4 tires had to be replaced. There is a hole in the passenger side of the truck where a piece of metal came off the tire as it blew out. I had two incidences, one in Arkansas and another in Tennessee. I rented the truck in Canyon, Texas. It is unethical and unacceptable for you to put my life in danger. I am a grandmother 74 years old with two forms of cancer. I had faith in your company. We have been your customer for 50 years! I trust that you will refund the full rental and the loss of the movers who had a 72 hour cancelation policy. When the two days, Thurs. and Friday there were problems and my appointment with them was Sat. at 1:30 p.m. I got up at 3:00 a.m. and started driving to try to make it. I didn't arrive until 3:30 p.m. and they demanded their pay. Please be fair and provide the equal excellent service that our family has enjoyed for over 50 years. Please credit my Master Card with $2,097.70.00. God bless, I know that you had no intention to endanger my life. You should be more careful in the future. We were fortunate to end up at Wirtco after a bad experience with our reservation. We reserved a 26ft truck for 24 hrs from 5pm Friday the 7th to %pm Saturday the 8th. After getting phone cal telling us our reservation had been moved from Wirtco to another location sue to Wirtco not having a 26ft truck, we went to pick up the truck only to be told our reservation had been canceled after we did not show up on Friday at noon. Somehow our reservation was changed from Friday at noon-Friday at 5PM. Not only did we have to wait until Sat to pick up a truck but we had to settle for a 20 ft truck which meant twice the work and twice the trips during our move. We will not seek out Uhaul again. The 50 dollar credit we got for the change did little to help us on the day of our move.Rachelle M.

The guy who rented me the truck didn't tell me they close for lunch from 1:15-2:30. I had to wait and when he came back a little early because I called, he acted like he was mad. I told him I was sorry , but he was just rude. Sheesh. I just wanted to pick up the trailer to move my daughter back home after graduating college. That's stressful enough!DANA D.
