Nothing will beat face to face people signing out the vehicle. Waiting 45 min because the app continued to crash to attempt to pick up the truck. Once I picked up the truck the customer assistance told me I was good to go only to find out that my first contract wasn't valid. So a new contract was created but was overall a headache I didn't need in addition to the stress of moving. When I tried to return it took another 30 min because the app continued to crash. Was on hold for 20 min calling to see what could be done when the app finally worked and allowed me to â€œreturnâ€ the vehicle. Overall the 24/7 service is not something I would recommend to anyone.Anthony P.

Don't promise me one pickup location and then switch it to another at the last minute. Call your customer as promised rather than not. I had the worse experience i originally got my truck online for leffingwell whittier location then the canceled my irdwr moved to Rosecrans Norwalk thr night before from therr i was rented my Uhaul out the back of a gas station atva drop off location cause my whittier location had all the trucks rented. I was very un easy for the uhaul person to yake my license/atm card into the employees lounge of the 711/76 gas station they did not rent me the truck in a U haul place. I would NEVER rent anything from the Norwalk rosecrans location ...Melissa F.
There is an actual address to the location, but you do business inside a 7-11, I went to the key locker where the key was supposed to be, but the lockbox was open and no key, the 7-11 clerk retrieved a key. Also the app was very hard to use when trying to photograph the mileage and vehicle.Mark V.

BIG SAFETY HAZARD! Employee who had checked our trailer at drop off location told us that they the employee from pick up location did not properly attach trailer to truck and that it was basically a miracle the trailer hadn't detached. Little did they know that it did indeed detach by itself, but it happened as we arrived at the drop off location. The person didn't see that, however. Very very lucky nothing happened in our 9-10 HR drive until it was time to drop the trailer off.Ky S.

A sign said to go to the 76 station, went to the 76 station and NO ONE knew what I was talking about the guy at the counter told me he didn't do u-haul rentals. I asked to see the contract end the person who handled it in the convenience market said he would get it to us when we were ready to leave. Can you where you were in a big hurry to get to my daughter's graduation ceremony. After the trailer was hitched up, he had my husband sign the contract. My husband did not look at the price to realize that the charge was more than double what the agreement had been stated to us 30 minutes prior by telephone. After I pulled the contract out of the glove compartment where my husband had put it, I saw the discrepancy and called immediately. We could not go back to fix it because we would have been late at that point. It just seemed like the guy was pulling a fast one on us. Surely he could see the contract price that had been written 30 minutes prior. The people we spoke with on the phone we're extremely helpful all three times we called and they were able to change the date to a more convenient one that fit our schedule better. They resolved the discrepancy and assured us that our credit card would be credited the extra amount that we paid.Paul B.

An additional charge was added (insurance) that I did not want. I emailed U-Haul about the charges, but no closer. I will not be renting or recommending anyone to U-Haul. I have been a costumer for many years and never had an issue. This was my first issue ever and no resolution.Pablo G.

We followed the Instructions online and it said to go into the U-Haul location and talk to a representative. When I went to the address it had it was a party/U-Haul building and was closed. At this time it was 10am and the business hours were 8am. The note on the door said to go inside the gas station. When I went inside the gas station they had no clue what I was saying. They just told me it was in the building in the back. This building was the party supply place that had the note to go into the gas station. Finally after three times entering the gas station a older gentleman came out and said â€œfollow the instructions on your phone!â€ He said this very rudely. I told him I am. He said go to the building in the back. I explaining everything to him again and he just turned around and walked away. Buy this time it was 10:45. Finally I got a key to the truck but wait it's the wrong truck number from what I checked in online. The rude guy said that's the truck I'm giving you. I called customer service to get everything squared away. Got the truck numbers switched on my contract but after such a huge hassle. Everyone at this location did not seem like they even cared about customer service or even dealing with U-Haul customers. By the time we got out of this place with the truck it was well past 11am. Completely unacceptable. Then today going back to return the truck I already knew it was going to be a hassle so I called customer service before hand to have them on the phone. Well that started this whole return process off wrong. I got transferred to traffic which wasn't opened cause it's aunday. So I had to call back cause I got hung up on. This time I called back and it just rang and rang even after selecting make a new reservation. So I enetered the gas station and asked how I return the U-Haul and the lady said just give me the key. I asked do I get proof that I returned it? She said â€œnopeâ€ so I was not going to drop it off. But it was going to be a hassle to come back Monday to return this truck. So I signed onto the app and completed the truck return online not knowing of it was for the old truck number or the new truck number. This whole rental has been horrible. I have rented numerous vehicles, tow dollies, and trailers from U-Haul but this time has made me start looking around to find other rental places. Sorry for the lengthy feed back but this was rented for my wedding day so we can move all the presents and decor from the venue. And this transaction just left a sour taste in our mouth. On a day that was suppose to be a happy weekend it started off with the rude people at this location.Gino D.

When I dropped of the truck, they took the key with not confirmation they received. I see additional charges on my card but i have not received anything closing this and receiving a breakdown on what was charged to my card. I went to fill up the tank to get it to where it was when I got the truck. The truck kept showing half a tank and wouldn't move up , I stoped it and tried giving it a minute to see if the gage went up but it did a bit. After a while I just stoped and tried finding a number to call our guys but was unsuccessful so I left to return the truck. A few minutes later the gage went up to full after I had spend 80 dollars to fill just one quarter. I don't know if the sensor might not been working correctly but I feel like I got ripped off as I guys demand a 30 fee plus gas of trucks aren't return with the gas you picked up the truck with. Please let me know what you guys can do to resolve this issue as I spend more money when I shouldn't have had to .Jose M.

The first issue that happened was that I received my confirmation for pick up at All American Car Rental. When I arrived there the place was closed and it was locked with a heavy chain. I asked the tire place next door and they weren't sure what time they open. I then drove to the next closest Uhaul place and as soon as I drove in to the place I received a call from a gentleman asking me if I was coming. I advised him I had just pulled into the parking lot at his place. The second issue I had was the gentleman was setting me up with a 26 ft truck. As we were waiting for the him to get the paperwork ready, my nephew noticed a big bolt in the tire. We brought it to his attention. He then had to go get more paperwork for a different truck. The whole ordeal to get set up with a truck took about 1/2 he to 45 min. After all the paperwork was done I was ready to take the truck. The third issue was when we got to the house and was starting to load the truck I noticed minor damage to the right rear side of the truck just in front of the tire. There was no walk around done of the truck to make note of any notable damage. I called customer service to advise them of this issue and the customer service rep made a note of the issue. When I returned my truck it was around 11:30 pm. It took me a few minutes to find the key drop off box. Then watched the video on what to do when returning the truck. I then had to go back to the truck and follow what the tutorial said to do. It took me about 10-15 minutes to return the truck. OKathleen G.

Returned truck with correct amount of gas. This location just took the haul keys and would not do a walk around truck with us. Then charged us 65.00 to fill the truck with gas saying we returned it empty. Convenient that the owner of this insulation location also runs it out of his 76 gas station. You arrive at the address that is hidden and in the back only to find a sign that says to go to the 7 eleven gas station. I turned in the key to the attendants at the 7 eleven. Then a man came out with the key and tried to charge me an additional fee claiming that the truck was late (it was not). When I told him I was running late for an appointment he walked away leaving the keys in the truck and the door to the cabin open and said he was refusing it. That is highly unprofessional and just horrible customer service. He should not be a representative of UHAUL I have done a lot of business with UHAUL for many years and have never had an experience like this. Horrible, horrible just horrible. The extra day that I got on this truck did not make up for this experience.Priscilla V.

I am very disappointed with my experience at this Uhaul. I have always used U-Haul to move as well as I recommended a lot of my friends to use U-Haul. First, the location listed on my reservation was not the place I picked up the truck. I had to go to a back room of a gas station to pick up my receipts. I am going to place a complaint against Uhaul because I was placed in an unsafe situation and the man was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! The location is at a gas station that is under construction. The owner I believe he was said that they were closed that day for the Uhaul. The Uhaul store was located across from the gas station in the same parking lot but the sign said closed go to gas station. Hard hat area it seemed like because construction going on at gas station. Then after a few minutes owner says do you have a reservation and we say yes after I start calling Uhaul customer service and speak to a representative. He says ok sorry and proceeds with check in. We got the key to the correct vehcihle but the process was not ok.Dorothy V.

We rented a U-haul van for a time period of 10am-3pm, however we returned the van early at roughly 2:05pm. Online it stated that their close of business is at 2pm. The U-haul inspector was still at the gas station but had already closed his computer and rudely declined to inspect the van which we were curious of, but fine with since he would not be able to complete the full rental/business transaction anyways. With the other gas technician at the store we walked over to the van and analyzed and took pictures of the gas gauge, odometer, and all around the car for damage. In the past, we have rented cars where the agency calls back and tries fabricating damage charges and\or complaints of not enough gas in order to accrue additional fees. When we left that afternoon they informed us we would receive an email or call with our receipt and credit card charges the following day. We eventually received a call a day later from the U-Haul inspector saying that we did not put enough gas in the car and were 2 gallons short. I reviewed our documents and the pictures and verified that the gas level that we filled the van to surpassed the required gas level stated in our contract. We asked for a number or email in which we could send these pictures, however they said that they can not receive them. After declining to pay any extra charges that they were trying to incur, the U-haul inspector said that he was busy and couldn't talk any longer so he would let someone else handle it. He said that someone would contact us later that day. Around 5 to 10 minutes later, I check my email and the U-haul contract\rental agreement along with the charges had been finalized. There were no extra charges added and the final payment was exactly what we had expected. Upon reviewing the U-haul contract, we noticed that the gas level on the the temporary receipt they gave us the day we dropped off the van was drawn on and was a tick higher (between 5/8 and 3/4 ) than that of the final receipt (exactly 5/8). Not sure if this was an error on their part or a scheme by them to make it seem that we had inadequately filled the gas tank. It would not really have mattered anyways since we had filled the gas tank even higher (a little under 3/4) than the level they had put on the temporary receipt. On a final note, we have used U-haul before and plan to again in the future. Our experience at this location was not as pleasant as that of other ones we have gone to and we only chose this one due to the van's immediate availability. Whether it be the fact they appeared to try and scam us by charging us more or the U-haul inspector's rude demeanor, we will not be coming back to this location and strongly suggest others not to do so as well.Louis P.
