It was an after hours pickup. Started process on my phone (cell service wasn't great) and location services couldn't verify we were at the right location so we needed to scan a barcode. When we tried to scan the barcode, we kept getting an error message. Had to call the UHaul 800 number for assistance. Then we find out because we have an out of state driver's license, we need 2 other forms of identification of which we didn't have on us (passport, lease, etc...) Because why would we randomly carry those items around??? Fortunately, we were able to work through the issue with the nice customer service representative but the whole process took WAY TOO LONG. On top of that, we were forced to pick up the truck at this location that was 20 miles from our house. We initially rented from a place about 2 miles away. The next day, UHaul called and said another family needed the truck so we now had to drive to the farther away location. We wasted more of our time and our own gas money to drive our car to the new location. Terrible customer service.
